- Kenner's MASK Action Figures Vehicle's Inspiration. The REAL LIFE cars MASK Vehicles are Modeled after. MASK Action Figures were like GI Joe and Transformers Combined, but it was the TOY CARS that were the Stars. Check out the inspiration behind the perspiration of the MASK Toy Line Action Figure Vehicles and their Real Life Car Counterparts.
For myself, Switchblade will always be the most iconic MASK vehicle. I even thought that-while wearing his mask-Miles Mayhem looked cooler than Cobra Commander.
Their colors were even similar, but Miles looked cooler huh? I will say I liked his booming voice, for sure.
Awesome video, i would like to see an updated MASK toyline and what modern day vehicles they would use.
I would love a "reboot" modern version, and YES, maybe someone could do a show on WHAT cars they would use today. Hmmmmmmmmm
Great comparison of the M.A.S.K. Kenner vehicles to the real world vehicles/aircraft! Fun to see how close some of them were. Condor was my first MASK vehicle/figure, and then Vampire was my last one of about 14 collected total including Boulder Hill. I always wanted to be riding a motorcycle and then switch on Helicopter mode in heavy traffic situations (or Thunderhawk). Thanks!
Okay, this is CRAZY. Condor was my first and Vampire was my last, too. I am not kidding. When playing with Condor, I imagined me doing the same thing and I started wanting one of those crotch rockets from the period, too. lol. Thanks for sharing.
@@GENXPERIENCE Ha, cool! Condor to Vampire! I was browsing through a retail store as a kid, and there was Vampire in the box, brand new back around when it was released.
Huge fan of motorcycles (and ride them for years now), so those motorcycle MASK vehicles were some of my favorites.
Condor's bike/helicopter definitely has the advantage as he doesn't need a take off lane to gain momentum. Thanks!
You could definitely see how these vehicles with colors and playability inspired vehicles after. Really cool to see a vehicle inspired by the Renegade! Might have to pick one up and paint it neon green like mine!
Make than one of your shows....a little homage to both generations. They were awesome cars, you bet they inspired kids, lol. Thanks man.
'78 kid here, love the channel dude. My favorite was Rhino because my dad was an OTR driver and drove the same rig with different paint.
You're dad was like a living Matt Trakker. Very cool memory, thanks for sharing.
My parents donated all my MASK toys to charity in the 90s after I "outgrew" them. Really wish I had kept them, but at the time I guess I was trying to be "mature" or some such nonsense...
Sounds like time to reaquire.
So many great vehicles. I think the outlaw. Big awesome vehicle sand still works perfectly.
I have Outlaw, missing a few pieces, but still awesome.
Steve McQueen’s Mustang in Bullitt is probably the reason I drive a Mustang today!
Keep it alive, keep it alive. THey just don't make muscle cars like that anymore.
And damn! That purple Nissan Z!
No kidding. It is one of my favorite MASK vehicles, and then I look at the real thing and I say...that is WHY!
Awesome video! Great job! I hope you find time to do a video for the other remaining vehicles & battle stations, such as: Bullet, Iguana, Billboard Blast, Collector, Afterburner, Barracuda
Thank you. Oh my the Billboard Blast. Although I do not have those additional pieces as they are past my original "Playtime" I still find them interesting. Thinking of acquiring a Billboard Blast for my collection, too. Thanks for watching.
My favorite vehicle was and is Rhino. Because it is not only a good looking Truck, it always has been a toy with a lot of things going on. Followed by Thunderhawk - but that only because it is an IROC-Z.
That truck kicked ass. Yes, there was so much too it...I wanted that in my car, lol. Well, the Thunderhawk is a straight, tough, sexy, 80s car...so I get it.
Ahhh. That Ramen toys shark makes a lot more sense now. Do you have a video like this for GI Joe? I know I used to see a few of teh GI Joe vehicles in popular mechanics ( or something close at times) Mostly the jets and copters.
I have the whole collection, but without an original SHARK, I get the shaft, lol. I dont' have one on their vehicles, but I should. Thank you so much for that inspiration.
Vanessa Warfield's Nissan 300ZX for me has probably THE best M.A.S.K. attack mode. The transformation may not be cartoon accurate, but its a better and sleeker flying car than the Thunderhawk. Plus, it can have a 3rd fan mode by transforming it halfway without folding out the wings to look like KITT's pursuit mode.
OOOOOOOh, I am going to go do the fan mode of my MANTA to the KITT pursuit version right now. Thanks for that, and YES, I would agree. It is my favorite vehicle in my collection.
@@GENXPERIENCE Thanks! Also, is it just me, or that Manta and Raven name should've been switched around since Raven has an aquatic attack mode while Manta has a jet mode?
The only one that wasn't right, was the formula race car. It wasn't Buzzard, you showed the one from Goliath .. ☝🏻😊
THank you. No one else had spotted that.
My favorite one was rhino ironically I still have him in storage
I have mine out on a shelf, if you can believe it. Just no side mirrors, lol.
Iconic vehicles
All of them. Always wanted Condor, though.
hmm outlaw with real truck really different?
Yeah, OUTLAW may have been tough to find in real life, but it was the closest I could get. I am sure it is inspired by something, but all together too different.
Between her paintjob and NOT Porsche 928, Gloria got done dirty.
You got that right. Seriously, the CAR was awesome. They made Manta, but not her? A crime! Then her figure comes out later....those horrible colors. Just not right.
