Greetings! Great choice! I'd probably have chosen slightly different albums, but M-16 would've been on my list, too. And you've just probably inducted a re-listening orgy that I'm going to commit soon 😁! Cheers 🍻
Cool video! Haven't heard of Forsaken so I added them to my Playlist. 00s were a mix bag for me, there were lots of great albums, however it was also the decade of 'Loudness Wars'. I'd suggest these albums from this decade: - Riot - Army Of One - Erik Norlander - Music Machine - Cage - Darker Than Black - Theocracy - Mirror of Souls - Driver - Sons of Thunder - Wasp - Dying For The World - Saxon - The Inner Sanctum - Helloween - The Dark Ride
Let me know about Forsaken then. I just love the band so much and never get tired of hearing the music and watching them tear the stage apart during live gigs. Re: suggestions. I already know the records by Riot, Wasp and Saxon. Not sure I heard the Helloween one....not the biggest fan. The other 4 I still have to check out as well!!
Some great albums you mentioned. I remember buying a promo copy of Alone for a few € only knowing it was epic doom. I was floored. The solo in Upon within is next level, absolutely beautiful. Still a go to record whenever I want to hear some great doom.
SA are the epitome of what epic doom is and Alone even though it is their latest record and relatively quite new...it still reaches the heights of their 90s records. It is such a great feeling when your favourite bands keep up their level even when you'd almost accept a certain dip in the quality considering all the classics they gave us.

@@IronHordeMetalTalk I've liked what I've heard so far from Forsaken
I think Iconoclast EP might be their best 🤘

Just discovered your videos, it is awesome
Glad you like them!
Defensers of the crown was surprisingly old school. Times don't matter when you know how to make metal I guess
It's the attitude. If you have that approach and that mindset whatever comes out of your heart and soul, in this case, will have a distinct 80s vibe!
