anybody who has never built their own account or payment service will never understand…given limited resources, i’m impressed that your redisgn will still be self hosted tbh. personally i think features like mobile support would be a higher priority.
Thank you Raphael for this very in depth video of what is the roadmap of Safing considering the tight resources.
I completely agree with all of your points but to keep it short, yes passkeys would be a lot better and having 2FA or MFA wouldn't be much of an issue since, like you mentioned, it's a firewall. The only problem I could see existing would be the fact that you can deactivate devices on the account page, rendering your firewall inoperable.
Still, for this to succeed on a bad actor it would have to be very well executed and hard to accomplish.
One last time, thank you for the amazing work you and the team have been doing and myself as part of the community I'm happy to continue supporting in any way possible ❤
Best wishes!
Thank you for the kind words and asking the question as well!
you are correct regarding the disabling of access to SPN, it will not disable Portmaster over all, but it allows to decrease privacy and security in that way remotely.
Plus features are more convenience features and disabling them should not impact security or privacy.
