+Broke College Vapor Couldn't have said it any better, we'll miss him a lot but i sure as hell wish him the best. That's the perfect way to say goodbye to a great pitcher for our team. I still wish him the best wherever he goes.
Cory Van Treuren Im not saying that every fan is like that but just look at all the historic feats of opponents at citi field recently. For example, instead of giving opposing pitchers standing ovations for throwing no hitters, they're booed.
Great to see him go all the way with this no-no. His first no-hitter with the Phillies was at Atlanta on 09/01/2014. But it was a combined no-hitter. He went six innings and allowed five walks. Jake Diekman, Ken Giles and Jonathan Papelbon finished it off, not allowing any base runners over the final three innings. Phillies won 7-0 that day.
I was at this game too. i always dreamed of watching a no hitter. It was pretty wild too- im not much into autographs any more as an adult, but the players had to board a bus beyond the right field fence and walk out the concourse after the game because the locker room remodel were not complete yet...well there was Cole like 15 ft away from me...so i got him to sign that ticket stub. Such a great memory...especially since hes a cub now.
Despite having the worse record last year, as a Phillies fan I call it a success. We traded everyone but Howard, got some great young players in return, Franco and Herrera gave us promise, we didn't lose 100 games, Cole Hamels treated us to a no-hitter in his last start, and most importantly THEY FIRED RUIN TOMORROW JR. I think we win 75 games this year with our young core.
I can honestly say yes it defintly was hamels goodbye gift in phildephia but we should be happy we can even had him as A starter during there sucess from 07 to 11.
What 11 idiots gave a thumbs down to this? Cole was remarkable for our Phightin' Phil's! What an ending for a great era for Philadelphia baseball and once again Chooch was behind the dish!
While Odubel Herrera made a terrific catch to save the no hitter, Dwayne Wise made an even better catch off Tampa Bay's Gabe Kapler, robbing him of a home run and preserving Mark Buehrle's perfect game. What's even more impressive is that Wise had just come into the game in the top of the 9th as a defensive replacement, meaning he barely had time to take stock of the situation before making the game saving catch.
Love Cole Awsome stuff he had on that mound!!! Yeah Hun think i'll grow my Beard out and ah Next week ill throw A NO HITTER!!!!BAMM cole awesome dude philly loves ya
love the guy at 4:14 and all the other fans that point at the players as if its just the player and them....like the player can spot the fan out of all those people.
What a great performance but without the 20mph wind blowing in the cubs would've had a few home runs mainly Kris Bryant. But many no hitters you get lucky.
Cole Hamels.the ONLY player in baseball history to throw a no hitter and immediately be traded to another team. No other team would dare do something like that to their team or their fans. What is far more interesting is that somehow Phillies fans thought this trade was a good move!
How did they ruin his career, I think they gave him more then enough time to succeed....even after they traded for Hunter Pence in 2011, they knew Brown was going to be the future Right Fielder....he just couldn't get the job done sadly.
+Roler95 - Gaming Channel! They're just so stagnant and boring. There are always these long silences where no one talks, and then McCarthey suddenly realizes nothing is happening, and chimes in with the count. I'm not a huge Chris Wheeler fan, but at least he opened his mouth now and then in the booth.
Storybook ending to his unreal tenure as the real Phillies Ace. Thank you for the 9 amazing years with this team
+Broke College Vapor Couldn't have said it any better, we'll miss him a lot but i sure as hell wish him the best. That's the perfect way to say goodbye to a great pitcher for our team. I still wish him the best wherever he goes.
Eric Bozzi you couldn't have written this script any better.
Gotta love the classy fans at wrigley no booing or anything they stand up and applaud him for a good performance
Yeah, only fans that dont do that are mets fans
oh can it. They tossed full beers at Shane Victorino during the first night game at wrigley they're dickheads as much as they are "classy"
Cory Van Treuren Im not saying that every fan is like that but just look at all the historic feats of opponents at citi field recently. For example, instead of giving opposing pitchers standing ovations for throwing no hitters, they're booed.
JFlay now they have him, it was part of the master plan!
@@louiswolfinger3011 dodger fans are pretty trashy too
And it was his last game as a phillie
Josh Mata until this trade deadline when they get him back
praying like hell it happens!
@@staininirvana didn't happen sorry
Makes quite a statement about the Phillies and how little that team values its fans!
Love all the camera shots of Hamels and Nola together the ace of the past with the ace of the present and future
Wow.. what a class act the Cubs fan base was on this day ... I guess they can just appreciate a well pitched game ... Well done Cubs nation : )
I come back to this every once in a while and I still can't believe we traded him after this
Fr so dumb
I remember this no hitter like it was yesterday. Cole hamels is the mvp in this performance. Wish you could come back.

Will Always Remember And Love 💕 This Game and Cole Hamels
The passing of the torch from the beloved J Roll led Phillies to the future Phillies team.
2nd best lefty in Phillies history. Thanks for the memories of a great career Cole-- especially the MVP performances in 2008 NLCS and World Series.
Last game as a Phightin. Thanks for the memories, Cole. Your Changeup should be mandatory for young pitchers to study.
I miss the phillies og's

Post tic pix ASAP to avoid BS call
I was at that game. I'm a Cubs fan, but it was still awesome to see.
4:09 What a pitch!!!
Omg that was a BEAUTY
I mean it was a strike but wasnt a good pitch at all dude threw a 4 seam down the middle
The most impressive part about this no hitter is that this Cubs team went to the NLCS that year and won the world series the next year.
Despite having the worse record last year, as a Phillies fan I call it a success. Lol that 75 looks optimistic right about now
+Euph0ricRush not really lol
Imexstylin well its easy to say that now
Ryan Howard is a strike out machine. He pisses me off a lot.
Jokers R Wild Studios you were right. Phils are in the fight for the division this year
They still haven't fixed the typo in the title...
Didn't even notice until you said it...
nearly 5 years now, still no edit
Welcome to chicago
I can honestly say yes it defintly was hamels goodbye gift in phildephia but we should be happy we can even had him as A starter during there sucess from 07 to 11.
Yeah I guess this is his first "careeer" no hitter.
back to 4th grade!
lmao i noticed that years ago, they still havent changed it

I remember this game. Herrera completely exaggerated his plays to make sure he would be remembered as making "best highlights" of the game.
Alex Miller no he just overran the play Dh
Alex Miller I agree with u Herrera was being a little bit of a dumbass
Wasn't the wind blowing in that day? I think he just overplayed the ball because of the wind.
wind
I was at the game and it was windy, Bryant's ball would've went over but wind blew it back
ryne sandberg was sitting behind the dugout and he said I knew you could do it cole
I can’t believe Herrera almost dropped that lmao
It would have been an error I think in that case.
129 pitches . When baseball was still baseball and played by real men . 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love to see it ❤ go Phillies
Cole Hamels is such an amazing pitcher. Tonight is his retirement night at Citizens Bank Park to celebrate his career!! #35
Cubs no-hit in 2015-Last time the Cubs were no-hit was in September 1965 when the Dodgers Sandy Koufax did it in Los Angeles
Bob Hendley pitched a 1 hitter that
day against Koufax perfect game.
Lou Russell got the only hit in a
1-0 win for Dodgers.
Ryan howard came up with hollywood not j-roll
3:26 -- Great play.
Great pitching! Great guy!
Welcome to the Windy City!!
I miss you Cole
What 11 idiots gave a thumbs down to this? Cole was remarkable for our Phightin' Phil's! What an ending for a great era for Philadelphia baseball and once again Chooch was behind the dish!
The last time the Cubs were no hit was against Sandy Koufax in 1965. They have only been no hit 7 times.
BLU3COLLAR-Tied with the Yankees for fewest no hitters allowed since the American League was founded in 1901.
I was watching this game go phils
Lol, 129 pitches. You’ll never see that again.
Still don’t know how he made that catch
Welcome to the Cubs
4:08 he actually argued with that call??? Even the announcer said it was a down the middle
Came here after Phillies beat Cuba 11-1 Hamels vs Nola ✅
While Odubel Herrera made a terrific catch to save the no hitter, Dwayne Wise made an even better catch off Tampa Bay's Gabe Kapler, robbing him of a home run and preserving Mark Buehrle's perfect game. What's even more impressive is that Wise had just come into the game in the top of the 9th as a defensive replacement, meaning he barely had time to take stock of the situation before making the game saving catch.
It's called The Catch forever in Chicago
IIRC, Cole threw an 8-inning 1-hit game at Wrigley in his first career start.
First time Cubs have been no hit since Sandy Koufax's perfect game against them (9-9-65).
Love Cole Awsome stuff he had on that mound!!! Yeah Hun think i'll grow my Beard out and ah Next week ill throw A NO HITTER!!!!BAMM cole awesome dude philly loves ya
Careeer
First time the Phillies no hit the Cubs since Eric Milton went 8 no hit shutout innings in 2004
To hear all this cheering for the Phillies in Wrigley is surreal! XD
Great dat to be a Phillies fan !!
love the guy at 4:14 and all the other fans that point at the players as if its just the player and them....like the player can spot the fan out of all those people.
As a Cubs fan, I quickly forgave Cole for this after he joined the team and dominated in 2018.
Actually this was his 2nd no-hitter. His first solo no-hitter.
Love Hamels when he was with phillies but kris Bryant has 2 homers this game if the wind wasn’t blowing in
And now he’s gonna play in Chicago.
First game I ever saw!
Careeer? Oh yea forgot that's how you spell it lol
and now he's on the Cubs lol
4:21 that was a good catch
Is that Aaron Nola, right in the middle, at 5:03?
Welcome.
Props to the manager for letting him throw 129 pitches. Nowadays, with all these softy pitchers, they would be taken out with 80 pitches.
Little did he know that he was doing it against his future team.
What a great performance but without the 20mph wind blowing in the cubs would've had a few home runs mainly Kris Bryant. But many no hitters you get lucky.
I found a salty cubs fan...
After November 2nd, not many salty Cubs fans anymore. :)
true
I was a little salty but he was very lucky for this no no. Cubs wouldve had 4-5 hits with no wind.
Matt Mcgavin
Yeah wind is usually something Chicago players don't have to deal with...
That catch
That Changeup is not fair
I didn't know you spell career careeer
It's called a typo.
Who else is here after the Cubs trade?
Draven Foster me
Cole Hamels.the

What is far more interesting is that somehow Phillies fans thought this trade was a good move!
He’s going to throw a no hitter against the Phillies in 2019☺️
I say he gets rocked tonight...I'll be back to say I told u so
Im back...i told you so
And it's only the third inning
Careeer!
Any Braves fans here now Hamels signed with Atlanta?
I'm a Phillies fan so I'm upset that he signed with a rival
Unless proof is posted, all attendance claims will be denied
Last start as a Phillie
last phillie game :(
We could've used Cole at last nights game that's for sure. Phillies blew it big time against an inferior Diamondbacks
not mad but out of all of the teams, the cubs get no hit by philadelphia
ysxacidhjaljdh it's not the team it's the pitcher. Hamels is good.
U guys got no hit from hamels not philly
wait. Rizzo got on base when the Phillies tried to turn 2. Rizzo got on but the lead runner was out at 2nd. So he doesn't have a no-hitter.
syouth1 nope that's a fielder's choice and doesnt count as a hit
Oh, ok. Thx.
@@JFiImz idiot
Would that of been considered a hit or an error?
careeer
25 seconds in the cubs hit the ball and the Phillies didn't turn 2 so the runner at first was safe. Isn't that a hit?
Second announcer sounds like Joe Rogan
Weird in Texas Cole now
Ivanka2024 for POTUS hes a Cub now.
Then they trade him
Funny thing is Rizzo got a base hit in the bottom of the first.
fielders choice... not a hit.
Fielders choice is not a hit. They chose to get the lead runner out instead of rizzo
Thats why Cub fans are hated. You idiots don't know baseball
***** calm down buddy... you were wrong, get over it and move on.
***** then stop watching baseball. Let real cub fans speak for you, since you clearly cannot

The most unnecessary dive by Herrera I’ve ever seen. Player trying to be the star of the show

the phillies have hella no hitters but not a very good team
If he was a dodger they would have pulled him at 100 p
It depends who is pitching. If it's a rookie they may however most of the time if it's a no hitter they will let you go longer
