You know its bad when the tornado alert siren gets the direct hit
OK still has the old style sirens. You can tell by the sound and they are louder and easier to hear in a vicious storm like that.
Life savers.
I see why they still use thunderbolts. It's got a blower that can amplify It's sound 10 fold.
Guy I know from Broken Arrow designed a lot of the old sirens OK still has up, he also designed some firetruck sirens. Very neat.
I’d never heard or seen them until I moved to NE Texas. If they were going for a sound you can’t ignore, they got it! Scary.
Bc we have too have the louds one so we don’t sleep threw it. 😂happens to often out here I live in Bartlesville I’m just glad it didn’t hit the west side
Seeing the tornado and the siren go dead is terrifying
INDEED EERIE
stop overreacting bub
@@chemicalcourage I was in this tornado emergency, you shush. You don’t know how scary it is to know you might die since you have no basement or storm shelter.
@@Nebhere "you have no idea" the fact you take a tornado personally is hilarious you put yourself in front of the tornado not the other way around from as an okie native on the reservation not a random settler such as yourself why dont you just move out of the state if you cant handle a little wind
@@chemicalcourage also it was a EF4, that is a tornado that could easily have killed me and the rest of my family. I don’t take a tornado personally, I love them Infact. But when you see a giant wedge tornado coming towards your town and a tornado emergency is issued, that is scary.
Literally just commented on this..Once the sirens goes out THAT TORNADO IS ON YOU
Not true
A tornado didn't even drop there though.
@@dethplayer713 you’re right it dropped 30 something’s miles away and traveled on the ground for 55 minutes hitting barnsdall ok, onto bartlesville ok you’re right tho it didn’t even touch us here. Tf
It's close, but most the time, it isn't going to hit you.
I have one 5 minutes down the road the other day, sirens went off. I had one 20 minutes down the road the other day, sirens went off.
@dethplayer713 are you saying this disnt happen? 😂 you are a worse case than this camera man. I could see trying to film something during the day...but he's out there in the dark for a EF4? Humm
Siren: 🚨
Tornado: Snitches get stitches bro.
🤣🤣🤣
Ok folks. The siren is sounding for a reason. The emergency alert people want you to take cover!!! They don't want you outside taking video. Please, NO ONE follow their actions. Take cover the second you hear Tornado sirens!!!
Damn you can feel that through the phone. Pure unbelievable just the fury a tornado can be. Mother nature is no joke
Wow deep...so wise
Welcome to Oklahoma . Signed an Okie.
This is only half mile from my home.
👍
@@richardbelsky7098 same.
Whoah!! This is beyond terrifying, Prayers for ALL who went through this 😢😮
God bless them all
**Hears tornado siren with tornado approaching** **also goes outside to film and risk life** Logic!
Midwestern Logic, correct.
It's a Oklahoma thang! We are so use to them now!!
Us Midwesterners are just built different
We risk our lives everyday. We could die in a car accident, you could die in a house fire during the night, you could choke on food… the list goes on.
Everyone knows the cameraman never díès
The moment those lights quit and siren stopped you know you’re screwed. 😮
Hotel guests run for cover you forgot because they are morons standing outside with the sirens going off…
Wow the funnel was right there!! Holy crap. I'm shocked nobody got sucked out of the door way.
It's always astounding to see how many people wait around to be victims when there's a crisis.
Dude it’s a tornado. It’s not like a hurricane where you have weeks in advance to prepare. A tornado will touch down in a matter of minutes.
Not everyone wants to be a coward and cowar in fear we like to actually see as much as we can it's amazing mother nature. Once in a lifetime event for some people and you can go and shake and cry in the bathroom hiding like a preteen girl the rest of us will be having the time of our lives with a story to tell later on in our lives.
@@michaelweimer2499go outside and shake the tornados hand then and welcome him to the neighborhood while your at it. Don’t just sit and start at it.
@@ezanakassu...tf are you on about? theyre talking about how these idiots were standing outside while knowing the toronado was right there and didnt run until it was just about too late. they didnt need weeks in advance, they knew it was right there.
@@michaelweimer2499its not being a coward to take cover from a natural distaster lmfao😂😂
Peeking around a corner when a tornado is on you is DUMB!!! we don't need a video, save your damn LIFE!!
Running for cover from the tornado 🌪️ into that Hampton inn !! 🏨 😮😮😮😮😮😅
Where else they going when the Tornado’s right there?
Where else do you suggest they go? Seriously
Midwest folk hate on California earthquakes, but stand in front of glass with sirens blaring until the moment the tornado slips past.
Nah, it's just the stupid ones. The smart ones are already down in their hidey holes or getting the heck out of the way.
how many times have you watched this?
15
Yes
All of them
A lot of
Damn stay safe
Risk you life for a video? Real smart
Alarms blasting and these fools are looking out the door.
It's Oklahoma, not their first or 10th time hearing those sirens, happens just about every year and sometimes multiple times in a year in any given Oklahoma town. Ours has went off twice already this year, half way through storm season.
The thunderbolt 1000T will always have that iconic sound to it
What not to do during a tornado! My wife used to work at a hotel and people did the same thing when we had a tornado warned storm!
I live in bartlesville and this tornado actually gave me a panic attack, it was absolutely terrifying
I actually live in Bartlesville too
@@DevonSimms683 oh kewl!
Thats truly something outta a worst nightmare

Was that noise the siren?
Yes it is...sometimes they can go on forever 😂

OMG I WOULD BE TRUELY SCARED FOR MY LIFE. FOR REAL
How the winds start picking up when you want to place your plants outside for a bit.
Hotel guests are stupid if they’re not in shelter already
Wish my town had a tornado siren.....
@@ava-cado8000Yes it is, some sirens like that one in the video cam stay the same sound and not go high low
Well duh. How else are you suppose’d to see it? 😂😅🤦♀️
I thought he shut the door on the other guy 😂😂😂
This was two miles from my house. It blew the roof off my favorite store in town and carries the steeple from the Baptist church a block away into the Inn parking lot.

The sound cut through me!
Heart pounding!!

😱😱
PURPLE 💜 GIRL
Get under ground
That's pretty cool
That loud siren almost chased the tornado away 😂
Awesome stuff
This happened in my hometown. Had the tornado not met with the squall line, it would have caused a lot more damage! That tornado flattened Barnsdall not far away 😢
I actually live in bartlesville, Luckily my home wasnt anywhere near the tornados path, but this was definitely a scary night
Live 2 miles south of this Hampton
Scary stuff!
That sound alone would terrorize me, knowing what's coming.
God-Bless Them all. 🙏 😮😢
AMAZING!!!!!😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Yea go outside during a tornado warning 🤦🏽♀️ You can clearly hear the tornado coming smh

What was that person doing outside there? 😮
Videoing the tornado?
Ah the terrifying sound of a Thunderbolt 1000t
Thats why you get to shelter right away. Hope everyone was okay.
Love the added music at the end 😂
Hope u all are okay ❤
Do they not have a storm shelter?
You know it’s bad when they try to sneak an ad in at the end but u can just swipe to the next short

Had to take that video
Great pictures, but dangerous!
I really wonder about people that try to get a video in the midst of a disaster 😮
You can really hear the roar of the tornado
As i keep saying, natural selection is a beautiful thing. Just enjoy the suspensful video! 😘
We stayed at that hotel last summer -
Been there done that lots of times . In Lawton OK
Florida everyday at 3pm in the summer..
Hit ! The !;! Deck !;! Just some ! Incumbent Weather.
Omg looks terrifying
How scary 😮😮😮
This looks smart - lets go outside to look at it! 😳😳😳😳😳😳
Hmm, I'm thinkin' folks who's entire neighborhoods were absolutely flattened, would question this guy's use of the word "destroyed".
Yeah nah not standing there looking at a half mile wide tornado in the rain and can bearly see it at all now thats scary
That place always gets tornado problems
The sound distortion on this video is INSANE!!
Please stay safe 🙏
Game on.😮
Those flashes ain't lightening, bro. And they knew it.
Why arent you running??
Scary specially with the siren in the background very eerie
Thunderbolt 1,000 made by federal signal from 1960 to 1991
That is NOT ENOUGH TIME! WHERE ARE YOU SUPPOSE GO?
Thats the roar of the tornado
Natural disasters are pretty dang terrifying…
Toronto luckily doesn’t get much, but I remember a rare earthquake that occurred less than 10 yrs ago that rattled me and it was on a maybe 5 magnitude?
So scary
Scary😮😢
They have another viral video of the people inside the lobby in the back
"10 people were lost to an EF4 tornado"
I wonder how
It was a really nice hotel.
My God, I hope no one was hurt! Hoping you guys are OK!
If they were it was their own fault for sitting outside during a tornado and recording it.
I hope they're safe! I'm in Bartlesville right now, and was watching the Nader from a from window too lol I was 3 blocks away luckily
terrifying
You know it would be so much easier if you just didn’t live in Oklahoma
I was in Bella Vista Ark in 2011 and we were supposed to get hit, it fizzled and reformed, and it put down a monster F5 that ripped up Joplin MO May 22
