I love that Isbell doesn't overplay, and I love that Adams gives him a little more time to solo than the song originally features. Class all around, and great respect for each other and for the song.
that's exactly right. isbell is a brilliant songwriter, vocalist & guitar player in his own right, but can be very tactful and understated when the vibe calls for it.
That Custom Shop Tele Isbell plays is freaking amazing! Not only does it look beautiful but the tone from that Twisted Tele neck pickup is as equally so! I’ll have me one one day.
Isbell’s solo is subtle but stands apart from the other players at the same time. Adam’s vocals and playing is spot on (as always). Jealous of the audience
Never. Only interested in catchy Swift-/Beiber-esque pop songs for 14 year olds that disgust me. We support these awesome musicians by paying $80 for a cheap seat at their concerts, which I know isn’t happening right now. Isbell is doing live online shows. Ryan is still underground after Mandy tried to bury him for being himself. I’m so happy that she is so absolutely perfect herself. 🙄
yeah Isbell can play. the naturally talented ones can play drunk, sober, upside down, it doesn't matter. look up old DBT clips. first time i ever saw them play was in 2005 in New Orleans. holy hell they rocked back then. Isbell's last three albums are brilliant.
freetickeys I have a lot of music that meant a lot more when I was hooked on opiates. Sometimes it is impossible to listen to some songs or artists at all, too many memories.
Haha. No Doubt!. I guess life and music is more beautiful and touching when you don't know if you'll even be here tomm or not.. it's definitely moving, but yea the hot chicks want a solid man to hit it nowdays..
That's about as perfect of a live performance that you'll ever hear
My two favorite artists of all time playing my favorite Ryan Adams song. My head just fucking exploded.
To the girl who said " don't cry" i did anyway!! This is truly amazing
THESE TWO TOGETHER?! I CAN'T HANDLE THE GENIUS!!!!
Love this, them and that damn Telecaster!
that is some serious talent on one stage.......
That was a really classy guitar solo.
I love that Isbell doesn't overplay, and I love that Adams gives him a little more time to solo than the song originally features. Class all around, and great respect for each other and for the song.
he ends that solo with such tasty runs!
that's exactly right. isbell is a brilliant songwriter, vocalist & guitar player in his own right, but can be very tactful and understated when the vibe calls for it.
damn. spot on.
David Troller
I agree
They are close friends. I’m sure they were happy to honor each other.
Both of my heroes on one stage
Isbell’s short solo perfect
HOLY HELL - Why haven't I seen this? The two best songwriters of my generation on the same stage?
Three best... frickin' Mike viola!
Add Josh Ritter
Enjoyed this so much!
The guitars here.....I love Ryan and Jason so damn good.
that's Mike Viola far right on the guitar. Another incredible musician and singer/songwriter. Pretty incredible all that talent in one place.
That Custom Shop Tele Isbell plays is freaking amazing! Not only does it look beautiful but the tone from that Twisted Tele neck pickup is as equally so! I’ll have me one one day.
I hope you do ❤️
The time has come. Pretty sure isbells signature tele is based off of this one
Unfortunately I've come to the conclusion that that tone genuinely is in the fingers. That guy could play a first act and it would sound like isbell
He is a long way from home...I have lived in Carolina my whole life and I understand this completely
this is beautiful
Two phenom. Isbel, is incredible. Incredible.
What a wonderful hearing 2 great artist as they are. Love them a lot. 👍👍🎸🎼❤❤❤
Holy fuck, how good is this?
In some small way this is all of us.
So damn beautiful
So incredible, I'm lost for words.......
Two greats
1:20 - "Don't Cry"
Easier said than done!
I did.
two of the best
Amazing performance.
need to record it like this. all electric
I am glad Ryan quit smoking. It was killing him. He's a true musical treasure.
I mean, he still smokes weed.
Two survivors
Glorious.
Isbell’s solo is subtle but stands apart from the other players at the same time. Adam’s vocals and playing is spot on (as always). Jealous of the audience
This is a snap shot of reality. Real strength and sorrow all in one.
That was deadly.
sooo00o0o0 damn g00d
Dynamic duo
Two of Today's Master's in Music (when will FM radio find out ?)

@@nickautry7332 yeah cause it was just Mandy who said he was an asshole
Del Barber is similar music as this song. I like this - its very good.
Those fucking back up vocals, man. Those "Sweet Carolina" back up vocals.
Great song by Adams. By the way , Isbell can play. A shit load of talent on that stage

That amp hum is killing me! Otherwise, solid performance.
No doubt....what is that. Ryan's Strats pick up humming through?
It's called feedback
It's those giant amps.
@@Allagi22 no it's called a ground loop and it's from the lights into the amp circuit but thank you for playing
Sad Joe Dart back there on bass
Elon Musk had a sweet guitar solo
Lol ... Jason's always reminded me a bit of Matthew Stafford (Lions QB) but now that you mention it ... definitely also like Elon Musk ...
I’d take Isbell’s talent over Musk’s money for sure.
Thankfully they couldn't be more different as people :-)
I still love Ryan Adam's music but it had more of a special feel when I was hooked on opioids. If you're gonna really live, you gotta clean up.

If you’re gonna live at all, you gotta clean up. Lost my best friend to that shit. Congrats on a clean life!
This doesn't sound like Neil Diamond at all!!
Andrew Kling it is not the same song! Neil Diamonds was Sweet Caroline, not Carolina
This isn't real
I am profoundly disappointed in the news on Ryan and his cowardly powertripping antics coming to light.
