He sang this Ukrainian folk song during his concert in Kiev, Ukraine 2020. I love how the audience sings along to this beautiful song.
He just learned the lyrics for it the day before. Ukrainian is also a beautiful language. He dedicated the song not only to his Ukrainian Dears but also to his mother in the audience. It's always very moving to see his mother crying here. I think it was his last concert before he had to postpone his tour because of the pandemic.

Dimash always has utmost respect for the host country, so if there is a popular folk song, he usually tries to learn it and incorporate it into his concert to show respect. As you could see, as soon as he announced the song, everyone in the audience cheered. It was so beautifully sung, with such tenderness and such emotion. Dimash's voice touches your heart and soul. He often get his audience to sing with him, and especially for a song like this, that is a folk song from there, everyone was only too happy to sing along. My mother past away last year, and singing about mothers always gets me emotional. Love and respect for Dimash.

His mother is from Ukraine. Very emotional wgen he got the audience to sing! This whole concert you should watch its all brilliant and very moving. Highlight for me was War and Peace, incredibly emotional. He likes to sing songs from the country he performs in. Great example recently at his Armenian concert in Yerevan, he learned Ill Die for the Wind of the Mountains, Armenian song connected with the near genocide of that nation. Dimash's mother, Sveta, is not Ukrainian. She is 100% Kazakh. Recently, there was even an interview in which she talked about the life and habits of her family, parents and grandparents. She was definitely born in Kazakhstan. People add different theories because of on her name. She also talked about it in the interview, but we knew from the beginning why her name was like that. We only learned the details in the interview

The Ukrainian Dears gave him a traditional Ukrainian shirt and Dimash wore it to everyone's amazement and delight at the opening of this concert. (Whole concert on Dimash's channel)
Dimash learned this Ukrainian folk song overnight for his Dears and he also sings to his mama… so touching. His mother is in the audience. She is herself a well-known and respected singer in Kazakhstan. She almost always sits in the audience at Dimash's concerts. Regarding this performance, she said in an interview that she doesn't normally cry easily, but this song and the love of her son touched her very much.
Dimash also loves it when his Dears sing with him and everyone in Ukraine knows this song.
ARNAU - that means 'Dedication' because Dimash dedicated this tour to his Dears. Unfortunately it will be interrupted for over 2 years. His first concert after the pandemic was in 2022 in Dubai. It was not part of the Arnau tour. Then Dimash canceled the Arnau concert in Belarus because Belarus supports Russia in the war against Ukraine. I respect Dimash's attitude very much.
The next concerts of his Arnau tour took place in spring 2022 in Düsseldorf/ Germany and in Prague / Czech Republic... I was there... unforgettable!!!
