The twisted trees at 6:14 are called Bristlecone pine. They are the oldest living things on earth. In secretly known locations near you the oldest known at approximately 3700 years old.

Just catching up on your videos besides your IG photos and I seriously can't wait to be up high in the Sierras next year! So beautiful. All I could think watching you is "if you're not out there doing that, are you really alive?" Such freedom. Just incredible!

Bad Day At Black Rock is (IMHO) a great movie. The fight scene in the cafe is soooo good!

Nice wolf catch. Good to see you have some footwear. Interesting spiral trunks. Wonder if the tree has a wind advantage.

no wolves in CA. one was briefly living in the far north a few years ago, but otherwise not present here in a century. Coyotes sound very similar and are Everywhere

With being in the Sierras and not having a free standing tent, how is it steaking the tent into snow? Mine isn’t freestanding so trying to get knowledge for what to expect. Thanks

Nice gaiters 😁 Do they keep your feet and legs drier or are those shoes still too breathable to make a difference?

Quick, tell these kids that COLD air SINKS.... NEVER camp at the bottom. Camp on ridges. Camp on benches off to the side. Just DO NOT camp at the damned bottom. Freeze your ass off at night and get no sun in the morning so you freeze your ass off in the morning as well when the ridges have SUN and are ~10C warmer
