Guys, just do the whole album, doesn’t matter how long the video is, we will all enjoy it with you ! You do movies….do this…Have the experience already 🤩!
Cannot upvote this enough! Or at least-please-do them in order, and listen back to some of the prior song to get some of the vibe back! And don't cut off the intros/outros-listen to the whole thing from a real album version! This version was a re-edited mess. ☹
As mentioned by others, Dark Side of the Moon is not an album that you listen to songs off of... it's a work of art in the form of an album. Tracks lead into each other weaving the musical and lyrical story and you'll never get the full experience just listening to individual tracks. This is the epitome of "album rock" so please do it justice by covering the entire album in one session. You won't be sorry.
This is an EXTREMELY weird mashup with strange cuts. The actual version is about 2 and a half minutes consisting of instrumentals and 2 verses with no repetition. Regardless, you definitely need to react to Dark Side Of the Moon as a whole in one setting. As much as you appreciate Pink Floyd now, it makes things 1000x more impressive. Love your reactions!
You just can't go wrong with Pink Floyd -- one interesting note about this Album, it remained on the Billboard Top 200 charts for 736 nonconsecutive weeks (from 17 March 1973 to 16 July 1988) - 15 years!
It’s kind of weird not hearing the next song because that whole album streams from one song to another. You gotta listen to the album in it’s entirety.
They must have done pretty much all of the album by now? This one, Time, Great Gig, Money, Us and Them....now they've heard most of the parts, should (as everyone says) just do the whole thing in one go.
Like everyone has said, do the WHOLE album at once. This is the LONGEST album to stay on the Billboard charts. One of the greatest albums ever made, if not THE greatest.
I know everyone is going to say it, but it needs to be said every time. Dark Side of the Moon really needs to be experienced at one go. It's best to treat it like one complete work of art.
Yes. Each song is like reading a great chapter from a book. But, many (most) Pink Floyd albums are "concept albums". They tell a story. The sum is greater than the parts.
You are spot on but the very thing that makes it great causes a big dichotomy for me, in that there is no doubt it is a masterpiece, but it is not as listenable or accessible as other Pink Floyd albums, it is one you have to be in the mood for, unlike Wish You Were Here, which I could listen to all the time.
Trance-like states induced by music are very real. Pink Floyd was great at taking you there faster, and in a deeper way, than just about anyone modern. This state is really what jam bands are all about; they take you to a deeper understanding of the music by giving the melody time to simmer in the brain.
My uncle used to play the album when it was time for my sibs and I to go to sleep. So many weekends crashing on his front room floor to this album back in the 70s. Miss that man greatly.
The thing about Dark Side Of The Moon is that while every song is great on it's own the album really should be heard in its entirety more, I think, than any of their others. This was at the time of the concept album. Instead of random songs. They were telling a story and giving you something to think about!
I'd love to see you guys react to Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Parts I-V... It's 13 minutes of epic beauty, and IMO it shows Pink Floyd at their absolute best.
That song is right up there with "Echoes" as peak Pink Floyd. I used to love the Waters one-man-show (well, in his mind, at least) era, and still think The Final Cut is underappreciated, but the earlier stuff (and final album) when Wright was more of an influence are much more interesting and complex musically.
Yes indeed, My musical awakening was the Beatles debut on the Ed Sullivan show, it opened my eyes and ears to what music might be. From 1964 to 1994 (Curt Cobain died) we had the best run of music in the history of the human race, that is just not debatable!
Pink Floyd creates soundscapes, much like a visual artist might build a beautiful landscape with their brush. The Floyd uses a combination of soothing yet very intricate musical composition, thought inspiring lyrics and exceptional studio production to create a multi sensory musical experience. The sounds almost take on color, taste and shape. Layers and layers of genius!!
"ECHOES PART 1" LIVE AT POMPEI WILL BLOW YOU AWAY! FLOYD WHEN THERE AT THEIR BEST LIVE AND A DEEP MEANINGFUL JAM"!!! A MIND BLOWER!!!! FOR REACTION PLEASE AND THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN IT PLEASE PLEASE DO! IT SHOWS HOW GOOD AND SKILLED MUSICIANS AND WORDSMITHS THEY REALLY WERE!! : )
Echo’s off of Meddle is good. Echos Pt.1 from Live at Pompeii is MAGICAL! It must be seen w the sound UP! The jam at around the 5min mark is some of the best recorded music ever.
There was some editing in this song that made it different than the album version. You can detect it easily. Ditto to all the comments about the greatness of this album and to listen in its entirety. I heard this album being played in a Radio Shack in 1973 when came out and immediately bought it.
So, if I'm reading correctly, you've done the entire "Dark Side of the Moon" album…except for the album closer, "Brain Damage/Eclipse". (They're listed as separate songs, but one flows right into the other. Don't split them, please.) "Brain Damage/Eclipse" is not only my favorite song from the album… it's my favorite Pink Floyd song, period. And one of my favorite songs of all time. (Is that enough hype? I've got more if you need it.) Next, please. SOON, please. Thanks in advance.
If you can, do the entire album, maybe in two parts. You're missing out on the whole album experience. There's four album that must be listened to in one sitting: Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals & The Wall (Double Album). I and many others here know you'll enjoy the whole experience in context.
"All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be". Truer words were never spoken. Set aside an evening when you can listen from beginning to end and Pink Floyd will tell you a story that's worth listening to.
Best concept album of all time!!!!! Saw them in concert in the mid-70's and they started off with "Wish you were Here", then they played the entire "Dark Side of the Moon", then for an encore they preformed "Shine on you crazy diamond". Out of 100 or so concerts I attended in the late 60s thru the 70's, it was the best concert ever!! 😎
The entire album is otherworldly and best listened start to finish - look up "Dark Side of the Rainbow" album syncs up with The Wizard of Oz. 🌈🌒 Could be a fun reaction vid to hear the album and a movie! Please consider "Run Like Hell, "Welcome To Machine", "Dogs Of War" "On The Turning Away" - Love you guys, keep smiling! 🎶😎🎶
Here's the best one I could find on RUclips with entire movie and album sync/repeat. Ignore the "Money" intro at the beginning. 🤘😎 ruclips.net/video/bBamIi0tIRg/видео.html
The Floyd's album, "Meddle" has been one of my favorites since its release in '71. Please check it, especially "San Tropez", although every song is wonderful. It's so different from most of their other stuff.
@@andyo3689 YES ECHOES IS DEFINITELY A FAVORITE AND AS A MATTER OF FACT WHEN I SAW PINK FLOYD LIVE IN 1975 I HAD TAKEN SOME ACID AND WHEN ECHOES CAME ON IT WAS THE BEST PART OF MY TRIP!! EVEN THOUGH IT ALMOST MADE ME FLIP OUT!!!😁😁😎😎
I was so confused by this version, I was waiting for the song to end and it just repeated, just so odd to me, I was waiting for it to go into “on the run” but it just looped back. I am glad you guys did this one, but I must agree, you just have to hear the album in its entirety to fully appreciate it!!
This album has to be listened to in one sitting. I saw the "Dark Side of the Moon " tour in 1973. It was mind blowing. Took me to another dimension. Plus their visual effects were unheard of back then. I consider myself so lucky I got to see & hear this in concert.✌🌻🌻
Breathe and Time both remind us that life's not forever or for wasting. Pink Floyd's gentle lyrics can deliver vital information without scaring the pants off you.
I was fortunate enough to be a teenager in the 80s. The first time I heard this album and this band was also the first time I ever smoked the devil's leaf...I will never forget that experience as long as I live. And I hope I take that memory to Heaven with me someday.
I love that Amber is a Floyd fan. I love how you both let the artistry of the movies and music you choose to react to move and affect you. Your minds and souls are human. You're not bound by narrow choices or genres. I'm becoming addicted to you guys.
One of my favorites albums from Pink Floyd. The music is ethereal and magical. I carry this album in my Iphone’s library It is mind altering and multidimensional
I've always said that Floyd might not change your life but they will change your soul. Please consider "One of these Days" or "Echoes" (both from the Meddle album) for your next astral trip with Floyd. Cheers....
Great reaction! 😁 great song!, love Pink Floyd!, I know you two appreciate them also, unfortunately this song has been edited by someone who can't let go, and apparently put the ending on repeat. If you ever get the chance? listen to "Dark side of the moon" in it's entirety, you'll love the vibe. Thank you! Peace! ☮
Love Pink Floyd they are my favorite group to listen to I have been listening to Pink Floyd since I was about 10 years old there's not a song I haven't heard from Pink Floyd y'all need to react to brain damage eclipse that is a good song that is off the Dark Side of the Moon really enjoy watching y'all
One thing that really identifies Pink Floyd and is integral to their very sound is the vocal pairing of David Gilmour and Richard Wright. Their harmonies are necessary for Floyd’s identity. As you heard here
As for YES and GENESIS, listening to the compositions of PINK FLOYD is to live a musical experience at the limit of the transcendental. Thanks to you two.
I can't listen to Pink Floyd without flashing to your beautiful birthday pictures of LUCA THE ROCKSTAR.🎈🎈🥰🥰🎶🎶 Thanks for sharing your beautiful family with us. Seat belt on Amber. You're going on a trip. Fabulous tune. Love Pink Floyd. Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️❤️ 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
This is a corrupted recording of the original recording. The original is 4:03 minutes long and ends when they sing “race towards an early grave” the first time. It’s always best to make sure you select the original video studio recording. But great song and reaction
Back in the day we would get a little something, lay on the beach, star gaze to this entire album! Will never get tired of hearing this. Thx for reminding this older hippie girl it’s never too late to revisit the beach! Enjoy your reactions !
Dark side of the moon from start to finish is a single cohesive story. It's the epitome of psychedelic rock and captures the human existence near perfectly. In my opinion it's the single greatest album ever produced
That’s a weird edit of this song. Love your reaction though. I agree with other commenters. You guys should do the entire album. It’s truly a work of art.
You love Pink Floyd. You love the trippy journey. You love the “space” vibe they give you. Only one track to try next. Marooned. You will not be disappointed.
If ever ther was an album that needed to be listened to on its entirety, start to finish, Dark Side of the Moon is that album. The way one song flows into the other...it's a whole experience.
While this song is still fantastic on its own, this album is meant to be listened to all at once. Trust me, it is an experience that everyone must have in their life.
I know you guys don’t condone drugs but I’m a child of the sixties. Pink Floyd, specifically this album was Great to zone out on some really good mushrooms and kick back for the whole album. Not only were you there but your whole body was there. From Miami but always watching from Panama City Florida, USA. 🇺🇸. No Snow Just Breeze !
There are a lot of " reaction " channels out there. They react to the music, but you two FEEL the music. I love seeing younger people discovering new music, and the joy you get from it. Keep up the great work.
By the way, this is an odd, edited version, with bits missing or overly repeated. You should go with the full album version with the iconic "home" section at the end of Breathe: "Home, home again. I like to be here when I can. And when I come home cold and tired, I like to warm my bones beside the fire. Far away, across the fields, the tolling of the iron bell, calls the faithful to their knees, to hear the softly spoken magic spell." It then merges beautifully into "The Great Gig in the Sky". ruclips.net/video/6DVu9vF5J3Y/видео.html
This is one of those songs that helps you understand why hippie types would tune their TV to a movie and turn the sound off while the audio was provided by songs like this. If only for your own edification, you really want to listen to the whole album through continuously (or as continuously as three energetic kids will allow). But I really think you'd get good viewership doing some special shows featuring whole albums like this one, Sargent Pepper's by the Beatles, and Days of Future Past by the Moody Blues.
One of my Favorites by Pink Floyd 💗 In the Fall my hubby and I light a fire outside at night. We sip on some adult beverages and listen to Pink Floyd. I can't wait for cooler weather.
Try anything live from the pulse concert. One of these days, Run like hell, High hopes, or Coming back to life are all great songs I think you would like. Please do some live Floyd you will be impressed.
Guys, just do the whole album, doesn’t matter how long the video is, we will all enjoy it with you ! You do movies….do this…Have the experience already 🤩!
Say that!!
Agreed! The songs in this album almost blend into one experience as the songs run into each other - it deepens the vibe and mood.
Please, please do the whole album at one time. This record was made to listen to in one sitting

Truth
Agreed this is not the normal version of this song.
thought this was too short a song to react to but then they replayed the stanza 3x. weird
Glad someone else noticed. I was starting to question my sanity!
The unnecessary edits bugged me. Agree on an entire album review, too.
The best way to listen to Pink Floyd is by a whole album at a time, not by single songs in isolation. Their albums define perfection.
Exactly!!!!!
Same with Wish You Were Here!!!

In the conversation for best and biggest album of all time.
I think it may have re-entered at some point, maybe due to a rule change. I'm sure it's up to about 19-20 years by now.
Total as of 2015 is 917 weeks on the charts
As of 2020, 950 weeks
Pink Floyd was the music people used to listen to while smoking pot
It’s kind of weird not hearing the next song because that whole album streams from one song to another. You gotta listen to the album in it’s entirety.
I think Amber would absolutely love "US and Them" by Pink Floyd too. It's one of those, "close your eyes and disappear into the music" songs.
They did it already
They must have done pretty much all of the album by now? This one, Time, Great Gig, Money, Us and Them....now they've heard most of the parts, should (as everyone says) just do the whole thing in one go.

Pink Floyd is one of the greater rock bands of all-time.
"Dark Side Of The Moon" is a landmark recording and one of the top 20 albums ever.
Easily in the top 20 could make arguments for top 5 to 10!
"....elect Superman For President, let Robin save the day" = Thick As A Brick, Jethro Tull
make that top 3 of all time! spent 22 years on the top 5 album chart!✌🤘
Tops billboard200 in terms of weeks on the list by a mile (I think over 200 (?) weeks more than second place).
I really don't consider them to b a rock band. I'm 63 they are very good. But can't really figure out the genre.
As previously stated Breathe is best enjoyed during the.playing of the entire album Dark Side of the Moon, one of the greatest albums all time.
"One of"??? 😁
To paraphrase Brian Clough, it may not be the greatest album of all time, but it's in the top one

Thanks for letting the aliens know before they head off to another planet
My blood pressure drops when I hear Pink Floyd
The harmonies between David Gilmour and Rick Wright make one of the most beautiful sounds in music
R. I.P. Richard Wright
They'll never ever in our lifetime be another Pink Floyd it just shows the magic of human beings and what they can create AI will never replicate this

I thought I was trippin’ when it started to repeat itself, lol.
@@flatpicker74 indeed
I noticed too. Apparently not many other did.. The original track length also includes Speak to Me, so Breathe is even shorter than 4 minutes..
YES, bad version
Well now you see why all the trippy, hippie stoners were all into this album for the last 50 years!
Everything you want to know about life...you just heard it
I like that they listened to the song twice and either didn't care or didn't notice. You will freak over Shine on you crazy diamond
Check out the PULSE LIVE version of Comfortably Numb. The extended guitar solo and spectacular light show combine for an unforgettable performance.
Pink Floyd are like Philosopher-Artists who are powerful at so many levels: musically, intellectually
This Lp in 1973 was soooo huge ,,
Love your PF reactions! Please, please, please... 1994 Pulse concert, SORROW and LEARNING TO FLY.
I can't wait to see you do these!!!!
While this song is still fantastic on its own, this album is meant to be listened to all at once. Trust me, it is an experience that everyone must have in their life.
Funny, how this reaction came after "That Smell" We've all been there...
Coming down is the best
I know you guys don’t condone drugs but I’m a child of the sixties. Pink Floyd, specifically this album was Great to zone out on some really good mushrooms and kick back for the whole album. Not only were you there but your whole body was there. From Miami but always watching from Panama City Florida, USA. 🇺🇸. No Snow Just Breeze !
Panama gold and Floyd
First 2 Floyd shows we were tripping, big time. No way to duplicate those experiences, and I still remember both shows clearly.
You ABSOLUTELY DO NOT NEED DRUGS to listen to PF. Just think how many criminals you funded by buying their drugs.
Thank you, it was heartbreaking to hear this crud
Comfortably numb... live pulse concert.
Best solo... EVER!!!!
Great suggestions!!!!!
One of my Favorites by Pink Floyd 💗
In the Fall my hubby and I light a fire outside at night. We sip on some adult beverages and listen to Pink Floyd. I can't wait for cooler weather.
Try anything live from the pulse concert. One of these days, Run like hell, High hopes, or Coming back to life are all great songs I think you would like. Please do some live Floyd you will be impressed.
on the turning away you'll find the most mellow flowing sound thhat takes you on a journey
Awesome!! Of course you know they meant for us to listen to the whole album at one setting! But love their songs!!🤘🔥
The look in her eyes, she sooooooo gets it
