    Great to see him go all the way with this no-no. His first no-hitter with the Phillies was at Atlanta on 09/01/2014. But it was a combined no-hitter. He went six innings and allowed five walks. Jake Diekman, Ken Giles and Jonathan Papelbon finished it off, not allowing any base runners over the final three innings. Phillies won 7-0 that day.

    I was at this game too. i always dreamed of watching a no hitter. It was pretty wild too- im not much into autographs any more as an adult, but the players had to board a bus beyond the right field fence and walk out the concourse after the game because the locker room remodel were not complete yet...well there was Cole like 15 ft away from me...so i got him to sign that ticket stub. Such a great memory...especially since hes a cub now.

  • @JokersRWildStudios
    @JokersRWildStudios 8 лет назад +8

    Despite having the worse record last year, as a Phillies fan I call it a success. We traded everyone but Howard, got some great young players in return, Franco and Herrera gave us promise, we didn't lose 100 games, Cole Hamels treated us to a no-hitter in his last start, and most importantly THEY FIRED RUIN TOMORROW JR. I think we win 75 games this year with our young core.

    While Odubel Herrera made a terrific catch to save the no hitter, Dwayne Wise made an even better catch off Tampa Bay's Gabe Kapler, robbing him of a home run and preserving Mark Buehrle's perfect game. What's even more impressive is that Wise had just come into the game in the top of the 9th as a defensive replacement, meaning he barely had time to take stock of the situation before making the game saving catch.
