Peace witness at Farnborough Air Show

Quakers joined Campaign Against Arms Trade, Kernow Palestinian Solidarity and other groups at the Farnborough Airshow last month to highlight the involvement of many arms companies in the event. Quakers believe in questioning the normalisation of militarism, seeing armed conflict as a failure to establish peace. As one of the Quaker Founders, George Fox, wrote in 1650: early friends were 'called to live in the virtue of that life and power that took away the occasion of all wars'.
