This song was overshadowed with Madonna's version of the same song back then, which was a shame since Donna was in totally different league compared with Madonna. Madonna has never been a good singer and is nothing compared with Donna Summer what it comes to her voice. Too bad they didn't do any dance/club remix of this song, like Madonna's team did. This is SO much better! Summer's voice was incredible. But I have to give few points to Madonna too since in her Confession tour she sang Donna's I feel love.
Her stage presence was always MAGNIFICENT in whatever genre she chose. And OH that voice...an instrument she could play to master every genre that she chose!
It is surprising to me how good Donna is singing this very difficult song. Very good range and great clarity. My only criticism is she lacks the emotion that Karen Carpenter brought to the song. Are all the great singers dead? RIP Donna and Karen.
