- Winter is coming and this year I'm ready! We install a Polaris Pro HD Plow and test it out. We also install a front and rear windshield to make plowing a little more enjoyable.
Thanks for making this video, just what I needed!🍻
4 years with this plow and I love it. It's been great!
Another top notch product from Polaris. Grest video. Cool dog.
Hi, just wondering the difference between Polaris Off Road Glacier® Pro Plow Mount and Polaris New OEM Glacier HD Plow Frame Ranger. I saw a video with the oem and yours is the glacier pro. Not sure which route to go, thank you for your time!
Looks like they have quite a few offerings now. Share me the two item #'s your referring to and I'll let ya know.
In Northern Wisconsin we had another record breaking snowfall last season and with all the rain this year I think we are in for another year of the same. Was hoping you would have did a video of actually plowing with your setup. Looking to either add the plow to my 2020 Ranger Crew XP 1000 EPS NorthStar or buy a 72" Bercomac snow blower for it. Plowing is quicker and more fun, but blowing is easier on the vehicle. How did your plow hold up over winter?
Sounds like you guys got pounded. We didn't end up with that much. It was a extremely light winter for us. I really only used it a handful of times and it wasn't deep at all. I really wanted to post a video of it doing its job, but there wasn't enough snow to really put it through its paces and give a real honest review. For what we did have it performed flawlessly and I expect it to for an extended period of time, but I don't have the experience to know for sure. Wish I had more info to give you on it. Only other thing I can say is that I'm not mad I bought it. I do have high hopes for it and maybe this winter we'll find out.
@@lulusoffroad Thanks for the response. I will not wish on anyone to get as much snow as we have had in the past 2 years. Normally I can do it with my 2005 Sportsman 800 ATV. I'm opting for something enclosed now, with a heater! I'll have to post my own once I decide what to buy. Thanks again.
Did you find that the synthetic winch rope wore out from friction against the auto stop?
No, I've got a couple seasons in now and I haven't had any issues with the rope and don't forsee any to be honest. I've been extremely happy with the whole set-up.
You may wish you had a windshield wiper
Already do. Lol. Soon enough hopefully.
Wondering where you got the windshield. I need one
Got it from our local Polaris dealer. If you call Bob's Cycle in Houston, Ohio they will take good care of you, plus they can mail it right your house. Tell them we sent ya. The windshield is still great. 5 years and no issues. I love it.
What made you go with the poly plow over the steel?
I knew it would be lighter and it wouldn't rust out and look like crap as the years went on.
Lulu's Offroad
Have you looked at the shifter handle that controls the winch and plow angle?
@@cdub901 No I haven't seen that. I just control the winch with the wireless remote and that works pretty good. I did see that if you have ride command you can run the plow through that. Whats the handle your referring too?
Lulu's Offroad Polaris makes a shifter handle with four buttons on it so you can control up, down, left and right. They say the wireless remote will run through battery’s if you plow a good bit. Plus its all right on the fly right on the shifter so your not trying to shift and lift the plow at the same time. You can still keep the wireless remote also which is cool.
Happy New Year's to you guys and to epic 2020
Going tell all my friends to subscribe. You deserve good karma, good things happen to good people
Thanks bro! Looking forward to this year and getting out on some incredible rides. We have some good ones planned. It's gonna be fun. Happy New Year to you too!!!
You can't hardly get a plow currently, due to the political nonsense going on!
Sad to hear. This shit sucks.
