My Questions on this to Sumit Gupta, 1) If you say bitcoin is scarce, what if tomorrow someone creates a crypto which has all the features of bitcoin and is more scarce than bitcoin and is backed by any country? 2) What drives the price of crypto, for example if a company is listed in stock market based on the companies business performance and demand for the stock the price keeps changing. 3) Basic rule of a commodity is it should have demand. Even gold might lose its demand in a place where there is no food to eat in that place a packet of bread might be more valuable than a kilo of gold. 4) Is bitcoin technologically unique than other cryptos? 5) even nft's were on high demand at a certain point but eventually drained off??
1) Not one of them will be scarce like the way Bitcoin is. Other crypto are not truly decentralized and are under control of "someone" or "some country" who can wield tremendous power by way of minting more and more of same tokens hence new tokens too risky. BTC cannot be minted (re-printed or re-issued like gold, paper currency). and contrary to what you said, a crypto being backed by any country is dangerous and to be avoided. 2) Value of a company is driven by performance, Price is driven by demand and supply. Essentially greed and fear. Price of crypto is driven similar to stock market like a trading and investing however it is done in an unregulated way and indeed many such tokens may end up being scam. 3) Basic rule of a commodity is that it should have value and a use. Gold carries high value as it remains pure. When there is less food to eat in a place, anything valuable will be traded for a packet of bread including Gold. We will see all kinds of traders flocking to sell bread in that place in exchange for Gold. For sure, they will not accept money as it will be worthless by that time. 4) Yes, fixed supply of 21 million BTC "forever". 5) NFT's became popular as holding some NFT gave you access to exclusive clubs and offers where you get rewards such as airdrops or higher trading returns which make you further rich. NFT's may bounce back again but do check if there is any real use case behind those NFT's and they are not scam.

Would I ride the crypto wave, hell yea? why not, easy money....but what is Bitcoin? is it a currency, why does people trade it like a stock then? Where does its value comes from? from the fact that other people want to buy at that specific price and because of its scarcity? so anything which is scarce has value?.. Now I know people say "they believe" in crypto but how you value this asset? ... That Hawk Tuah girl released her own coin and conned these gullible people who were jumping on anything and I fear when this all ends the small time retail investor will be hurt... Warren Buffet is also against buying Gold and gold price has went up. So Warren buffet say something doesn’t mean that is always true. He is a good investor of stocks that’s it. Now most of the big investors buying bitcoin because it is hedge against inflation. Inflation means price of items going up. When inflation goes up because any possible reason, the value of currency goes down. Suppose 1 dollar is 80 rupee and because of war or any other reason value 1 dollar becomes 1 lakh rupee . In this case rupee deprecate . Your friend was smart he bought bitcoin worth of 1 lakh rupee before war . Price of bitcoin was 1 lakh rupee so he bought 1 bitcoin. Now after war his 1 lakh rupee will be still worth of 1250 dollar but your 1 lakh will be equal to 1 dollar. Your friend was smart because he bought bitcoin. This is only big reason why big boys buy bitcoin. I know it’s little complicated but if you will try you will get it

Warren Buffet is also against buying Gold and gold price has went up. So Warren buffet say something doesn’t mean that is always true. He is a good investor of stocks that’s it. Now most of the big investors buying bitcoin because it is hedge against inflation. Inflation means price of items going up. When inflation goes up because any possible reason, the value of currency goes down. Suppose 1 dollar is 80 rupee and because of war or any other reason value 1 dollar becomes 1 lakh rupee . In this case rupee deprecate . Your friend was smart he bought bitcoin worth of 1 lakh rupee before war . Price of bitcoin was 1 lakh rupee so he bought 1 bitcoin. Now after war his 1 lakh rupee will be still worth of 1250 dollar but your 1 lakh will be equal to 1 dollar. Your friend was smart because he bought bitcoin. This is only big reason why big boys buy bitcoin. I know it’s little complicated but if you will try you will get it
