- "The Diesel Shop" re-visits TRC with their new built motor, big turbo setup! Now rocking a Precision ProMod 91mm turbo, this beast makes over 1000whp and 1800ft lbs of torque!! Still having the nitrous on tap for an extra 250whp if needed.

I love how the car pulling up to the right at the beginning is absolutely terrified by this truck. They were scared of getting their car dirty.
Pulls like a freight train seems like a gross understatement. I bet this thing could pull a freight train faster than a freight train could pull.
A modern diesel locomotive built in the USA makes around 6,000 hp. Torque is probably double that.
Ethanmeister torque on a diesel loco is usually 25000lb-ft or more.
Locomotive torque could twist his entire truck into a pretzel and hardly shudder in the process.

youre probably thinking of the older mechanical injection diesel stuff blowing shit tons of smoke. Theres no way around that, because of mechanical injection, anytime youre at full throttle its pouring 100% fuel. These newer electronic injection trucks help eliminate some of that because the injectors arent mechanical.
Michael W even with modern tuning you see guys just dump fuel and boost into them without really tuning the other tables

This same diesel engine is great in a 1990 Chevy Caprice without nitro makes this the monstrous diesel street machine.

Wonder what the limiter on that thing is set at. I know stock duramaxes redline around 3500-4000. This one sounds like it's way higher than that.

Is there really a need for the coal? I imagine the extra fuel can cool everything down, but wouldn't it soot up the pistons and combustion chambers as well?
For the people saying it smokes to much before the turbo lights up, so you know, the fuel ratio is higher to keep the engine as cool as possible because of the lack of air. it cleans up nice when it lights, but until then the extra fuel acts as coolant source in the cylinders. The exact same thing you see on sled pulling trucks.

Nazty604 prob has huge injectors and needs a different Rubi setup, but under full psi, the smoke isn't too bad.
if they were spraying it the smoke would clean up.
