You better smile, Loren, cause you’ll never hear it done any better.

Just after the strings and the woodwinds failed, so there was a high contrast. ;-)

    Uh...intonation, perhaps?

Is this a critique or praise? I thought it was stellar intonation... Little vibrato from Phil made it even better.

Something did seem off. I'm not an expert about it. Maybe it was just the weird vibrato? Why is he using vibrato on a horn soli anyway?

Mr. Myers has never played in tune, ever.

I noticed it at 0:14. You can see it in his face as he tries to adjust it (the C#) but overall it sounded amazing

Mr Myers was just keeping the major third low enough to sound harmonically correct, a couple of 'em are a little too flat, but better flat than sharp in this case. Too many times principal horns don't lower the C# (which is generally a sharp note when played 2-3 on Bflat horn) and most of 2ºhorns got to push up the A to make the third sound right, but going off the intonation of the strings.
I hope this clarifies the matter.
