Funny you should say that. I don't know if you live in the U.S., but a few years ago, Orkin, an exterminator company, had a really humorous commercial, where the woman had a problem with ants. Her husband told her to get a professional to deal with problem, so she hired an Irish dancer to "stomp" out the pests". He said ' no, get a professional" he was referring to Orkin exterminator. It's hilarious when you see it. In a commercial for another company, a couple is sitting in their living room complaining about the pumps. People assume they are talking about the water pumps, then the camera goes to the top floor showing a group of Irish dancers practicing their routine on a wooden floor. The pumps were a sly reference to the dancing shoes.
congratulations David Geney on winning the World Championships Irish Dancer. for 2015. Good luck in Britain got Talent this week 2017. UP The Irish all the way. We love your dancing.
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked. If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
An all Ireland Champion is a massive accolade, however ,to be a World Champion is just phenomical considering how difficult is to learn and master the art
All Irish dancing does not involve keeping you hands down by your side only certain ones and the reason is that dances were held in small cottages with a crowd of people so there was no room to swing your arms around ,there is a belief that there is a moral aspect to it as in keeping you hands to yourself and not to be mauling the girl but I think that would be unlikely when you are concentrating on the tap at high speed
I always thought that it was because at some point in history dancing was forbidden and so they had to look like they weren't dancing when viewed through the window from the street so as not to get in trouble. Hence the original dancing with only the bottom of the body and no action on top. Or am I thinking of Scotland...🤔
I wish he went in like this without all the gimmicks and just him and hard floor. Because he is so talented. Am so sad it didnt resonate with the judges, the amount of work that goes into dancing like that. He is still a star in our eyes.
he certainly is talented but it wouldn't of worked without the "gimmicks" as thats what allowed it to appeal to a larger audience rather than just those who actually have an appreciation of irish dance
nonie c I met him in Ireland in his pub and he told me that after his audition he was going to do something different to his audition and more like this or better but the producers wouldn't allow it and forced him to do the same as the audition 😥
Man that ain’t nothing but tap dancing. He trying hard too. His best dancing is a walk in the park to greats like savion glover and Gregory Hines. It’s a good attempt though
KennEH that is cause you have not practiced it. They say that when an Irish dancer makes everything look easy, it is cause they definetely are good dancers. Believe me when I tell you Irish dance is more difficult than tap. I have practiced both dances
Irish dancing was originally performed in small country cottages so all the expression had to be tidy arms down by your side and carried out in a confined space brilliant
@@vincenthigginbotham8729 exactly that. Maybe with some more practice, he'll be able to focus more and do better form. The potential seems to be there.
Sound like my uncle when he is trying to adjust a old Chevy Silverado engine.. amazing stuff
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣
When he stop tap dancing but then he goes even faster: "THIS ISNT EVEN MY FINAL FORM"
it’s not tap dancing
There's been a spider living in my house for a month now that I can never stomp in time, I need to hire this guy

The close seats are for the deaf or soon the be deaf community.
AN ABSOLUTELY SOVEREIGN PERFORMANCE!
I love the little girl peeping over the edge of the stage, absolutely fascinated by his amazing dancing ❤
Flatley: I’m Lord of the Dance!
Geaney: Hold my beer
Two different styles.
I agree just diferent styles. But masters!!!
Those are some incredibly fast feet!
His rhythm is fantastic!
If I irish danced, I wouldn’t be able to walk without thinking deeply about my feet.
He's beautiful at this for sure.
Would be perfect for Riverdance whenever they need a new male lead. He appears to have the same skill as Michael Flatley.
Aren’t we the great little country (Ireland ) Could look at David Geaney all day & night.☘️☘️🏇🐎🏌️♀️❤️
Absolutely brilliant! Talent gets better with each generation.
congratulations David Geney on winning the World Championships Irish Dancer. for 2015. Good luck in Britain got Talent this week 2017. UP The Irish all the way. We love your dancing.
Absolute joy to look at people very close to him their heads are very close to his feet
Holy moly can he even go faster?!
Talented, young and handsome, intelligent, with a university degree in economics and working in a family business. He’s got it all ❤
Un talent exceptionelle,
Now that is music.

A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.

Where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
I would be watching this forever till the day I die
So cool 😃 always wished I could Irish dance! The tap looks so hard but it's so impressive.
Thank you for the performance.
Wow, I couldn't even see his feet move!
Love the gravity aerial delays with a rapid fire Rhythm tapping
Just fantastic!
Fabuleux !
The only things are that his head was down and his arms were a bit everywhere, but his foot work was increadble!!
If you were dancing on a platform that small with risk of falling off, your head would be down, too.
LOVE IT!!
FANTÁSTICO ! .....SEM PALAVRAS ! ..... FIQUEI ESPUPEFACTA ! ......
Красавчик! Супер! Техника на высоте! Очень красивое исполнение!❤❤❤❤❤👍👏👏👏👏👏😍

Whatever the case was, but personally I find keeping the hands down more beautiful
He's a pretty good tap dancer, I would say.
4:08 😶
All I can think of right now is how a marathoner he might be in the bedroom. 😅😎👍
I live in the apartment right beneath him.
God, I hate this guy.

Who's here from the Britain Got Talent Auditions??!

arleen123100 such a shame. Glad you got to meet him.
Britain hehe - some dump off the coast of Europe - great hub for Irish dancing - fool:)
Mumbo would be proud
fuck....
Why is he on a table in the stalls? Why isn’t he on the stage? Fantastic dancer but people at the front probably wished they’d sat further back. 🤭🇮🇪
Так и я смогу
Fast way to burn 1000 calories !!😄😄
My neighbours be like
Parece que lo que los vascos hacen con la txalaparta los irlandeses lo hacen con los pies
I still think Michael flatley holds the record
He's great but Flatley is still LORD of the Dance.
That is not a convenient stage for the audience 🙄 😒 😑 😐
Too bad the heads are blocking our view of his feet.
Man that ain’t nothing but tap dancing. He trying hard too. His best dancing is a walk in the park to greats like savion glover and Gregory Hines. It’s a good attempt though
Irish dance seems so restrictive and simple compared to tap.
KennEH that is cause you have not practiced it. They say that when an Irish dancer makes everything look easy, it is cause they definetely are good dancers. Believe me when I tell you Irish dance is more difficult than tap. I have practiced both dances
Yeah I have practiced both and believe me, Irish is more difficult. 100%
I thought this was tap. I didn't see anything Irish about it except his shoes. I do love Irish dancing, there are some brilliant videos.
