Of course I went there to find out what was going on. It was an Indonesian wedding.
Everyone was happy, having a great time and there was a lot of food.
But when I arrived, some grandmothers took my money. That's apparently a cultural habit, at least in some regions of Indonesia.

The video owner included the term "sawer" in the captions with a quick definition. It takes 2 seconds to plug it into Google and read more about this Indonesian tradition involving money and what it means.
In the West and other cultures as well, it's extremely common for people to bring money for the bride and groom to assist in covering at least a portion of the cost for them to partake in the festivities, as well as to help the bride and groom in their future.
This man partook in the wedding celebrations, ate food, etc. so I'm confused as to why so many people are expressing such negativity here.
Not sure if it's ignorance or prejudice but either way, it isn't a good look. A lot of these accounts look young so maybe it's just kids that don't have any life experience yet.
Hope you all learn to expand your mind and be open to different cultures at some point. It's so wasteful to live your one life in ignorance.
