      @relo999 3 года назад +8

      @@pulsefel9210 To an extend, yes, but the big difference here is that the items sold are literally valueless and their functional properties can be copied practically infinitely for nothing. While real products still require some cost of copying and in some cases are impossible to copy due to the method of manufacturing being lost or them having been used by some historical figure. Of course those can be inflated to all hell still, but at least their base product is worth something. A beanie baby does still make for a decent kids toy and a tulip does still look good in a garden. But physical goods are rarely so inflated as anything crypto related in relation to it's real world raw goods value.
      The issue with NFT's and nearly all crypto (and even bitcoin to a large extend) is that people are in essence simply buying a promise of future value with 0 base value based on artificial scarcity. Where as with real products there is at least some base value.

  • @SsnakeBite

    There's also a big problem with Zombie Battleground/Relentless: that's not how NFTs work. That's kind of the problem with NFTs in general, which is that you don't own the thing they are tied to. Literally the only thing you own is the NFT itself and just because you own it doesn't mean you own the work, have any rights on its distribution or anything. Sure, sometimes people sell exclusivity rights and stuff like that alongside it... which has nothing to do with NFTs and can be done without them. NFTs are useless, unless you really want to own a certificate of authenticity, but not the thing it authenticates.

      NFTs are the ultimate con. Buy nothing, say you own it, pay an exorbitant amount of money for it. It’s just paying for bragging rights, some people are just that vain. The only small credit I give is NFT buyers that flip for a profit of some type, but you’re still contributing to the cause.

It was a *massive* failure that died in the span of a couple of months, one of the only times that a game of theirs has failed to find an audience.
    If one of the largest and most successful gaming companies in the world couldn't make it work with all of the advantages they had, and with vast amounts of cash and tools at their disposal, then what chance did these backers think that a couple of johnnies-come-lately with less than $350k have with an entirely new IP?!

    Here's the thing: a "bitcoin billionaire" can more accurately be described as "not a billionaire" because the thing about crypto-currency is that, by definition, it doesn't have any value on its own. It only does if someone buys it from you. It's potential wealth but unless you sell it, you might as well say you're a Monopoly Money billionaire. It's like if I said I have over 150000€ because I recently bought an apartment that costs that. There's a huge difference between owning X amount worth of something and actually having X amount of money, and the fact that so many cryptocurrency speculators rely on that confusion should be rather concerning for anyone willing to get into cryptocurrency.

      In no way, shape or form is there a magical little box that takes energy from the motion of a car, generates and checks complex security equations (how bitcoins are created and validated) and fills up your gas tank with free fuel siphoned from the wishing dimension. The entire premise is a massive stack of week-old baloney and it's alarming that anyone would be even partially fooled by it.

    • @Islacrusez
      @Islacrusez 3 года назад +2

      @@hazukichanx408 are you trying to say that there is no way to get electricity from a car? You do realise that there are already electrical outlets in cars, right? Did you know where that electricity comes from? That’s right, it’s electricity generated using power from the engine that isn’t being used to move the car. Amazing what modern technology can do, turning motion into electricity, whatever will they think of next? You’ll also find that we do have magic little boxes that you put energy into and get mathematical work out!
      That’s the real problem though, it’s plausible. The technology exists for everything they say to actually function. Not in any useful or productive way - first up that power isn’t spare unless you’re going downhill in gear, so any cryptocurrency you earn will need to be balanced against the increased fuel costs. Then you’ve got the actual size of the device (notwithstanding that it’s actually a freeview box) being too small to contain most of the hardware commonly used for mining, and the power consumption is typically pretty high (not to mention mining is usually done with a farm, not one device). And here’s the really fun one... if you want to validate crypto transactions, you need an internet connection. I can’t even get a stable internet connection at my house, imagine trying to get a stable internet connection while driving around, in the city, through tunnels, mountains and crosscountry.
      Just plausible enough to sound legit if you’re not well-versed. And that’s what makes it a dangerous scam.

      Couldn't do anymore harm then the fake bomb detectors that were used by actual governments (they were essentially dousing rods, they had no electrical parts, no gears, no anything, a swiveling rod with a empty plastic case. People tried solving murders and looking for bombs with these fucking things.)
