    My two cents: Almost all of these are beat by a Chums surfshorts wallet. They're like the Tardis, small on the outside and huge on the inside. They have a zippered ID window with a compartment divider, on the opposite side there is another zippered compartment (with no divider), an additional exterior pocket for things like pens with a split-ring on a strap sewn into the pocket for attaching it to a carabiner or keychain. The only downside is its a soft nylon style pouch. I believe it's also water resistant. Costs a whopping 12 bucks.

      I've been toying with getting one!!! I see a lot of reviews about the keyring coming unseen, though. Thoughts?

    • @earlgrayman982
      @earlgrayman982 6 месяцев назад

      The split-ring is attached to a strip of fabric thats inside the back exterior pocket. Yes, it does fall into the pocket it if it's not on a keychain. It seems like a feature not a flaw. Tilt the wallet, the key reveals itself. Thats not an issue for me but I can see some people prefer a split-ring on an outside tab if they want their keys visible all the time. Hasn't been a problem for me. Most of the time I keep the wallet clipped to the keyfinder strip of my slingbag. Often its a backup for my olde leather bifold, which is on my person. I'm really using the Chums wallet as a minimal EDC kit that I can transfer from bag to bag and always have a few bucks, extra cards and a SAK handy. It'd be my main wallet if I weren't sentimental about the old leather one. @@AstroxZombie

      @earlgrayman982 My bad! Autocorrect got me! I meant "unsewn", the tab seems to be the most common point of failure per reviews.

      I haven't had it fail yet but your mileage might vary. I think if I were worried about it I'd just ask the wife to put an extra stitch in to ameliorate the issue.@@AstroxZombie

    I have been using the One Tigris as a wallet for a good 4 years as a wallet. I liked it do much that I bought a second for use as an EDC pouch. It holds an amazing amount of kit without being larger than the front pocket wallets I have used all my life. Incredibly durable and well made. A real bargain.

      Glad it's working out well for you so far! It does seem very well made and reasonably priced for what you get! Nice to be able to have some extra space.

    I’ve had the EDC Cassette wallet by Onetigris for a little over 3 yrs, it’s been great, will be replacing it with another of the same when needed

    Thanks for sharing this. I'm currently looking for a compact EDC pouch for use as a wallet and also fit my EDC gear. Unfortunately my EDC flashlight of choice is the Emisar D4V2, which is just too big to fit in these smaller pouches. I end up carrying it separately together with my current favorite, the Arc Company Bolder wallet. Although the Gatura EDC pouch is on my wish list.
    That Maxpedition Barnacle looks interesting. What flashlight do you have in it?

      Hopeing to review some slightly larger edc pouches in another video soon! That was the armytek prime c1 in the barnacle! Its one of my most carried lights and sometimes you can find it for about $30 when Armytek has sales!

    I wonder why there are almost no pouches in this size that you could fit on to a belt. The maxpedition barnacle is the only one that can do this whith some tricks.

    • @swat37
      @swat37 Год назад

      I'm sure you could use one of those phone belt pouches either as an EDC pouch itself or as a holder for your EDC pouch.

      @@swat37 it took me several weeks of research but i found a store that had a maxpedition anemone in stock and was shipping to germany. But now i have it and use it as daylie edc pouch since then. Perfekt size and Setup for me.

    Have you used a small carabiner to click any of these to your belt loops, via the small loops on some of these pouches?

  • @Tysto

    I'm baffled that hardly any of these have a way to attach them to a belt. I'm putting things in a pouch because I don't have room in my pockets, so I'm certainly not going to be able to but the pouch in my pocket.

      Solo pon 2 mosquetones, una cadena o Paracord a la de one tigris. Y la colocas en el bolsillo del pantalón y ya te evitas riesgos

    Looks like a glorified change purse, just trying to wrap my head around these micro "EDC" pouches and 1" flashlights... 😂To each his own but just don't seem comfortable or practical for any kind of rapid deployment... I guess if you want something to put chapstick, nail clippers and a tiny useless knife in they are cool...? 🤣You can make a "cool" lanyard! and get super cool patches!😆
