  • Booyah! Did Pro Staffer Phil buy a Southern Missouri 165 acre deer desert? Should you be afraid of buying a deer desert? And can you change your destiny if you do buy a property that is lacking in deer quality and quantify? My response is that absolutely YES YOU CAN change and improve a deer desert property! Join us for today's land management/land improvement video as I cover the topic of buying a deer desert when you buy land. Not all land is created equal, but with today's science, hunting education and knowledge, you do have the power to substantially improve ANY property for deer habitat, wildlife habitat and deer hunting! Let's break down some myths about deer hunting and land management and I will show you some history and experiences between myself and Pro Staffer Phil as we have both taken deer hunting land management to the inth degree by relentlessly improving our properties to vastly improve our deer hunting experiences and our hunting adventures! Oh, and by the way when you improve deer habitat, you also improve all wildlife habitat as many critters utilize the same food and habitat that deer do! Thanks for joining us today, if you enjoyed today's video please hit the like button and consider subscribing to join us for all of our new and future land management projects as we are smack dab in the middle of moving out of Southern Illinois over to Southern Missouri as we will be starting over from scratch once again! You’ve got to be chomping at the bit to do something. All the properties are sold and 2 channels of content to make. Can only grade the driveway so many times. Looks like a road trip to Mr Wheelers farm in KY

If you have cover and food and water, you couldn't keep the deer out of there if you tried!

Clover and rye will forever be what I plant in foodplots in the big woods. Control weeds with clethodim and 2-4db. Both constantly putting nutrients back into the soil

I have absolutely nothing to do with hunting or land management but I always enjoy hearing you talk about it. Don't forget you probably have other people just starting to understand what you're teaching us so if you would please use fewer abbreviations. Thanks so much

Don't know what to say about a deer desert, but I do know it takes several years and copious amounts of hours to figure out how and where any deer you have on your property will work and travel. I'm waiting to see if you'll gradually make habitat improvements based on actual observation or take a quick shotgun approach and start doing anything and everything from day one? I think I know which way you'll do it----but I'll be eagerly waiting to find out!!
