These people are so athletic and graceful that they look good even when they mess up.

If your feet are out of bounds, one leg is around a foot away from the other (from a big step) or your feet don't hit the ground first, it's a deduction

Going to train with the Landis after Rio, as replacement of Aimee Boorman, completely shifted Simone Biles's profile. They've put her on a increasing (and unecessary) trend of difficulty skills and routines, at the cost of the secure progression, cleanliness and stability, that were her marks under Boorman. Tokyo was just the result of the Landis' reckless work, starting in 2018.

Pretty sure Simone was the one who wanted to train more difficult skills at the cost of consistency because she felt she had nothing left to prove after Rio (except for winning the Olympic gold on balance beam which she was hungry for after Rio based on interviews).
And now she has the most difficulty skills on beam and floor and the TWO most difficult skills on vault named after her so I think she’s happy with her legacy. Now in this quad we’ve seen her downgrade a little bit and that’s because she’s hungry for winning again. She obviously can manage her own training better than us on the internet
