So my overall take is: this trailer basically shows that Walter's hounds are Frankenstein monsters and how Walter uses them with no regard for anything but the mission.
621 is our character in Fires of Rubicon. The next mission.

There are a lot of similarities between this story and Human Plus from Gen1. Keep Dying and get into debt -$50,000 6 times. Your body is shown being experimented on.
I notice this C4- 621 is us, the player.

Am I the only one noticing Walter walks with a cane? You can see one in the silhouette of his shadow.
If you compare this to the armored core 2 opening, you can see a lot of similarities. That gives me so much hype right now.
You'll actually find me pointing out that comparison in my thoughts part of the video. They quite frankly put small snippets of the past games openings in this. And it's flippin amazing as all get out.

Also, I think that those micro fiber optic looking wires that was shown disconnecting from the pilots ear couple be what’s projecting his memory on display since he’s basically a vegetable but also being interrogated 🥔 🥕
If you remember from the gameplay trailer Walter releases 621 onto Rubicon. I'm pretty sure 621 will be the player character.

This is my theory, Hound's are human plus, genetically modified and cybernetically enhanced to directly control their AC's providing unmatched control, resilience and reflexes.
We start the story as hound 621 made purely to get the mission done, nothing more than an expendable tool. Something happens to break us free from our indentured servitude.
We meet the Raven's, highly skilled independent mercenaries. Our missions change from ones of serving the interests of others to that of something bigger and more important, possibly affecting the lives of all on Rubicon.
Whether I'm right or wrong, either way I can't wait for this game. Been looking forward to a new Armored Core for a long time and I'm super hyped 😀
PS. I think all three hounds died completing this mission as have many before them. Walter treats them as tools to get a job done. We're next into the meat grinder but I think we'll break free
Fromsoft tends to put the “would have been” hero on their games, like souls with Artorias, Oscar, ER with Vyke, so idk 617 was down but his vitals signs weren’t gone

It is interesting that the in this story trailer, 621 was recovering while being ordered to wake up for the next mission. While 617, 619 and 620 was taking the suicide mission that left to the question of 617 survival. It is also curious to see the numbering start from 617, 619, 620 and 621, wait, where is 618?
I think 618 probably partnered with 621 from other mission before the story trailer mission, and end up dead, leaving 621 as sole survivor, barely functioning in the operating room. If from the story trailer we were shown that there are 3 man AC team in the mission like that, we can assume that the other team will be numbered 618, 621, and 622 (if possible). The current state of 621 in this trailer hinted that the AC operator was the only survivor in the previous mission, or not. Hopefully we get to know more 6** call sign operators to be revealed in the game.
And. Handler Walter refer 621 as "it". So why was that? We are seeing a body, under bodily operation, not being refer as him or her. Are they are being refer as "it" because they are not longer considered as living individual with right, but rather treated tools like a hound due to the contract? Well if it does, it might explained the behavior of 617 in rather, I don't know to say very dedicated or very desperate to finish the mission at all cost. Must be for the consequences of failing the mission that much worse than simply dying.

It's a similar pose but 617 was holding a chain gun. The ac on cover, nightfall, has a different head unit too.

So the Guy talking to Walter. Its the same AC that asked "Ready to climb the wall". So we know what his AC looks like. Also might be reason behind our Callsign of Raven.

You have the best reaction to this video, this the 6th reaction vid I've watched today and finally someone who comes to similar conclusions as me. I wonder if 621 was there but we just don't see his perspective or he got incapacitated first.
so I think handler Walter is visiting a dealer who has human bodies in storage because his previous squad was wiped out in the last mission, or just used to fulfill the mission. the dealer asks him to fill him in on what happened to them and mentions he’s helping clear his inventory suggesting he has quite a bit of humans in stock. near the foot of the operating table, if you look closely, the red substance being pumped into the subjects brain has a similar red segmented glow like the coral explosions from the reveal trailer. I think the coral is being used to forcibly upload the mind of the human pilot to the ac leaving the body lifeless or in a vegetable state. the bodies could possibly also be stored somewhere inside the ac during combat in order to keep the connection. any ac or machine with red lights with a vertical light bloom could have also undergone this procedure. the operator could be computer or a person. the pilots can not speak I believe. walter’s line to 621 he’ll give him a reason to exist, also indicates possibly 621’s body has been storage for a long time and that Walter himself has a purpose he wants to achieve on the planet
that trailer feels like some of the sweatier missions on hard mode from AC4A, when youre out of ammo, low on AP, and they throw another fight at you when you think the mission is over. or your first time against the Sol Dios land crab arms fort.

about this being the opening cinematic
so elden ring story trailer was in a sense similar to this in that it set up a base story and a lot of people thought the same that it would be the opening cinematic, but it wasnt in the game at all in any way
im not saying this cannot be in the game at all or there is no way it isnt the opening cinematic, what i am saying tho is that it is very well possible that this wont be in the game at all
armored core 6 is going to be in every way shape and form, next level in terms of care, love and time that has been put into it compared to previous ac games, i doubt you could even imagine what they are going to do, and i am so ready for it

this trailer dropped out of nowhere and it's a banger trailer. now people will know piloting ac is not like piloting a gundam after watching this trailer. breakdown video? yeah, I'm down.
if the story is deep good, then there's a chance of this being 👉GOTY contender
In the gameplay trailer you show in this reaction there is a conversation were someone asked why you are hiding behind someone else's callsign after saying that your call sign is Raven. I wonder if 617 was the original "Raven" that you are now impersonating 🤔
