  • Teaching K-12 students about agriculture, nutrition, food justice, and culinary skills is critical to creating community members who care about the local food system and will support - or become - local producers. This session will showcase ways that schools are enabling students to advocate for better food in their school and community; to grow produce to donate to local nonprofits; to share recipes from their home countries; and to develop empathy through caring for livestock.
