People's recollection of NeNe in her last SEVERAL seasons of this show is as delusional as black families at a funeral. Folks always want to act like daddy wasn't an a-hole and start acting like he was a saint.
As Chris correctly stated, NeNe thought she was bigger than the show. She believed that for years, long before she left the first time, after Hollywood sent her packing back to Atlanta, and when she came back to the show full time.
Not only did she think she was better than the women, but she was also resentful that it was her only option for a steady check when those Brian Cherry jobs dried up. That is a bad combination. You don't think you should be there, but you have to be to stay in our weekly limelight. Her misery showed long before Greg got sick.
I don't have strong feelings about her one way or the other like the RHOA stans do. I'm just basing it on the performance I saw on screen. By the time Greg got sick, she had already been surly for seasons.

Do a find a new housewife plotline with a bunch of mixers testing new women. and let the audience vote on a who comes to the reunion and joins season 17

The Bravo producers seem to be little demons REALLY thirsty, manipulative, and ruthless for a steady paycheck and recognition from Bravo executives at the expense of integrity and real people's lives and character. How Brandi Glanville described it sounds like it hit the nail on the head. They create the villains and then destroy their lives. I am so happy Kenya showed 'em she don't need 'em. She has always been one of my favorite Housewives because the girl is SMART!!!!! Kenya, Mariah Huq, Bethenny Frankel, Karen Huger, Erika Jayne, Ashely Darby, Monique Samuels, and Kandi seem to control how they ALLOW the producers to use them. I am not surprised. Kenya has shown us countless times who she is, why are we so shocked! Kenya has capitalised off being the villain.
