Pra mim o Dimash é único o melhor cantor do mundo sua voz ultrapassa as fronteiras une as nações não importa o idioma ele consegue tocar o coração de todos ❤❤🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
My sentiments exactly, Doris. Looking at those faces breaks my heart. Andrew says he is in a relatively safe part of the country away from most of the madness but is not entirely safe from a potential rocket attack. Imagine having to live with that fear.
God bless Andrew and all of Ukraine so that they may return to their home and live in peace! Why can’t leaders stick to their own country and not try to steal another??? I thought we were past all that!
Stéphane (from France )❤🙏

Thank you for a sincere reaction! This song is beautiful, as was the performance. Dimash's voice sounds so tender. Dimash has said, that he loves to sing songs about mother the most. But he also feels it's hard because they make him so emotional. "He is not (only) a great singer, he's a great man". Well said, I agree! Hugs:)
Thanks for your reaction! This was very emotional performance and today sounds even more emotional. Dimash speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently and a little bit of English. He sings in 15 different languages, and he's very special man. He and his pianist prepared this song the night before the show to surprise the Ukrainian audience. Wish you peace 🕊🙏🏼
Esse Concerto em Kiev foi incrível ! Música linda Ucraniana! Pianista maravilhoso! Dimash simplesmente sublime e apaixonante! Público incrível! Glória à Ucrânia! 👏🏻👏👏🏿👏🏼👏🏽👏🏽♥️♥️🎶🎶🇧🇷🇧🇷
A very emotional song for me, as a mother, especially at a time when the fear for my child covers every day, I hope that this horror in Ukraine will end soon!

CA, USA Why does he sing beautifully? He makes me cry, this songs is already sad. Dimash sings with passion, real passion, unbelievable and mind blowing. A great singer and brilliant. Like your reaction, ty for sharing.🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗💥💥💥
This remains one of his more beautiful live performances. Poignant because of the strife there now, but beautiful because of the warmth the Ukrainian people showed to Dimash, especially that tremendous applause when he'd finished. Thank you, Andrew. May you and your loved ones stay safe. Best wishes from South Africa.

I think it’s 15 languages he can sing in and at each concert he will sing each song in different language. We Dears are learning the words as he asks us to join in singing with him . He always tries to get pronunciation right. It was lovely to hear the audience singing too and the smile on your face thank you for your reaction.
Yes, the audience knows the song, as this was performed in Kiev right before Covid. To me it is so emotional considering what is happening in Ukraine now; where are all these people? Have they all lost a son, a father, a mother, their house, their livelihood? What a cruel man is Putin.
Bonjour Andrew !

Dimash performed this Ukrainian song in Kyiv on March 11, 2020. The Ukrainian poet Mykola Singaivsky (1936 - 2013) who wrote the lyrics to this song was 5 years old when WWII started. Kyiv fell and his hometown was overrun, forcing him and his mother Urivana to flee Ukraine. They returned after the war to a devastated landscape. Marigolds were the first flowers to be planted by his mother and the other surviving villagers and soon covered up some of the ravages of war. As an adult in a foreign country, he remembers the marigolds his mother planted. It is a song of loss and war but also of resilience and love. It is a song for all the mothers and children who had to flee their homeland and the flowers they planted, then and now.
