- I have loved everything about this pen except the stub-like broad nib, so with the help of nibs.com and a friend for buying a pen from me so I was able to afford the nib, I transformed my pen into something I love even more.

I find there is always a sense of nervousness right before putting a new nib to paper, because a little part of you dreads that it is going to be scratchy or too thick or too thin (at least I dread that lol), but then when it writes exactly how you want it... it's the best feeling and such a sense of happy relief.
Yes that’s how I feel too! It’s so scary. And then a big sigh of relief and then excitement when it really is exactly how I wanted it!
There is so much subjectivity in writing and varity of nibs leaves many in a quandry. Have three Viscontis and have been pleased with their nibs, but then again a fountin pen is a medium of transmission of thought of mine to a paper. I value implenation of the pen's design.
Mont Blanc allows you to have a nib swap within so many days of purchase in case you didn’t like the line width you bought. But they hold the pen at the boutique till the new nib arrives. Free service

There is such a drastic difference between the nib sizes! I’m so glad you got a nib you love and I hope you’ll enjoy getting a custom grind so you can change it up. 🧡🖋

What an absolutely beautiful pen and ink pairing! The difference between those two nib sizes was shocking.
Right! If I had actually done some research on their broad nibs I might’ve learned that they were stub-like and not have chosen that. But I think I’m going to send it to get a cool grind done to it sometime. Because now that I’ve written with this medium, I have no desire to write with that broad anymore lol

I didn’t realise you can simply screw Visconti’s nibs out and swap it with another! For some reason I bought this one with a B nib which I fear will be too thick for me now. Can this nib swapping work with any Visconti nibs from any of their distributors and retailers? Thank you!
I can only speak for the Homo Sapiens line. They all screw in and out.
