28:21 That game is literally my childhood, I used to have this bootleg PSP, it had like 100 games on it including this. EVEN SONIC 3 FULLY PLAYABLE,it didnt even have glitches!!
I always really enjoyed playing The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy game on the NES. I played it quite a bit when I was younger and did finally finish it. I never knew there was a sequel until many years later but I'm sure I would have liked it too. I've never played 7 Granddad but, I can't imagine it's that different from the original game just the goofy Mario head on Fred's body.
The reason the princess peach from the Mario fighting game is probably due to Princess Toadstool from the Super Mario Bros Super Show, which from my understanding was what peach was called in the west until Super Mario 64, and she for some reason had brown hair instead of blond.
30:34 That's not the actual Super Boy 1 bootleg; this is just a hack of the actual Super Mario Bros., _made_ to look like Super Boy. In question, Super Boy 1 is actually a bootleg that plays like Super Boy 2 and likewise, was also released for both the MSX1 and Sega Master System.
also, the Master System version isn't exactly a Master System version, it was actually programmed to the SG-1000, the Sega Mark 3's predecessor, which had similar architecture to MSX, hence the janky scrolling.
Superboy series was made for Korea for the Hyudaii Gamecom, the Korean version of the Famicom. Nintendo , at the time, had to distribute through a Korean company due to a Japanese trade embargo. Superboy was made to give more of a Korean Nationality to the game. When the embargo was lifted, Nintendo and Mario could actually come to Korea. Superboy had to change to what we see in Superboy 4
26:56 Your issue is that you were playing a PAL rom in NTSC. That's why it was so broken. Try setting the emulator to PAL and it will work much better.
6:28 If it makes you feel any better, the Japanese name simply translates to _The Wonderful Yanchamaru 3 Confrontation! Solingen,_ or in English, _Kid Niki: Radical Ninja 3._
You laugh at them but some of those games were my entire childhood. I live in Indonesia, original cartridge were so crazy pricy and not accessible. People just sold those bootleg games.
6:13 or Kid Niki 3 as it's known in the west, only the first Kid Niki was released internationally, its 2 sequels only came out in Japan on the Famicom, ROM hacking Japan-only Famicom games that western gamers aren't familiar with is a common trick of bootleg game makers, same with the Nuts & Milk hack with Mario and Luigi in it
"mario 14" is such a good fucking name. i love when bootlegs go "ah i know what will make my game NEVER look old" so they just name it some shit like "Sonic 29" the thought that a franchise would actually release 14 sequels and put no effort into the name is really funny
About Super Mario World for the Genesis: After the bowser boss fight the rest of the game doesn’t have anything to do with Mario, but it’s the original
I remember playing a Mario bootleg on the Commodore 64 that was a reskin of a game called Great Giana Sisters which was itself a knock off of Super Mario Bros. So a bootleg of a bootleg.
I played Mario 10 on an official Nintendo mini and that when you played Mario bros 1 it called it Mario 2 with a weird looking Mario you can get and see waht I meen if you buy a Nintendo mini
So...the Sega Master System outsold the NES in both Europe...and especially in South America (Brazil in particular). Also...it was more powerful than the NES in every way but music...but in Japan, even that is untrue as they released a sound upgrade that gave it the same YM2612 FM sound chip that the Genesis had as standard. The Sega Master System had literally double the color depth of the NES and could handle more sprites without flickering.
Conner: nobody played the master system ever Brazilians who still playing the master system to this very day because current gen consoles are very very expensive:
Oh, this is actually insane. Did someone really translated "Dendy New Reality"? Few years ago show wasn't even fully recovered missing a few episodes if I remember correctly. It would be quite interesting to see opinion on it from other countries really but I suggest some research about why we had Dendy in the first place, at what years show aired and all the story with SNES in Russia. Honestly, the moment you don't take that too seriously show can even be enjoyable.
Nokonoko & him being as big as Bowser brings a Paper Mario character to mind: Kent C. Koopa, who is a Koopa Troopa as big as Bowser who blocks the road & you have to either pay him or fight him to get past
22:17 The reason why Bonsai Bills are replaced with Fire Balls is because the NES can't show the Bonsai correctly due to the sprite being too big.
makes sense
Yeah
In a alternate universe Grand Dad is a game about Fred Flintstone placed on Mario's head in Super Mario Bros 3
28:21 That game is literally my childhood, I used to have this bootleg PSP, it had like 100 games on it including this. EVEN SONIC 3 FULLY PLAYABLE,it didnt even have glitches!!

Maybe you're talking about Pauline? Because she's the first princess in Mario franchise.

"There's no Mario in sight! Not even yellow Grand Dad!"
At 10:26, Mario is seen carrying a bird in the background.
11:25 Dendy is technically not Russian, it has been produced in Taiwan and sold in most of European stores, including Russia
It was sold in other ex-Soviet countries, too, such as Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus.
I love that he's cursing so much!! 🤣🤣🤣 Hilarious!

Super boy 2 is actually super mario bros special/PC port.
1:28 what? super smash flash 2 but for nes?
19:56 - “Mario Boss 2” bootleg is inspired by the NES version of Hammering Harry game
14:07 *In this game, Chinaland is under attack by Undyne. If you know, you know.*
16:45
I haven't watched you in years gald your still uploading :)

Mario Boss 2 was a reskin of Hammerin Harry 2 from Japan 🇯🇵
8:35 they should’ve followed Joy Mech Fight for this
Unless this was before the latter

I'm 39 and I remember playing Mario bootlegs as a kid just like these. My cousin and I would game together and he found a lot of these.
"mario 14" is such a good fucking name. i love when bootlegs go "ah i know what will make my game NEVER look old" so they just name it some shit like "Sonic 29"

About Super Mario World for the Genesis:
After the bowser boss fight the rest of the game doesn’t have anything to do with Mario, but it’s the original
Y'know, maybe we should think of Mario bootlegs as the ORIGINAL romhacks. "Hey this reminds me of Mario!" "Hey we should put Mario in the game!"
👁👁
The good days of Conner covering bootleg games. I am kinda regretting forgetting about Connor-
:(
"no one ever played the Sega MasterSystem"
I came here to have a good time and I honestly feel so attacked right now
Holy shit MARIO we’ve been bootlegged ! Yahoo !
30:37
This is a romhack of SMB1.
The OG Super Boy game was on the Sega Master System, but you tried at least.
Mali is just like: "WHY IS SPEAR OF JUSTICE PLAYING??????????"

I remember playing a Mario bootleg on the Commodore 64 that was a reskin of a game called Great Giana Sisters which was itself a knock off of Super Mario Bros. So a bootleg of a bootleg.
I believe they called it mario 5 because Super Matio U.S.A. was the 5th mainline console Mario game to release in Japan
I played Mario 10 on an official Nintendo mini and that when you played Mario bros 1 it called it Mario 2 with a weird looking Mario you can get and see waht I meen if you buy a Nintendo mini
same thing for Mario 14 oh so that's why it Makes Mario turn into a different character that makes a lot of sense
same thing for Mario 14 oh so thats why Mario changes into a different character that makes a lot of sense
Been gone for a while, I see you have been refining your craft over the years.
9:13 Hmmm, luigi in a castle like room with a bridge over lava ( or magma), does this feel familer to you.
9:50 Ya know what? I just realized that Mario design kinda looks like MX. Was MX, by any chance, designed after that bootleg Mario? 🤔
30:32 That’s not the real Super Boy 1. *This* is literally just a reskin of Super Mario Bros. 1. The real Super Boy 1 is *obviously* like Super Boy 2.
Thank you so much for'to watching'a my video!
Nice Mario 64 reference at the end
If you guys didn't know he was referncing the line Mario says : "That you so much for a playing my game"
10:47 He's not just chilling, this pose is legit the same as Sonic on SEGA Genesis.
23:40 The mario sprite down there in the right
15:29 wow i never thought about it that way
All these years later and I get you in my recommended again
Mario bootlegs are scary and I kind of love it
(0:59)
That Sega Genesis Super Mario World game was a reskinned Squirrel King, which is a reskinned Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers
Conner: plays game
"that mario bootleg is amazing"
cant hit a block
"worst game on earth"
10:14, is everyone going to ignore the yellow hammer and sickle on the floor there?

I think the palette swapped peach is meant to look like chun-li from street fighter
Conner: nobody played the master system ever
Brazilians who still playing the master system to this very day because current gen consoles are very very expensive:
I played Kart Fighter on my dad’s Mac, he was over impressed.
Funny story, the Sega Master System was actually a bit more powerful than the NES!
20:47 the cutest goomba
27:07 that music. That *god damned* music.
Super Boy 1 and 2 were legit bootlegs originally released on the MSX.
Oh, this is actually insane. Did someone really translated "Dendy New Reality"? Few years ago show wasn't even fully recovered missing a few episodes if I remember correctly. Why was the intro 2:15 long?!
Nokonoko & him being as big as Bowser brings a Paper Mario character to mind: Kent C. Koopa, who is a Koopa Troopa as big as Bowser who blocks the road & you have to either pay him or fight him to get past
Thanka so much for wasting my time (also mario 64 reference)
9:56 excuse you? leonardo from tmnt does not have a red band around his face, it's raphael that has that, leonardo has a blue band around his face.
“yea f### you luigi you don’t get a Roman numeral”💀💀💀
conner is taping into his inner James Rolf
6:46 Seems EXACTLY like something Wario would do.
The Super Boy 1 isn't on the nes it was in the master system and used the Super Boy 2 engine
