Average Blade Of Despair Fans saying _”The Highest Phy Atk provides the most dmg”_ 🤬 VS Average Malefic Roar Enjoyers *_”passive dmg that scales as the game progresses with enemies defense”_* 😏 In my opinion, the safest route for most phy heroes is to go for the *_Hunter Strike/Heptaseas/Fury Hammer + Malefic Roar_* combo, in most average games when u get a good snowball(term for dominating the enemies early game), u’d stomp ur enemies and have a 1-3 difference in level, then ur dmg with Hunter/Hepta is pretty good when enemies defense are still lower and also need to take into account of which type of hero can utilize the minor pen items effectively. Clint for example, he can INSTANTLY trigger Hunter Strike’s passive with his 1st skill alone, making its utility really great for him early game to escape or chase the enemy down. As for Fury Hammer + Malefic Roar (Malfury combo), for someone like Yu Zhong where his base dmg is insane that also have hp base dmg in his passive, making this item combo the cheapest route to get the most dmg possible. Then you also have the most recent hero Arlott who has insane base dmg but his skill scaling is below 100% so going for Blade Of Despair is an even no go, only pen items can really make his spear hurt (The true late game item is Blade Of Despair as its the most expensive phy item in the game).
Yeah, pretty much! That's almost the default build for non-basic attacking Physical damage heroes. Clint is somewhat different since Endless Battle works so good on him that it trumps almost every other item at any point of the game. But Fury Hammer, Endless into Malefic is pretty much default for him in this Meta. Malfury is such a disgusting combo 🤣
as a exp laner (using physical heroes), i think we should instead buy 2 daggers rather than building fury hammer in the early game so that we can adapt to the enemy builds if were going to build hunter strike first or malefic roar. if enemy build tank items, go for malefic, if not then go for hunter strike
@@RubyRubyRubyGaming also, may I ask something? You talked about the flat debuff pen on Saber, but how about percentage flat pen on Dyrroth? Is it better to buy Malefic Roar as a third item because I believe the second item has to be fury hammer no matter what. Or not buy it at all, because the percentage debuff on Dyrroth is too big, that it interrupts the 2nd pen passive from Malefic Roar?
Flat pen can stack but Percentage pen cannot. Dyroth's passive is percentage pen which would make Malefic Roar a bad item for him, better stick to flat pen when building him.
Thanks to you i strated building Devine Glaive and Malefic Roar as 2nd items and the dmg increase in mid game is insane! Won 8 games in a row without breaking a sweat
I've already known about this for a long time but never got an in depth analysis of the DMG comparison. Another thing to consider is your hero, for example Alpha can now deal so much true damage even with basic attacks, and with his main damage as true damage, malefic roar can just be a waste since building BoD is way stronger for his true damage passive
How much defense should the enemy have before I buy melific now after the nerf? I usually check enemy attributes mid game to see their defense, but rn idk when to buy melific. How much defense should they have minimum to get value out of it?
One note is that against tanks with high physical def heroes, if they also have alot of extra HP (from items and emblems) sea halberd might be better with the new passive. For example on Clint it's usually better to get sea halberd when you're playing against tanks heroes.

Hey bro, fellow singaporean here, great job on the video, cleared my doubts on skill based heroes like pacquito, bane, alpha and dyroth on whether to build despair blade vs malefic roar, because i always assumed that if the hero skills scales heavily with the amount of physical damage would be better to stack physical damage vs amour penetration.
Ello! Yeah, Penetration and Armor interactions is not the most intuitive concept since it happens more in the background than straight-up scaling which MLBB presents it to you right in your face.
I love this series so much. Very informative! As a mage user I've always wondered which is best to buy first glowing wand vs genius wand, and if I can only buy one which will be better from the two? For hero like aamon, gusion, chang'e, kimmy etc. 💖

This is very informative!! Although it will change since they'll be doing adjustments with flat PEN and % PEN and defence so this might not be as accurate as it will be in thr future but this is also really helpful!!
Sorry that I have to give you this answer, but it "depends on the enemy target's Physical Defense". Usually tho, your build path should be: Heptaseas > Fury Hammer > Malefic > Whether you want to complete Hammer into HS is up to you.
Thanks for sharing the info, this video is great for players who love to deal burst damage to enemies. I personally build items mostly depend on enemy team. If they have many Physical skill damage dealers, I build item to reduce their Physical Damage if I cannot win my lane. In stead, if I can win my lane, I'll buy other items instead. If enemy team has more than 1 hero with 1shot combo, I'd buy more defend item to protect my life instead of buying damage items because I'll be a feeder in my team even I have highest damage because the enemy can 1 shot me easily. In this case, I'd buy a few items to counter their 1 shot combo to survive, so I can counter them after they used up their 1 shot combo.
Yeah, I actually use Malefic Roar as the only damage item on alot of Fighters I play, especially for the late game as it provides the most overall damage out of the other items. The other 4 items are all Defensive items. 😁
In your divine/genius video you mentioned that we shouldn't have both since they have conflicting passives. Is that the same for these? Both hepta and hunter strike have flat reduction and malefic has percentage; does that mean we should only have one or the other? If not, how is that different from the divine and genius?
There's a big difference from Genius v Glaive, and Fury Hammer/Hunter Strike/Blade of Heptaseas v Malefic. Genius Wand's effect is Magic Defense Reduction, which is VERY different from Flat Penetration. Defense Reduction actually reduces enemy's defense, while penetration simple just ignores it without reduce the enemy Defense. This is why Flat PEN can be combined with % PEN. To answer your question simply, you can combine Fury Hammer/Hunter Strike/Blade of Heptaseas with Malefic Roar without any worries about diminishing returns.
Love your video! Your last video actually help me a lot with choosing my build path as a mage (between DG and GWand). I also have one question (not really related to the video). What is the worst/least important physical and magic items ever? For me personally, I feel like Endless Battle kinda sucks. It used to be really good but now I feel like skipping on it doesn’t hurt my damage as much. Though, I would love to see your opinion on such item (Endless Batlle and Calamity)
Thanks for the love bro! 💛 Endless Battle can be considered a niche item somewhat, since it can only be used optimally when you Hero has spammable skills. But as you can see from the Clint example in the video, when it does work, it's a F-ing good item. Calamity Repear is somewhat similar too, but requires the same type of hero to utilize it to the maximum. I haven't done ANY analysis on Calamity, so I'm just speaking out from experience here, so do take that part with a pinch of salt!
Agree, endless battle suits for hero with spammable skill. Clint and Ruby i gues haha. As for calamity, i use this for selena and kagura sometimes, to enhance the damage givent by skill 1. Btw there is plan to delete calamity and move its attributes to new item. They will make a copy of endless battle, but for magic.

I tried sea halberd on heroes that use the trinity build. It gets outshined by other items so easily. I can't find a use case that would make you go for it because of the damage (and not just for the anti heal)
As a roamer main, often using tanks, I already knew this since dmg builds are fun; but it's really nice to see the numbers, especially from Ruby! Lately I've been using dmg build Franco, and I made the build myself. My build progression: Boots Dagger Fury Hammer Azure Blade Rapid Boots Hunter Strike Malefic Roar Fury Hammer Blade of Heptaseas Ogre Tomahawk Endless Battle Blade of Dedpair Yh that's pretty much it. Edit: checked my build and found that the order in my comment was wrong lol It's fixed now Edit 2: the heart went away bc of edit😭😭
my build for Franco is rapid boots, blade of heptaseas, blade of despair, immortality, any other defense item, and malefic roar. Idk if this is good but I've tried it in ranked games in mythic glory and I've done very nicely. But I do want to know if your build would improve it

@@RubyRubyRubyGaming i calculated the pen difference b/w new and old malefic today at 40, 80 and 120 phy def. Turns out the new malefic is not that dead of an early game item even after this nerf. At 40 def: 10 pen (new) vs 15 pen (old) At 80 def: 24 pen (new) vs 31 pen (old) At 120 def: 42 pen (new) vs 49 pen (old) At lv 7/8, when we finish MR, enemies tend to have 40 base phy def, and usually they get steel legplates, so they have ~80 def, at which point MR still gives the max pen out of any item, twice that of Fury Hammer.
1.Can you tell me is it worth it to buy melefic roar or any linear penetration iteam for Dyroth ?? 2.And for the last chart of client(for lvl 15) do you consider client having endless battle ??
I haven't done any research for Dyroth yet, so I'm really not too sure about Malefic on him to be honest. I might do a video or post about him if I have the time to look into him. Yes, the last chart on Late Game Clint has Blade of Heptaseas + Endless Battle considered, including their passive damage.
Dyrotth has a single target debuff on physical Def(it's 50% or 75% Def reduction based on his passive), so definitely linear penetration works better for him almost the whole game(but what's need to remember is the debuff only work for single target, if there are multiple enemies with high Def, malefic roar still better as his single attack item)
@@RubyRubyRubyGaming i think flat penetration would be better with dyrroth because dyrroth already reduces the enemy def by 75%-50% but I usually build MR after getting BOH and HS
*Dyrroth:* Malefic roar is a STUPID ITEM on Dyrroth because of his 2nd skill, more especially when abyss-enhanced thru his passive. 50% phy def reduction by default, 75% phy def reduction when abyss-enhanced. You just need heptaseas and hunter strike on him, along with the assassin emblem. *Clint:* Buy endless battle on Clint for loaded stats and true damage.
hello sir... layla user here, so what do you think about her item build? should i buy malefic roar as my 2nd item too? which item build do you recommend for layla sir? thanks for the reply...
I haven't tested this, but I have seen damage increases with Penetration against Jungle Creeps, including Lord and Turtle. As for attack speed reliant MMs, I haven't tested that, but I'd imagine you'd still want to prioritize their core Attack Speed items first (DHS, Scythe, Golden Staff).
I think a series would be great, it's easier to digest if it's 1-2 item per video as oppose to a long one. And then just clip them altogether in one long video when the series is done.
So what’s your recommended build For Clint? Boots Blade of hepta Endless battle Berserk fury or hunters strike Malefic roar and blade of despair place depending on physical defense of enemies? Thank you for the video that kind of helped me understand items a little more keep it up
I'd go Fury Hammer, Endless Battle, Malefic, against a tanky enemy lineup. Fury Hammer, Endless Battle, complete Blade of Heptaseas, then Malefic against less tanky lineups
How about heroes that build atk effect items such as claude, moskov, and karrie? Is it better to build malefic roar as 2nd or 3rd item or to finish the trinity build first?
If the enemy has built steel Legplates is it viable to build Fury Hammer first then build Malefic Roar? Would it be effective to build another Fury Hammer after building Hunter Strike/Heptaseas Can the same mindset be applied to Magic Items? Or is it slightly different due to Genius Wand and Divine Glaive not really Synergizing with each other?
I would say it differs from hero to hero, since heroes have different scaling and abilities. Generally though, it's still viable to go for Hunter Strike/Blade of Heptaseas in the early game even though the enemy has Steel Legplates, since the Damage difference is still not that big just yet. However, approaching mid-late game, you should prio Malefic is you see enemies building into Dominance Ice etc, as you can probably notice from the video how much the damage gap is between the items. Building Fury Hammer into a completed Hunter Strike/Heptaseas can be quite effective, especially when enemies decide to build 0 Defense items. Generally though, Malefic is often the premier option. I can't say for sure regarding combining Genius and Glaive, since I'm lacking on real research results. All I can say now is that although there is indeed a conflict and diminishing returns for Glaive when using them together, it seems like they're still pretty good together.

@@RubyRubyRubyGaming I mean there's a part where you wanted to compare BoD with MR. But you bought 2 Legions Sword instead of BoD for the price. I don't remember if you made a test for BoD after haha, too lazy to replay.

What about for attack speed type heroes like sun, I don’t think he even needs malefic roar due to his passive, maybe late game if enemy buys several defensive items.
Yeah, we can't extrapolate the results across all heroes. Some heroes may be better off prioritizing their core items, and some may not need Malefic's Penetration if they already have Defense reducing effects in-built

Solid strat if you're still weighing up options
I'm gonna steal this strat

I've already known about this for a long time but never got an in depth analysis of the DMG comparison. I know that Malefic Roar was better to buy than BOD thanks to some toying in practice but this made me see more than just bod and malefic roar.
So thank you ruby for the video and explanation and also for uploading. Been waiting for a video in a long time, must take long to edit and research.

@RubyRubyRuby Just letting you know, your voiceover is easy to understand even with the subtitles turned off. Keep up the good work 💪💪
After the global def stat buff, BOD kinda become a niche item. Maybe BOD needs some buff like what they did to Blood wings. 🤔

new malefic roar and divine glaive analysis when?
I have always wonder which are the core items for physical damage assasins, and recently i watched a video where they ranked all phy pen items, where malefic roar was first and hunter strike third (fury hammer second)
That, and now this video, allowed me to pinpoint that first building fury hammer, then malefic roar, then finising hunter strike is usually the way i achieve max damage the fastest in the early-mid game
Your videos are just so... Ugh so so gud i love you mwah
Glad that it gave you more clarity in your builds! Love you too 💛

Another thing to consider is your hero, for example Alpha can now deal so much true damage even with basic attacks, and with his main damage as true damage, malefic roar can just be a waste since building BoD is way stronger for his true damage passive
Yeah, hero abilities are a big consideration
How much defense should the enemy have before I buy melific now after the nerf?
I usually check enemy attributes mid game to see their defense, but rn idk when to buy melific. How much defense should they have minimum to get value out of it?
Check out the new video I made on this 😁
One note is that against tanks with high physical def heroes, if they also have alot of extra HP (from items and emblems) sea halberd might be better with the new passive.
For example on Clint it's usually better to get sea halberd when you're playing against tanks heroes.
I haven't tested this, so I'll refrain from making any conclusions on this 😄

No worries bro! Now you can implement it in your games 😄
For alpha better go for high physical dmg such as bod cus he prio his passive which deals true dmg
Ello! Yeah, Penetration and Armor interactions is not the most intuitive concept since it happens more in the background than straight-up scaling which MLBB presents it to you right in your face.
Great content! Very detailed and informative especially for high rank players or those aiming to be one keep it up

So, which build is more effective for natalia
Hepta,hs, then malefic
Or
Hepta,malefic then hs ?
Sorry that I have to give you this answer, but it "depends on the enemy target's Physical Defense". Usually tho, your build path should be: Heptaseas > Fury Hammer > Malefic > Whether you want to complete Hammer into HS is up to you.
Then endless and BOD as last items
continue the content brother, gonna pray you'll succeed
Appreciate it bro 💛
Paquito build: Hunter strike, malefic, bloodlust, bod. Then def item like immo, brute force or athena depends on the enemy line up.
I see, thank you very much!
Endless Battle can be considered a niche item somewhat, since it can only be used optimally when you Hero has spammable skills.
Youare the only youtube i subscribed to coz you are helpful❤ keep the good work

@@RubyRubyRubyGaming i calculated the pen difference b/w new and old malefic today at 40, 80 and 120 phy def. Turns out the new malefic is not that dead of an early game item even after this nerf.
At 40 def: 10 pen (new) vs 15 pen (old)
At 80 def: 24 pen (new) vs 31 pen (old)
At 120 def: 42 pen (new) vs 49 pen (old)
At lv 7/8, when we finish MR, enemies tend to have 40 base phy def, and usually they get steel legplates, so they have ~80 def, at which point MR still gives the max pen out of any item, twice that of Fury Hammer.

Does minion have defensive stats? As most MMs i imagine you'd want to still prioritize the attack spped/crit item first right?
I haven't tested this, but I have seen damage increases with Penetration against Jungle Creeps, including Lord and Turtle. As for attack speed reliant MMs, I haven't tested that, but I'd imagine you'd still want to prioritize their core Attack Speed items first (DHS, Scythe, Golden Staff).
Could you please do a every attack Item video like ur defense item it was a very useful and great source of info for players like me.
I'll try to work on that project! Thanks for letting me know though 😄

So what’s your recommended build For Clint?
Boots
Blade of hepta
Endless battle
Berserk fury or hunters strike
Malefic roar and blade of despair place depending on physical defense of enemies?
Thank you for the video that kind of helped me understand items a little more keep it up
I'd go Fury Hammer, Endless Battle, Malefic, against a tanky enemy lineup. Fury Hammer, Endless Battle, complete Blade of Heptaseas, then Malefic against less tanky lineups
How about heroes that build atk effect items such as claude, moskov, and karrie? Is it better to build malefic roar as 2nd or 3rd item or to finish the trinity build first?
I haven't done the testing on this, but it's probably good to at least finish 2 core items first before considering Malefic for those MMs.
If the enemy has built steel Legplates is it viable to build Fury Hammer first then build Malefic Roar?
Would it be effective to build another Fury Hammer after building Hunter Strike/Heptaseas
Can the same mindset be applied to Magic Items?
@@RubyRubyRubyGaming Gotcha...

please do a video on true damage items like endless battle, many haya user skips this item because it doesn't seem to do much for them
So... It's better to go with malefic if enemy got phy defense, and the... bod/hunterstrike if enemy got the less phy defense?
In summary, yeah. But as you can see in the data, Mid-Late Malefic can sometimes just outright beat those other items even at Base Physical Defense

Please make detailed analysis on Lesley with 3 BOD is is any better in terms of real game or what can be better alternative
I'm no expert on Lesley as I don't play her enough, or have done any research into her. But 3 BODespair should maximize her True DMG passive if I'm not wrong.
Why is this channel so inderrated? Your vids are so good
