    This is a very important video. It's so easy to kind of gloss over it while reading the instructions, which weren't nearly as clear to me as watching this video. This could make all the difference in the world if your flying close to a lake or some buildings. I wish you would redo the audio on the bad audio part of it. I know it would take some doing, but this is so important, I think you'd bless a lot of people. Even if you don't, it's still a great, clear concise video, and the fact that you explained it before you showed the examples, really helps. Marc

    You may already know this, but if not, you can purchase a small lava lour mike and either use it with a wireless setup for your camera, or if your close to your camera, like I think you are, just clip it on your collar, maybe run it down your shirt, and plug it into the camera. I noticed that your getting a lot of wind noise. They make a small "dead cat" cover (hairy cover) for a lava lour and it does wonders to control the loud wind noise. It can knock it down considerably. Once again, no insult to your intelligence. You did a really good and really important video here. Marc.

    Another awesome video. One tiny suggestion? I would try not to ever show the radios antennas criss-crossed like that as people might get the idea they can have them like that, but that is a real no-no as it could wipe-out your signal.

    I think one point is still missing (or maybe I missed you mentioning it): The spark won't go down when RTH is initiated and you are currently higher than the RTH-altitude selected. It will return at the current altitude instead. I Know this is true for distances greater than 100m not sure about 20-100m.

    Very useful video. Thanks for it. It is also worth to notice, that if Spark is in distance greater than 20 m and altitude greater (lets say 120 m) than Return-to-Home Altitude (lets say 50 m) Spark will return on altitude 120 m. It will climb to RTH altitude if it is below it, but won't fall to it if it is above. So watch out if you take off under a bridge or something like that :-)

    Could you please re-shoot the second half of this video? This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT stuff, I think it would be mandatory watching for all Spark owners. It is such a shame your camera died half way into demoing it. The Total (far away) camera is pretty useless and very hard to watch. Thank you for the clear explanation, and for all your efforts in this!
    I especially appreciate the fact you refer to the distance in metric, makes it much easier to follow and understand.

    That's very thoroughly explained, I definitely learned something, was contemplating between Mavic Air and Spark, ended up with spark as I got it at a reasonably cheap rate and I am a beginner did not want to just throw my money at something I was not sure about, but I must admit, I'm just loving this thing, I cannot believe all the features this thing has, and it just keeps getting better, I'm still learning new things and your videos are helping a lot. There is one issue I'm currently facing, I see this weak transmission signal when I got above 120 meters, which is wayyy under the official altitude, don't know how to fix it.

    • @hellboySv
      @hellboySv 6 лет назад

      Kloo Gee Thank you for the reply! I'm from India, but currently we don't have drone laws yet, there has been a draft which categorises drones into 4 categories, nano , micro, mini, small, large. They are segregated according to the weight, and according to the category, the user is supposed to either register the drone, or need prior permission for flying. So I don't think there's an issue with the altitude restriction. I'll check out the provided link and give you an update. Thanks

    good info but please tell your watchers- I got a home location and started to fly - but after about 5 minutes I lost connection with my controller , I then hit the RTH button but it just flew away (lost) I also had DJI refresh but due to something that did not record onto my Iphone DJI will NOT refresh. (after a month of email then they said they will not refresh) I am a 69 year old (young) pensioner living in Scotland. I am down £758.00 so I think my drone days are over. Please pass this on incase anyone is thing about DJI refresh please please read the SMALL print before buying and thinking you are SAFE . I was just beginning to enjoy flying my Spark. thanks for all your videos

      Could you possibly try turning it in to your credit card company if you used one to order your drone? Card companies have a lot of extra perks that people don't know about as far as getting something fixed even tho that product is out of warranty and will sometimes cover stolen items or at least help you out somewhat. Just a thought and maybe worth checking into. Best of luck. I have this fear every time I fly. Hope it never happens to anyone.

    Nice information. Remember the Spark needs to go higher than 4ft on takeoff to really get a good lock on the home point. I always take it straight up about 15 ft on first hover. Comment: your jump cuts get a little annoying after a while. Are you really making that many mistakes? And maybe try to look at the lens more, and not the screen. :) But you're very informative. Mister this is an AWESOME Video. I just recently bought spark and got plenty of questions but you answer majority of them. The only thing I wanted to ask you is, it’s kinda confusing to me when trying to determine if the aircraft is facing you or facing forward when it’s already far away from your home point. You know that it kinda goes in reverse depending on where the gimble is facing. So, that scares the heck out of me. Any advice please? Thank you again for taking the time sharing your video.
