Everyone who came together to storyboard, animate, and compose the music for this deserves a round of applause. One of the most haunting ending credits I've seen for an anime in awhile. "Don't die, Aki. Because I want you to cry for me when I die."
i cant lie this actually made me feel like her death was sorrowful. bc in the manga himenos only there for a few fast paced arcs & when she dies im pretty sure most of us were like "aww, well moving on" but the anime scene and this ed really makes you feel things. i don’t even want to imagine how mappa is gonna showcase the bigger deaths which had an impact on every fan for sure. i'd probably be bawling for weeks, just the thought is making me shiver

This is the first anime I've seen since Trinity Seven where almost every ending is entirely different. However this one has one per episode which is very unique and most likely costly in production. The manga probably sold extremely well.
All the endings have been great, but man, this one is special! Such a powerful song and visuals combination. Aimer's voice fits so well with the style and flow of the ending
Viscera, blood, and cigarette smoke are curves like Art Nouveau. It's like an inescapable fate. The music and visuals were in perfect sync. Definitely a great ending. It's amazing that this art is only for one time.
Aimer's songs never disappoint, their work on Fate series as well as this ending is so good. Seeing Himeno just disappering and the cigarette at the end going out indicating Himeno's death hit hard. The transitions are awesome as well.
I believe this ending to be a visual representation of the void that body parts sacrificed to the ghost devil go to. Himeno’s eye is here, and of course now the rest of her is too.
This Ed felt like a farewell for Himeno. Can't believe she's gone. 1 sec into the ending and I recognized Aimer voice. She's amazing. Edit: 3k+ likes.. wtf Thanks 😅

圧倒的劇場版エンディング感
俺は原作勢だけど、漫画では姫野の登場から殉職まであまりにも早く「そういう作品なのか」と読者に思わせるためのスケープゴート的役割を担ったキャラなのかなと思っていた(ああいうテンポ感で読者を置き去りにしていくのもこの漫画の素晴らしいところだと思う)。それがアニメ化によって人物像がよりクリアになったことで、姫野の死がより実在的に感じられ、極めつけにこのEDを見せられてしまったことで涙が出てしまった。こんなのズルいよ〜
Aimerさんのイメージ変わったって人多いけど、
自分的にはこれぞまさにAimerって感じなんだよな

最初にこのEDだけを見てAimerさんの曲もチェンソーマンに合わないと勝手に思ってたけど本編見てから印象が逆転した。
儚さ、切なさ、絶望感の強い9話の雰囲気・世界観に絶妙にマッチしてて映像も単調に見えて作画の線の描きこみが細かく、しかもずっと絵が動いていて作画枚数が多いのにこの映像を平岡さんという方がほぼ一人で作っているのは凄いという言葉しか出ない。この少ない色数でこれほどの表現ができるのには驚かされる。

I really like this ED bc the animation uses the original style from the manga
Aimer さんの Deep down 9話のEDとしては最高だね。まるで映画をみたような感動。チェンソーマン は 9話で今期のアニメの中で完全に覇権とったと思った。映像・音楽・テンポ・演出 すべてが満点。監督天才だと思うよ。2期もこの監督でいってほしいわ。MAPPA作品で一番好きな作品になった。
I believe this ending to be a visual representation of the void that body parts sacrificed to the ghost devil go to. Himeno’s eye is here, and of course now the rest of her is too.
