that reaction to higgs was everything I was hoping for & then some. that song shakes you to your core
Higgs is able to give me a literal out of body experience, I mean it’s simply life changing, I didn’t realize someone could put that much emotion out with just their voice. And the smooth and organic guitar throughout the background sounds like he pulled it out of his heart (not trying to sound cheesy)
The first time I listened to this album, I was disappointed after waiting 4 years to hear new content. And when Blonde came out immediately after, I overlooked this album because it was harder to go through because of the lack of structure and experimentation. But one day I laid down, closed my eyes, and listened through the album and realized I had overlooked a masterpiece. The chilling vocals seem to float through this out-of-body, unworldly ambience that takes you through a distorted and experimental universe that is completely engulfing. To anyone who skipped through songs or didn't take the time to sit down, relax, and listen to this album as a whole, I strongly encourage you to.

that's exactly right. No pausing. No skipping. No interruptions. Just close your eyes and listen. Probably the most unique experience I've ever had listening to an album. I'ts so pure in it's emotion and atmosphere. Any suggestions for a similar experience with other albums?

Endless is beautiful. I get your impressions of it being all over the place and rough, because I felt the same way on my my first listen. I even put it aside for maybe a year before I got back to it and gave it a couple more listens. Now it's on the same level as Blonde for me, sometimes even slightly better. It contains some of Franks best songs to date imo. Rushes into Rushes to into Higgs is maybe my favourite piece of music. So give it a couple more listens, you'll love it!

the album definitely doesn't feel like it's all over the place if you're not stopping in betwen, each track runs into eachother and feels really complete
Please do give this a couple more listens. Like you mentioned, music isn't supposed to be paused and interrupted, don't get me wrong, I LOVE your channel and witnessing your raw emotion to things that have brought me emotion are sooo beautiful, but this album is sooo great when you give it it's full play through. It also holds a special place in my heart because of the whole drawn out three weeks beforehand of weird streams with guitar loops and ambient music and frank chopping wood with a table saw while KTT was going crazy trying to reverse engineer the location of the warehouse hahaha
I didn’t appreciate it as much while it was happening because we were so starved for new frank music, but that month was such a fun thing to experience and I’m sad that so few people know about endless and even fewer have any clue about the streams :’)

This is a front to back full listen in one sitting album, no interruptions. I do understand that its completely different when you're making a video, but this album shines when you can absorb all the tracks and transitions together. After a couple listens you start to memorize the tracks and transitions and it feels so perfect everytime.
I have a bitter sweet memory with this album. A girl and I spent the night and we both listened to this album (her first time hearing it) and we were just under each other’s arms. Love the memory, but painful of thinking what could’ve been.

I first listened to this project while on MDMA and its safe to say that it was probably the most connected i have ever felt to a piece of music, it almost felt like the music was interlinked with my emotions, I couldn’t hold back tears due to how it made me feel. The most beautiful music i have ever heard
i know this video and comment is old but i wanted to share a similar experience.
i took 5 Gs of mushrooms and listened to the entire album from beginning to end while peaking and it was the most emotional trip i’ve ever had. i experienced ego death to Frank’s beautiful voice. i swear i thought i was dead and in heaven. Such a memorable trip.

I almost never listen to single tracks from this album. Occasionally I’ll listen to at your best or slide on me, but this album is on basically every time I have a long car ride or travel of any kind. Try listening al the way thru a couple times since it’s short and this album will definitely grow on you.
I don't get why I never heard endless? I never knew about it. I knew nostalgia orange and blonde but I must've been asleep when endless was releaded. I don't understand why I've never heard of these tracks before. 🤯

I'd say Endless is an album that deserves some patience and digesting. Upon my fifth or sixth time through, it becomes that much more incredible. It's an endless stream of music -- moments of someone's life in a loop of amazing sonics :)

Personally this album is on the same level as Blonde and Channel Orange. It took some time but this album is so beautiful and one of the most overlooked albums of the decade. Rushes is my absolute favorite Frank Ocean song for its pure beauty and those terrific melodies.
Also if you do Nostalgia Ultra, good luck getting American Wedding not blocked on RUclips lol.

I felt the same as u on first listen, endless felt all over the place and I just regarded it as a release to get out of def jam but trust me, when i came back to it later on in my life it hit home so hard the production is experimental but eventually became such an incredible journey and is what I feel franks most well produced album and his second best overall, a few steps below blond and a few over channel orange. Nostalgia ultra will be much easier to enjoy initially, but the sonic depth and beauty will be worth revisiting time and time again.

Wither is probably my favorite Frank song the garden imagery is amazing comparing himself to a flower “hope they see me wither (with her).
i'm gonna have to completely go ahead and disagree with you saying it's not as expertly crafted as channel orange or blonde. the version youre listening to here is technically the second version of Endless, which has changes ranging from tracklisting and mixing. if you listen to the original Endless, you see that this second version is just exactly what Frank wanted it to sound like and i personally feel that it is beautiful as its own thing, just like how CO and Blonde are both beautiful on their own. his 3 projects shouldn't necessarily be compared with each other, as they all have their own sound and feel. Endless is absolutely gorgeous and in many ways i find myself returning to listen to Endless than listen to Blonde
