@@EducationalRoots I do think I’m going to do the literature too and add in some writing instruction with IEW. I’m a bit scared about highschool and hope I choose all the right things!
Great review! I'm going to use Notgrass for my 9th grader next school year. I'm not sure what one I should use first. They have the new geography coming out so I want to do that one, but I dont know if I should have him complete the world and U.S. history first and then do geography in 11th or 12th grade. They all look so good.
Anyday Blessings Yes. The audio book REALLY helped her. Basically what she would do is listen to the audio with her book open and she would try to answer the questions in the student review as she went. This saved her a ton of time. I try to get audio books whenever I can.
This was a fantastic review. You probably shared it already but would you say this program takes 2 years or can be completed easily in 1 year? And how many high school credits? Thank you!
What do you use for middle school history? Science? High school science? My oldest is going to be a 6th grader this year. I suddenly feel like I need to think longer term! Yikes!!
Creative Minds Homeschool Yeah, well..:lol....basically my current middle schooler hates all things school. She hasn’t really done history for the last 2 years (I know, I know)... and science she’s used Queen Homeschool the last 2 years. Now what I plan to do with the other ones...Notgrass History and Apologia Science.
This is great! We have 1 more year before my oldest hits high school, but I think I'm going to go with Notgrass for high school. I have a 6 (will be 7 in September). Do you think Star Spangled Story would be good for him, or would it be above his head a little?
It’s totally up to you. When we did it my third grader definitely got more out of it, but my first grader loved it too. For us it wasn’t as much about learning the facts but the memories we made. You could totally wait until third or fourth grade. It’s up to you.
If I were to use this with my 8th and 6th graders, and have them complete each days activities, and use the Literature, and workbooks, would I only need to add in grammar? Also Science and Math? If I do it this way which Grammar curriculum would work well?
Michelle Channell Hi. I would not recommend this for 8th and 6th graders. This is a high school curriculum. It was pretty challenging for my 11th grader. They DO have a middle school version of American history.
Michelle Channell Oh! Lol! Then in that case, yes, I would add science, math, and grammar. I would also add writing. For grammar and writing I love IEW.
@@EducationalRoots Thank you I'm going rewatch your From Adam to Us video as well to get comfortable with it. I plan to use it for my 9th grader. I know that's not recommended, but she's had enough of American history for right now. And, one, she's hates history and two, with her disabilities, she needs something easy on the eyes and not too overwhelming. So far Adam to Us seems like a good fit for her. Then, in 10th grade I will have her to H.S. American History. Then, maybe Uncle Sam and You for my 7th grader (Then she will do From Adam to Us in 8th grade). I guess...I don't know. Ps. I won't forget to order Memoria Press and Notgrass from you.
Jamie G Here are the bonus downloads, including the checklist and a comparison to their high school world history. history.notgrass.com/from-adam-to-us-links/
Hi Natasha. Thank you for sharing all the different curriculum out there. I personally never knew there were so many options.
There are so many! It's great that homeschoolers have choices!
I’m really loving this! I think I’m going to use this for my 9th grader!
It’s fantastic!

Colin P I don’t think it really matters. I think geography sounds like a great 9th grade course.
I emailed them and I let them know what we used and they made the suggestion for us...9th- world history 10th- American history 11th- Econ/ govt
Quizlet? I don’t see it listed ?
Under our umbrella we are advised only 8 credits per semester so we couldn’t take 3 for Notgrass...bummer for sure
My daughter did just the history credit :)
Did you use this with your daughter who needs the audio? If so, what was the audio supplement like?
Anyday Blessings Yes. The audio book REALLY helped her. Basically what she would do is listen to the audio with her book open and she would try to answer the questions in the student review as she went. This saved her a ton of time. I try to get audio books whenever I can.

This can be completed easily in one year! If you do the history, literature, and Bible then it would be 3 credits!
@@EducationalRoots awesome! Thanks!!
@@EducationalRoots even if you end up spreading it out into 2 years?
@@TheChan7 Yes, the credits would be the same no matter how long you take to do it.
