Keep on keepin on feather's.!! You are living a dream most of us will never get to live..thank you for all the extra efforts you do and Wight you carry to share it with us..
Was all that memorabilia in that book at the hotel ? Lots of movies shot in the Alabama Hills. You probably didn't make it there; don't think the trail goes through the hills but it's really picturesque. Been there a few times photographing Whitney from the hills. Iconic setting for Whitney. Road to the trailhead might have taken you past them.
Hello Kate, thank you another fine video. There is so much beauty in the Eastern Sierras. Your videos are doing a great job of capturing that beauty. I look forward to another episode of Kate's great adventure. 🤗
Hello Kate, happy Saturday. I was concerned about you, haven't heard from you for a week. Should we organize a search party? I know that so many things can happen out there on the trail. As time permits, could you please let your subscribers know that you are ok? Please take good care of yourself. 🤗
I am guessing you turned off the PCT at Mulkey Pass? I am surprised word hasn't gotten around that Trail Pass works out a little better. The trail down from Mulkey isn't used often, and sort of disappears in the meadow. Of course with that amount of snow, most of the trails are a little difficult to follow. Also, the trail from Trail Pass puts you at the campground/parking loop, rather than on the side of the road ;-) You got one of the fancier rooms in the Dow Villa there... at least in the original building... you have your own bathroom! :D I stayed there with an ex-coworker when we exited from a 3-day trip from Horseshoe Meadow to Whitney Portal (summited Sept 12, 2001). We had to use the community bathroom down the hall :-D If you are still there, you might find the museum interesting. Hundreds of movies have been filmed in the area.
If somebody here has Kate's phone number can you contact search and rescue and see if they can't at least ping it? She seems to have a tendency to travel with just one other person if not alone and a snow bridge collapse rescue would require more than one other person. Yeah - I know she might not be able to post because of no internet but at this point she would have had to resupply somewhere and at least gotten word out that she was ok. The high water in the Sierras is no joke and I am very concerned for her safety
Seeing what is just north of Feathers is what has me really worried about this long time without posts or contacts: ruclips.net/video/OuLdCv8g80g/видео.html
In that link I just posted the thing that concerns me the most is stuff like the snow bridge collapse at 9:09 (In the linked video ruclips.net/video/OuLdCv8g80g/видео.html
Haven’t seen an update. Hope everything is ok!
Yeah - Me too - I keep looking for that wonderful blue dot to show up beside "Kate Cloud" on my subscription list to signify a new video.
Same here.
Did everyone get the idea that Kate is in an area that’s inaccessible for her to download?
@@victoriamorris3090 Yes, of course I am aware of limitations the area presents. Its not about the video but her welfare that I am concerned about.
I’m betting she lost or damaged her phone.

Lone pine! One of my favorite. Many, many movies have been filmed in the Alabama hills, many westerns, that why all the motif.
In the sierras is tough. Hope you are in enjoying the adventure. Look forward to your next installment. Walk Safely.
So glad you did Lone Pine
