Fantastic-----My favorite toy as a kid was my American Flyer train set with bridges, crossing signals, lights, water tower, and other accessories. Long live the toy trains ! ! !
I love all the trains! My 3 year old grandson seems to gravitate to the steam engines. He hasn’t seen this video yet, but will tomorrow when I have him for the day.
I'm glad to hear boys haven't changed Much. When I was about his age maybe a little older ALL types of trains were just neat to me. Best evening was talking my folks to take me to the switching yards downtown!
Свака част, лепа колекција макета возова. Мислим да би требао повезати пар пруга, тако да се возови укрштају, као што се сада лепо мимоилазе. Every part, a beautiful collection of model trains. I think it should connect a couple of tracks so that the trains intersect, as they now pass nicely.
God I love where you live....clear skies....and you must have very nice neighbors.....because there's no way you're putting all that stuff away before nightfall unless you work thru the night....or your neighbors and kids are nice enough not to mess with all that!!
Yeah, this is the kind of neighborhood where you can leave a layout like that on your driveway for a couple of nights and it's just the way you left it in the morning.
Half way through this video I suddenly realized that I had an incredible huge smile on my face. So I had to come to the conclusion that I really love trains. Especially this scale of model trains.
First time seeing any of your videos, and i must say with a big smile, WOW!! You take 1st prize, I never saw anyone doing anything close to this layout in the garage and driveway. What a collection!!
I love this!! As someone who has always set up his trains on the floor, this is a dream come true!!! I admit, I'm totally envious of your set-up!!! Thank you for sharing it with us and transporting me back to my childhood playmagination!!!!!
Magnificent, I've ridden the White Pass Train From Skagway, Alaska. I had some photos of the old steam locos that use to do that route but sadly can't find them anymore, this was way back in the 70's, they were all stored next to the shipping berth.
I think the best parts about this is A.) it’s cool watching a guy just play with his model trains B.) it’s very nice to let the neighbor hood kids watch
When we moved up here to Washington from our previous (much smaller) place in California, I ended up buying about $2000 of additional track... just so I'd have enough to run a couple of sets of tracks all the way around our back yard. I haven't had to buy any other track since then.
Thanks Jim for an entertaining experience, loved how we got to four simultaneous trains in a single camera shot ( nearly 5 ) and the drone shot. You have gone to some trouble putting this together, thanks for sharing on RUclips.😎👍👌😁
Nice seeing your temporary layout I know you went to a lot of trouble to lay all that track and to keep it clean enough to run all those trains it's great that you could do this it's good to get out there and show the young people the enthusi asm that can be had with having a train go ahead RUN WITH A CLEAN STACK
Enjoy your nice train and your free time. Very beautiful passion. I have my HO train, packed for a long time. I loose my house, here in Chile in dificult now.
Love the video, They are all awesome but the Santa Fe War Bonnet is my favorite. I'm an O gauge collector and live in Richland, like seeing other model railroaders that live close to me, thanks for sharing and welcome to Washington State
This made me smile from ear to ear! Great job here Jim - and great photography too. Loving the train door!! Thanks for sharing this. Best wishes from the UK.
Great video! As far as people asking why you don't build a permanent layout in your backyard, it's YOUR railroad and you can do what YOU want with it! Personally, I do HO and vintage American Flyer. I only set up the AF at Christmas and then back into storage for at least another year. Keep on enjoying the hobby!
Be careful showing any Thomas trains, RUclips will whack you down as a kids video in time. I have endless videos that are now worthless because of their busted AI systems
Im pretty sure the bot would had marked jim year's ago, he has shown a few thoma's and friend's model's a ton, for a while he did cruise ship review's.
I make more ad revenue from my video "Thomas & Friends Arrive In California" than I do from any other video on my channel. So, Thomas & Friends will definitely continue to be a part of the mix around here.
@@JimZim Very weird because every video I have had get slam dunked it be a 'Kids" video earns near next to nothing compared to the as income before 'Kids' RUclips ripped apart that side of RUclips. Just about every top toy review producer stopped producing once this change happened. Anyway I notice many people agree with my warning about venturing into anything 'Kids' these days. So sad how this site keeps destroying the ability to be successful here.
@@Nico93 I have been on this site long enough to see the really good times and the absolute train wreck it's become today. The RUclips AL & Bots are now basically set to trip you up at every move. If it looks like your becoming popular expect to be smacked down pretty fast. Everyone I know who was producing 'Kids" style videos suffered a 90% drop in ad revenue. The RUclips systems could now see that a video may be made for a 'general' audience. Something that has info for both children and adults. The definition of a 'Kids' video is a joke. The lack of definition for a 'general audience' video is criminal. Jim Zim's video about Thomas going to California hasn't been on the site long enough for him to see the incredible years that were prior to say 2015. But the downfall actually started to kick in at 2012 when 'partner for all' was allowed. That just littered RUclips with rip off scam producers who destroyed the confidence in any advertisers spending money here. I could explain more but sadly so many people just want to ignore my long experience on this site. So enough said.
All I can say is I wish I had you're dedication to my hobby (retro/new gamming/want to build a game room) as to yours. It's impressive by far. I hope to see some land scaping build...at least on the inside of the garage lol. might if you haven't think of opening it up to the neighborhood kids to see, looks like a fun way to interact and fun raised for a fav charity you may have in mind!
Enjoyed your video!!!! I can't wait to retire!!!! My favorite trains were the BNSF , SANTA FE CHIEF PASSENGER TRAIN & THE WHITE PASS STEAMER!!!! I have been a train collector since 10 yrs. Old!!!! I currently have a train room in California with 3 Xmas themed layouts!!!! The room is 16 ×32!!!!
What's not to like? Great fun!! The excellent flat concrete no doubt helped a lot. I am in UK, but never realized that Thomas is big in the US as well. Enjoy your retirement sir.
Moved from Nevada to Texas several years ago. I had a G scale back yard layout in Nevada. And on Halloween I would set up trains on our driveway and side walks as you did here for the kids to see. Oct. 31st is a state holiday in Nevada and the kids are out of school. But the first house we bought in Texas was not layout friendly. Now our second house9 years later has a 2 acre yard and I am now too old to do the the up and down work. I do have tons of engines and cars. About 1,200 feet of track left. I keep saying I will do an elevated layout this time. Hope I get to.

A very nice video and layout. I don't think I'd have room for a G-scale layout, much less one that goes around an entire house, but I have plans to expand my HO-scale layout, and can appreciate your dedication to the hobby.
My 2 year old son loved this and I love you are living the dream!!!
This man living the good life while being retired......looks like a hell of a good time sir.

Just watched your video with my 4-year-old son and we both loved it. Thanks from Ridgefield, WA!
I like the Super Chief with the war bonnet color scheme
I love all the trains! My 3 year old grandson seems to gravitate to the steam engines. He hasn’t seen this video yet, but will tomorrow when I have him for the day.
take him see one of the excursion locomotives like big boy 4014 or to a heritage railroad somewhere whatever is closest

That must have been a real treat to see that as a kid.
Truly playing with trains. Love it. Love the White Pass steam train. A great way to play without a permanent layout.
I loved all of them
I have a request to make all Santa Fe
I like the all if the trains. Thank you for sharing them with us. Have fun on your retirement!!
I suppose Toby would have tipped over too. Nice layout.
This is the dream...and the life. Wow! I started last Christmas with a Hornby ho Christmas train set. Luvin every moment of it.
I really missed these videos. And it’s unique you set it all up on your driveway.

Holy Trains Batman!!
I’m 10th! Yay! I wish I had this amount of g scale, i only have a oval and 1 engine and 2 coaches.
3D printing is a good way to make frieght cars cheaply you can break even after about 20 cars too
Keep hoping for the good to come never stop
Its you imagination, the rest comes later!!
Well ya know what, we all got a build our collection from somewhere
You’ll get there
It's really good to see your trains again Jim.
Putting that track together was a lot of knee time! WOW!
Exactly, and I'm a little bit past my prime, too!
I love the Santa Fe super chief. My favorite train of all time.
Just brilliant thank you for sharing
Love that 0-4-0 with the 2 ore cars.

Beautiful love model trains
Really like the sound effects on the first engine. Especailly the horn. Very realistic.
As a fellow model rail roader I just love what you are doing here and my favorite has to be the White pass steam engine
My son (5) liked the 1st train best. He LOVES trains and was so excited to see your video!
I have 139 different model train videos on my channel, so feel free to explore and binge!
That was grate , thanks for the video Sir.
