When my old lady and me (her old man) first decided to start a family although unexpected, I wanted us both to work and we would share the raising of the kids, she wanted to be an at home mom, which is fine, I was raised by a strong single working mother whom I rarely saw but loved so much. To that end I insisted on no marriage, (i didn't want to work my ass off for my family and get the shaft) she agreed and 18 years later we have 3 great kids, I guess I should marry her now lol

Marriage is a contract where only one party (typically the woman) benefits if they break it.
She gets the house, the kids, and half of his assets (sometimes in perpetuity). He gets to fund her life without any continued benefits from her.
You can still get married before the Lord in an old fashioned commitment. Just don't get any paperwork involved. A good Pastor will do it with no marriage license.

I was with my chick for 6 years before I got engaged and married almost 2 years after that. Young men need to know what they are getting into even if it’s not “culturally” accepted. My cultural upbringing looked down upon living with a woman until marriage and my now wife came from a culture where there wasn’t much in terms of that but it doesn’t matter what people on the outside think because when it comes down to it, it’s just going to be the two of you at the end of the day. Men need to also not waste a woman’s time and take all her good years from her as that is unfair if she is serving as just a convenience for you. You have to be honest with yourself and ask if the woman you are seeing has the potential to not only be a great wife but also a great mother. These are all things that can be worked on while you get past the lust stage of a relationship. Have open communication about money, goals, problems and approach your grievances without swords and shields. Get to know yourself before trying to get to know another person because your partner shouldn’t “complete” you, they should complement your completeness. Listen to your gut about the red flags, be fair, just, compassionate yet fierce in the defense of your woman when the time calls.

Actually another woman witnessed it and she told me that what he said to me was considered sexual harassment. I told her it was rather odd what he said but I wasn't going to report him for it. I just blew it off. This woman went over my head and reported him to HR and he got in trouble. I'm actually glad she did it because, if not, he probably would've spoken freely like that to another woman thinking that it was OK or his "right" to do so as a man.

For those of us who believe in God and keep his commandments and believe in traditional values and gender roles, marriage is still very successful and doing just fine. The only reason so many marriages fail is because people try to embrace the idea of marriage but don’t wanna have anything to do with God or the gender roles the Bible lays out. God created the institution of marriage, he gave you the instructions on how to have a happy marriage, so it’s no surprise that those who fail to read the instruction manual are the ones having trouble making marriage work. It would be like buying a car, taking the engine out and then being confused why the car doesn’t go anywhere when you try to drive it.

However, I watch now, in a red pilled state, people getting married in my church, knowing full well that most of them are doomed to failure before they even said, "I do". If you've ever been to child support or divorce court he speaks of plenty knowledge.. but the only issue i have is when you choose to procreate children... I have 2 kids out of wedlock & thats no way to raise children... & I retained custody of my youngest son as a man.. I honestly don't know what to tell a guy but choose wisely if you do marry.
