Need more of these two going on adventures. Gavin makes a real attempt at humor in his videos, bless his heart for the effort, but this video from Alex is true comedic genius. 🤣🤣
That was an interesting video! All I will say is that the climb into the canyon looks worse than it is, and that you guys should’ve ignored the first rope and continued up the river and you would’ve been at the first waterfall about 5 minutes later, saving A LOT of effort. Cheers!
I'd actually wondered, since you were both at Watkins Glen around the same time, if you were going to meet up then. I'm glad y'all took the opportunity to do so now.
Fun video and cooperations can be really enjoyable, but I already subscribe to the Phototripper channel and one dose of Hardcastle humor per week is generally enough. Btw, there seems to be slight problem with your link to Gavin's cannel.
Definitely loved all the scenery, even enjoyed the challenges of the gorge….real life. My dad was an Army Sergeant so grewup with very little humor ….. 😊. I hope you are planning a trip to Fundy Bay. It is on my “before I die list” ❤
I like Gavin's Lowpro backpack! I've been using the 400 for 5 years and it has performed great (the best one I've owned in years). Also, the comedy continues to amuse. Awesome video.
Great video both, absolutely excellent. You are so lucky to be able to access these areas by vehicle. I was amazed that people leave ropes to help access as well. In the UK, thanks to some destructive off road groups, a bunch called the Ramblers Association, and some very unsharring land owners, we no longer are able to access a good deal of our countryside other than on foot, which shuts off many spectacular views of the countryside for those who are unable to walk long distances.
I have been to those falls. The wrong turn you took was the way I came in. There's a dirt road that you can drive up to and take that trail to the falls. When I was there there were two ways to get into the Slot Canyon. We took the ropes to the right. Still have to descend the ropes down but was easier than the left side in my opinion. The trick to get the gear in there was using a rope to lower the bags down. It worked very well for us.
I am only at 3:00, Alex, and I am laughing so hard. How did you connect with Hardcastle? I know him from Thomas Heaton and the other guys that all took that crazy fun trip together a few years ago. I guess the good stuff/guys just keeps popping up. Cheers, Alex.
Nice that you two ran into each other - my wife and I regularly watch both of your channels. Alex, you held you own against Gavin and his brand of humour! Well done! You guys did well together!
Not trusting Gavin Hardcastle is a maxim that should be taught to all aspiring nature photographers along with the exposure triangle and the rule of thirds.
Hey if you enjoyed this kind of content, let me know down below. You can find Gavin's channel here - youtube.com/@thomasheatonphoto

That’s awesome! 😂
oh man this was great. That was a fun day out for sure. hopefully we'll squeeze in some more before your visa expires.
I have a visa?! 😬
Alex, please take care of this iconic artefact, Gavin needs to be preserved.
Working on it
I love the energy and humor that y'all have together! Such a delightful video!
Glad you enjoyed it Scott :)
Too funny. I hope you two got some pictures, but it seemed like a fun day.
Haha! When I saw you start posting content from Nova I knew it was just a matter of time before Gavin would make an appearance!
Excellent fun! Armitage and Hardcastle, a winning combination (even if they sound like a real estate agency).
or a lawyer group haha
Love the Dr. Bronners. I live about 500 feet from his original compound. ;-) Great stuff.
If you cut a tread pattern in the hard covers of Chasing Awe, you can make a decent sole for gripping those inclines......
hahaha exactly Andy
7.10 in the morning ... and I am WOW =)) tearful laughter ... it was a very nice morning exercise for my abdomen. Good video!
Good morning!
My two favorite landscape photography RUclipsrs together 😂😂😂 hilarious, highly enjoyed it

He was about a month after me which was a coincidence! Thanks Sean
@@AlexArmitage we're about a 2 hour drive to there so my wife and I plan to head there in the autumn to capture the colors with the falls and bridges.

well you're in luck considering he didn't release a video this week!
I noticed, that was surprisingly considerate of him. He must have read my comment!

I did go, just didn't film there!
This, is why drones where invented. Scouting ahead =P

Thanks Steve. Sucks to hear about a small group ruining it for everyone :(
That’s actually an amazing photograph at 17:36 😍
You two are headed for the stage
How do you do those trippy rainbow effects?
Two of my favorites on one video.....we're luckier than you both were trying to get that portfolio worthy shot!!
Good morning Alex 🌈 you two are a hoot!!!!
Good morning Linda. Thank you!
The bear spray is hilarious

Don't think either of us felt comfortable doing it sadly
@@AlexArmitage It's well worth it. Its a great set up falls.
Did Alex notice the bear tracks in the mud of the trail during the canyon scouting at minute 3;25 or so??
hahah yep you saw that at 3:55 good stuff
Absolutely :)
Not sure how I landed on this video but good to see Gavin showing of his endurance

I actually have similar humor. It just doesn't come out by myself much
Gavin sure takes folks to interesting places eh? Ha Ha love the 80's top gun-ish music with the drone footage.
Thanks Jason!
What post gfx editor did you use? There is no way that Kevin Hardcastle fellow could climb that hill 😅
Haha
Alex do your cameras make Gavin's ample girth as he refers to it as look bigger than usual? Just a query.
Haha. Its the wide angle distortion
@@AlexArmitage very diplomatic Alex👍
Excellent and funny video.
Glad you enjoyed it
The pan down when Gavin says "This is the deluxe package.." 😂😂😂
I didnt know if anyone would notice that
@@AlexArmitage low key comedy gold Sir.. ✨👌🏻
Quite good Alex.
Thanks Robert
I’ve not seen Gavin funny before! Well done.

maybe I'll make a video on it
I’m sure if you sat on chasing awe by gavin hardcastle you could have levitated down into that cave 😂
this was a good idea
Nice. Very nice, photography, Hate the music. Found it very intrusive. Love Gavin.
Did you find bear poo with pepper spray smell?
Ha ha. Nice 👍🙂
Never trust a Yorkshireman…😂❤
