Maybe a small sacrifice to revive them so you can't just do it on a whim. If you do it with a runeword then you sacrifice 1 rune 2 levels below the highest rune in that runeword. For example to revive an infinity Golem, you'd sacrifice a Lo.
Oh man that last minutes bonuses make my jaw on the ground - all becose of HC mode as sorc when u tp at some shitty zone. Last situation was REAL HELL.

Excellent video. Do you think Beast is overall better than Hoto for just farming ? I didnt do Ubers yet but for general farming I found Beast to be a little slower.
Hey, thanks, it depends! If you can get enough @ resist & 75fcr, Beast is better because your merc will hit faster and make more dmg. It only takes one dead monster to blow up the whole screen.
Those boots are sick! They literally came from another dimension. I would bet they are more valuable than half of your equipment. Did you find or trade them? Man... what's up with the ending? What's that cliffhanger? Was that a finisher strike or you survived that as well?:)

Awesome video and love summoner necromancers! One thing I noticed is that you didn't cast bone armor much or at all? It's like a free 200 damage absorb (especially after 2.4 buff) and I think the damage it absorbs is pre-amp?
Hey, you have to put one hard point in order to get bone armor & that 200dmg only covers one hit anyway (annoying to recast every 10sec haha) thanx for your comment, appreciate it & gl !
@@ilovemf I guess it's personal preference and sorry if I was imposing my opinion. Necro just has so many "optional" skill routes as it only takes max raise skeleton and skeleton mastery to get it off the floor and a good majority of the damage comes from mercenary. They can go max bone armor for tankiness. Max CE/Amp for maximum CE accessibility. Max mages or revives for maximum army and/or ubers. It is also possible to put points in all the curses for fun. Max golem mastery, clay golem, or iron golem for golem damage or health depending the player. Sorry about the rant XD

I am doubtful of the choice for infinity on merc. I do think it is better to put pride on merc, beast iron golem, arm of king leoric or hoto on main hand
I run hardcore necro with similar build. Just got infinity for merc and had pride on him thinkin about making my golem out of pride and replace insight how does your mana hold up? Im on hc so i max res and block etc also have enigma beast the works by far my favorite character since 02 lol
In the mercenary andariels visage is a better helm than that one you are using ? Bramble sacred armor etheral gives an aura isnt better than fortitude? A good tiara or circlet + 3 summon + fcr + ALL resist is better option than shako. And obviosly a craft amulet.

Is it possible to make it without enigma? I have all of the other gear... And yes, I know that the damage dealt by the skeles are way lower and spread apart but anyway. Another question: Would the golem benefit from putting extra hard points into Iron or Blood Golem? Or is Golem Mastery the best choice in order to keep him alive?
It's possible to play it without enigma for sure as you can use teleport charges from magic/rare circlets/amulets/staffs or you can just use a naj's puzzler which is pretty cheap as well. The only issue is that the teleport charges will start to get annoying and expensive. The summoner's general play style is mostly about guiding the mercenary to get the first kill, then using CE to chain kills. I would not use a pride golem or iron golems at all if you don't have enigma; the golem AI is just very aggressive and he's always in front of the pack. I normally only put 1 point into clay golem and golem mastery until I have enigma, then I respec. This build also isn't as strong as a hammerdin or light sorc on higher players difficulties as corpse explosion is based on the corpse health on p1.
Exact :) well said. You can put points into golem mastery (i did ! because i have some remaining skill points left but golem is pretty tanky with cta & just 1point in golem mastery)
@@ilovemf So I use to run builds like this when the game was first made and recently in initial d2r release. There is a bug that causes the iron golem to go poof when you don't have enigma and your running through act1 cats or it drags to far behind .. its a quick way to burn a lot of runewords. But if you have enigma and never walk you just tele with a pack they tele with you and you never lose the golem.
I really like running a max block necro with homunculus, +3 summon skill/20%fcr/2 socket circlet, and an amulet with necro skills and fcr to still reach that 75% FCR. I tested it out against a max vita build with spirit, and I think the max block stays alive better. Most of the time a summoner dies from teleporting into a strong pack of physical damage monsters or stygian dolls. The max block helps with the physical monsters, and you just have to be careful in areas with stygian dolls. I was testing this out before making a pride Iron Golem.

I only play non ladder because I don’t have time for ladder and finding the GG items without being able to trade is tough.
I have almost 800 def ethereal archon but i dont have a balls try to do sockets. Iam sure i use larzuk service and do fortitude for merce when iam rich guy, so another 10year. And can i ask, i found superior eth matriarcal javelin, any worth? Iam like a john snow, i dont know nothing.

I really do want to make a summon necro again. I play hardcore only. This build just costs sooo much. Summon necor my favorite though. I always end up playing sorc cause they are the most "efficient". Maybe I just play what is most fun next ladder!
I also play summon and really enjoy it. I just wish that they would beef up skeletons, so it is more about your summon army than your merc. Give them some form of CB and it would be great to have them throughout games so I don’t always have to summon with prebuff gear.
Made an insight golem once. Despawn on me losing the rune word. Thanks god it was a cheap runeword. Never consider making one out of a higher runeword ever.

Wish they’d add a way to revive an iron golem. We’d see some really cool meta if it weren’t such a huge risk making them.

whats keeping the merc alive without the leech? doesnt he die often?
Hey, he's got a high defense, which helps... but it's mostly because I kill everything before merc gets hit.
