Enjoyed watch this, man impressive. I spoke with an engineer that I asked to reach out to you & Josh. I learned there is a way to reduce recoil, & increase volicity. Man, again impressive to see how good of those hulls were after such a powerful load. Youball got me far more intersted in single shot shotguns. Kind regards 🇺🇸
@@theshotgunscientists jason said. He can get you closer to 3000 💪💪 in a 3" load I don't understand how, but i guess the man is an engineer. If I'm ever wrong, please let me know. Ballisticengering has created their own gun powerd & mixed metals for shot & slugs. Was enteresting talking with Jason. He gets prety fired up sharing ideas.
Bravo.... you guys are set if you get attacked by, well, anything that has ever walked the planet. Also those double as anti aircraft guns now. 383 grain slugs going 2000 fps works out to be 3401 ft lbs of energy at the muzzle. What does it do to a deer???
@@theshotgunscientists Nope, it's your dog. Didn't catch it the first time. Just saw a furry creature high tailing it in the brush... I guess I just got used to seeing deer in the background of Paul Harrell's videos that I was projecting
Do you guys wear ear pro? I can't tell. I cringe every time I hear a 12ga recipe call for 50gn of Longshot! The max I have ever used for a 7/8 oz slug is 39gn. Those were crazy fast and accurate. Have you tried the Svarog Zveroboy slug?

You guys are doing great work here. I have several centerfire H&R rifles. They take quite a bit of followthrough with the trigger to get good groups.
This is a very old video, check out the new ones they are much better
2000 fps and those groups!? Yeah, ya'll are definitely onto one helluva a slug load.
I'm gonna be getting up with Mr. Hollow point for sure.
Good shootin. How many pellets of 000 or 0000 could you get going 2000 fps out of a 10g?
No idea haven’t worked one up yet
Dang those were accurate! And the speed…. Geesh. Really dig your channel brother, keep up the good work.
Thanks man

Wow man.. your moving up the ladder, I had to watch not one but two commercials before your vid came on.
Yep lol I gotta watch them too just to watch my own videos.
How much long shot for 23/4?
Those are 2 3/4” actually
We never know if you guys are shooting out of a rifled slug barrel or a smoothbore, which one were you using.
The ultra slug is rifled
I'm liking those! Good recipe.
Thanks
Those were some pretty hot rounds
Still within safe pressure limits though
Imagine 3 of these stacked in a 3.5" shell.
Jim akers tested that and it shot poorly so we never did it.

U might try to clean the barrel of that gun after every five shots to help improve the pattern IMHO

We have ear plugs in with every shot we take and yeah we’ve got some to film with
To drive them speedy...id be trying HERCO
Looks to me tite group lived up to its name
7/8oz loads... Hmmmm how about red dot or green dot.?
Green dot might be a good choice.
Great
Thanks man
That is alot of Longshot.
Sure is.
Jeff hessel uses a ratchet strap to hold down their chrono much of the time.
I'll take some please
