Ayurveda Clinics and Hospitals remain flooded with patients suffering from Backache. Most of these patients have chronic Backache. A small number of these have acute Backache.
Here we discuss 5 top medicines that are highly effective in the management of acute, as well as, chronic Backache. These are -
1. DOLID Tablet;

1. DOLID Tablet
Dolid Tablet is an established medicine for managing acute, as well as, chronic pain. It contains 3 effective pain-killers of ayurveda - Jatiphal, Godanti, and Vatsanabh.
In acute Backache, start with 2 tabs Stat of Dolid tablet, after food/snacks, followed by 1-2 tablets, after every 3-6 hours, depending upon the severity of the pain and body weight of the patient.
Most of the patients, start getting pain relief in an hour or two. On improvement, taper off the dose to the minimum dose required.
In chronic Backache, it is good to give 1-2 tablets of Dolid Tablet as and when required, along with Loswel tablet.
2. LOSWEL Tablet
Loswel Tablet is an established medicine for managing acute, as well as, chronic inflammation. It contains 2 effective Anti-inflammatory drugs of ayurveda - Shallaki and Erandmula. In addition, Loswel tablet contains an Analgesic drug - Jatiphal.
In acute, as well as, chronic Backache, start with 2 tabs, 3-6 times a day, after food/snacks, depending upon the severity of the pain and stiffness, and the body weight of the patient.
Most of the patients, start feeling relief in pain and stiffness in the back, in a few hours.
On improvement, taper off the dose to the minimum dose required.
However, if the Backache is severe, it is good to start giving Dolid tablet, also, in the prescribed dose. Combination of Dolid tablet and Loswel tablet, offers fast and excellent relief in the pain and stiffness, in the Back.
3. LOSWEL Oil
Loswel Oil is an established medicated oil for massage, in acute, as well as, chronic Backache. It contains many effective Anti-inflammatory, Analgesic, and Muscle relaxant drugs of ayurveda - Gaultheria, Turpentine, Eucalyptus, Camphor, Menthol, Thymol, Dalchini, Shallaki, Erandmula, Shunthi, Rakta-marich, rtc.
In acute, as well as, chronic Backache, start with gentle local massage of Loswel Oil, several times a day, depending upon the severity of the pain and stiffness. After massage, cover the back with a thick cloth to avoid contact with fresh air.
Most of the patients, start feeling relief in pain and stiffness in the back, in a few minutes.
On improvement, reduce the frequency of the massage to the minimum level required.
However, if the Backache is severe, it is good to start giving Dolid tablet and Loswel tablet also, in the prescribed dose.
Combination of Dolid tablet, Loswel tablet, and Loswel oil offers fast and excellent relief in the pain and stiffness, in the Back.
4. PARIJATA Ghan Tablet
Parijata Ghan Tablet is an established medicine for managing acute, as well as, chronic Sciatica (गृध्रसी). It contains 600 mg ghan (extract) of dried Parijata leaves.
In acute, as well as, chronic Backache, if a patient has associated Sciatica, start with 2 tabs of Parijata, 3-6 times a day, after food/snacks, depending upon the severity of the pain and stiffness, and the body weight of the patient.
Most of the patients, start feeling relief in pain and stiffness in the back, in 2-3 days. On improvement, taper off the dose to the minimum dose required.
However, if the Backache is severe, it is good to start giving Dolid tablet and Loswel tablet also, in the prescribed dose.
Combination of Dolid tablet, Loswel tablet, and Parijata ghan tablet, offers fast and excellent relief in the Backache associated with Sciatica.
Massage of the back with Loswel oil, brings about fast relief in Backache and Sciatica.
5. CARTOGEN Tablet
Cartogen Tablet is an established medicine for managing Osteo-arthritis, Cervical spondylosis, and Lumbar spondylosis. It contains 5 highly effective Rasayan drugs in Osteo-arthritis. These are - Ashwagandha, Shilajit, Mandukparni, Dugdhika, and Yashad.
If the underlying abnormality in chronic Backache is degeneration or dessication of the inter-vertebral discs, start with 2 tabs, 3 times a day, after food/snacks.
