It seems like there's a misunderstanding regarding TPS (Transactions Per Second) and the overall performance of blockchain networks like Solana and Sui. Let me clarify the concept: TPS (Transactions Per Second) is a measurement of how many transactions a blockchain can process in a second under ideal conditions. It reflects the network's capacity to handle transactions, but it doesn’t necessarily mean the blockchain is constantly operating at that maximum TPS. For example, you mentioned that Solana processes around 2,500 TPS while Sui handles 28 TPS. This reflects the average current usage or load on each network but doesn’t necessarily reflect their full capacity. Solana’s architecture supports much higher TPS (potentially over 65,000 in some cases), but the actual TPS might be lower depending on how much traffic or activity is on the network at a given moment. Why Solana Might Have Higher Daily Transactions: Transaction Volume: Solana might have 10x the daily transactions compared to Sui simply because it has more users or decentralized applications (dApps) running on it, contributing to higher activity. Even though Sui might show a lower current TPS (e.g., 28), it doesn't mean Sui is faster or slower compared to Solana. It just means Sui currently has less transaction activity. In terms of actual speed (latency or how fast a single transaction is confirmed), that depends on factors like network architecture, consensus mechanism, and infrastructure rather than TPS alone.
Sui will dump big time. All the crypto youtubers are hyping it, that doesn’t mean anything good. I bought solana when all the youtubers said its going to zero. I've been in this space for about 5 years and have tried 20-30 chains, easily. I've been around to hear about all the new tech from new chains and for the most part, the differences were minimal and i think on some level, we start to tune out the hype because it's usually just that: hype. I gave Sui a try on testnet and haven't left them since. It's just built different. You'll notice it the first time you send yourself tokens from a CEX and the coins are in your wallet in less than a second of sending them. Dynamic NFTs (dNFT) allow for NFTs on Sui to evolve. This means in a racing game, you can buy a car as an NFT and buy all the parts that go with it separately, then merge those parts onto the car NFT. You can play that car in the game. Then you can then sell the car as a whole or part it out and sell all the NFTs individually when you're done with it. Imagine the market this opens up on games like WoW for rare and unique items... Overall, Sui is unique. I'm not getting paid to shill. I'm just a user. I'm not saying to invest in Sui, but I will say that this is one time when you should spend $5 and see if you think it makes sense to you. Regardless, best of luck to all.
Solana has had issues with crashes and failed transactions. Sui has unlock problems… It’s tough to really justify putting large amounts of Money onto either chain until more unlocks and proof that all transactions will go through and no crashing. But you should have some of both.

Yes, early access to the Sui cryptocurrency was granted to various venture capitalists (VCs) and investors through private funding rounds before the token was made available to the public. Sui, developed by Mysten Labs, attracted significant attention from prominent VCs, including Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Redpoint Ventures, and others, who participated in these private rounds. These private investors typically receive tokens at discounted prices or under special terms, which can give them a significant advantage when the tokens become publicly available. This type of funding model is common in blockchain projects, where private rounds help raise capital for development before public token sales or exchanges list the cryptocurrency. If you’re looking for specific details on Sui's tokenomics or investors, feel free to ask!

Think about it like this: Validators charge a fee to process transactions. Stakers get paid a fee from the validator to secure the chain. There is no burn mechanism in Sui, but Sui is capable of 100s of thousands of transactions a second. If you are staking and you get fractions of a coin/second, how long do you think that takes to add up? Sometimes value accrues in quantity. Eth can't accrue value this way because it can't process the volume, so value accrual is in token value, not token quantity.
