Now IsTheTime Get Ready 1 Corinthians 12:12-30 New International Version (NIV)Unity and Diversity in the
15 Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 17 If the whole body If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” 22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

      he's not trying. he's doing.
that's what's wrong with this country. the rich are exalted and no one cares how they make their money. those who are hard working and decent in their livelihood are criticized when they don't make "enough". The cost to do well in this society is extremely high but it's the decent laborer who is shamed for not bettering himself and choosing a more lucrative career. Question. Can everyone hold a lucrative position? How would that work?

Appearing as a regular on a popular TV show doesn't automatically make you a millionaire, nor does it necessarily pay enough to invest. Once it's over, it's over. If you're lucky, you'll get residuals, but if you have difficulty landing the next acting gig, you find work elsewhere.

AATHEISTU He graduated cum laude from Yale. That counts as an education. The point is he needed some money but wanted a job flexible enough so he could continue auditioning and taking other short-term acting jobs. As for investing, I have no idea what his original salary was on the Cosby Show, which ended 26 years ago, but I would not assume it was so much that he could live his whole life just on the interest from investing that amount.

Class prejudice, plain and simple. We live in a vicious, oppressive oligarchy in which the amount of money you have determines the number of rights you are granted. A person's worth as a human being is now determined by how much money they have. And the thing is, once you fall below the middle class, you can never get back up because being poor is seen as a moral failing; you're now damaged goods. People believe there's a _reason_ why you're poor, and no one will consider you for anything more.

I hope he gets called in by bigger names whose memory of him has now been jogged, and that he gets plenty of work from being right for the part. He's a cool guy, he's an active and competent actor, there's just only so many actors who can be rich and famous. Plenty more smaller-name actors are vital to making our entertainment as good as it is, and they work regular jobs in between gigs, just as so many regular people do. That's the norm, and there's absolutely no shame in that.

Nobody should be shamed for doing an honorable job.
One of my best friends is an actor. He has done some major films. He has worked with Robert DowneyJr, Jude Law, Ryan Reynolds, Rachel MacAdams, Antonio Banderas, Guillermo Deltoro etc. everyone thinks he should be a multi millionaire. That is not how it works. The big stars make the big bucks. Smaller roles get you less wages. He works a normal job when not doing films. It’s just how it is.

Why the hell is this news? I've worked in the entertainment industry for 30 years and this is very common more than you think. Why is everyone getting their knickers in a twist? Do you honestly think that some of your favourite celebs have not done similar type of jobs before (and some still do)? Really! Are people that stupid? There is no shame in working to provide for yourself and family. Damn it I have more than my fair share of doing regular jobs despite coming from a well to do family. However, I rather earn it than getting handouts. It says more about the people shaming him than about this man. This world is a mess.

I've been in the Welding Industry for over 30yrs, and if you see a Welder become a Welders Helper, he or she will get a shameful look. My goal in life was never to become a Welder, I enjoy seeing people eat and enjoy food. So last year my wife and I had the opportunity to get a food truck built and it is so enjoyable to cook and see others enjoy eating the food, and with doing this, it has motivated others to start living out there dreams.

i watched a YT vid recently about "10 Celebrities Who Vanished Without a Trace". Most of them were from the 1960s and disappeared just as they beginning to gain recognition for their talents, therefore, most Millenial-aged viewers had at most only heard of one or two of them.
The video told each of their stories - most truly did disappear in mysterious/suspicious circumstances (eg. one was driving to an interstate gig, stopped at a motel overnight, and the next day they found ALL his stuff still there (wallet, his clothes, his car still sitting outside) but the man himself was gone forever; another was a troubled ex-professional basketballer, a massive tall dude, who was last seen hitchiking on a highway, and never seen again)... Id never heard of any of the 10, but im aware there are multiple billions if people ive never heard of, and these were still strange, dark, tragic stories of real humans who vanished without a trace.
But the comments under the video were at least 3/4 full of people complaining "Ive personally never heard of most of these folk... therefore they are NOT CELEBRITIES... therefore why should i care what happened to them?"
We are all used to trolls commenting on YT, but the number of people indicating they dont feel any regular human emotions for the victims because they dont consider them CELEBRITIES struck me as strangely warped...
And i wonder if an element of that odd view of celebrities is a factor in peoples' interest in this "news story"?
Maybe growing up repeatedly viewing a "celebrity" on TV confuses our ancient cave-man brains that this person is a close relative of ours, or at least an intimate member of our pack/tribe... And maybe for people who dont grow up and form many close bonds with real humans, the celebrities who are unconsciously imprinted on their brains are the only people they can feel primal, survival-strength emotions about?
My mum grew up in a harsh period in Glasgow Scotland in the 50s and 60s, and she and her friends and relatives retained a life-long love for the mostly African-Americal "girl groups" who were so big at that time... Interestingly my mum/family never had any racism in them, and i grew up in Australia loving American celebrities too, many of them African American, and to me me there was/is no more significant biological difference between "races" than there is between people with different hair colour... Today i work in a major hospital alongside practically every "racial" group... recently a friend at work asked me what race a new female worker is, and i swear to god i simply hadnt focused enough on her skin colour to even guess where she was from (the same as you could ask me what fashion brand or hairstyle someone id just chatted with was wearing, and 90% of the time i couldnt tell you, bec to me its not important enough information for my brain to store in long term memory...
Anyway, the point is our brains were developed to live in a world where if we saw someone "up close" all the time it meant we were literally "close to" that person... Its not surprising that seeing celebrities up close (but actually on tv, in the media, etc) might trick our brains into assuming we share a bond with them and hence activating the stronger levels of emotions that we normally only develop for the people we know.
To me this "news story" had a slight draw, as though "hey, i went to school with that dude, what's happening with him?" Luckily it turns out he appears to be doing well, especially on the inside.

To shame people who WORK just because it's not something they used to do on another level...that is stupid. He is still a working man. Work is work. Taking care of his life and people laugh? Haters and idiots. He handled the hate with greatness, though. He's awesome! I really like him because he seems so positive and love his calm, approachable nature.
And really all their laughter did was put a spotlight back on him and he's acting, again! He was probably already doing auditions before that story hit and so when the story hit that just put him back on the map. And yeah, he's still a great actor. Bump the haters! Lol. Never let haters cramp your moves. Haters are the actual losers. They can never be happy for anyone. That's a loser attitude. 💯
