But doing a little dance like Darumaka is honestly quite wholesome. Your Shiny luck is one thing, but finding Shiny MEGAS like nothing is another! Though...I just can't look at Mega Alakazam with a straight face. Their Mega form is so cursed. And the reason Shiny Kyogre didn't budge is because Mikey had the audacity to try to put the primal god of the sea in a DIVE BALL! Should've used a Timer Ball when it was struggling.
I have no idea why John wasted so much time doing the second gym but I’m not going to complain because it gave us an exciting ending.

I looked up Butterfree's and Drowzee's egg groups to see if there was any overlap, which there isn't, but Drowzee is in the human-like egg group which is even better. Also Purugly is my favorite pokemon, showed up while I was typing this.
I wasn't looking when my favorite pokemon/favorite shiny pokemon showed up. I'm glad that they both encountered and caught the shiny Mew

There were more than just one Pokemon in Rusturf Tunnel because only it has Whismur normally, the way the game works is that there is a set number of wild encounter slots, and Whismur just takes all of them in the tunnel

Shiny Shinx is just a walking piece of cheese that's been carved into a creature 😂If I had a nickel, for every time Mikey caught a Floette, I'd have two nickels! Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. If I had a nickel, for every time John caught a Meditite, I'd have two nickels! Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. Seriously though, that Shiny Floette Eternal Forme is absolutely gorgeous! Seeing Mikey try to catch that Primal Kyogre was...a struggle. We all felt it when it disappeared. But hey, I respect his determination to get it. Determination is something we all need. A dream doesn't become reality through magic. It takes sweat, determination and hard work. Keep believing and go far, comrades!
I feel like another challenge on Scarlet/Violet would to be to catch the most difficult to tell shinies. Either from them being too tiny or not that much difference.

@@bubblesys Doesn't scatterbug become bright white when it is shiny, instead of it's regular grey color? From what I've seen, it's really easy to spot
@@prettybadgamer3279 Yeah except it’s only found in the grass (where it’s barely visible) and it’s one of the tiniest models in the game, on par with Flabébé and Joltik.
@@bubblesysScatterbug is easy to see in the grass (it's big ol' head is mostly above it), and while it is a tiny model, it's head is big and wide enough to make it easy enough to spot
Mikey challenging John to a shiny challenge is so weird because of John's history of shinies in the John Micheal Cup season 2.

To be fair, while amusing, John's time spent fooling around and doodling with the whiteboard essentially balanced out Mikey's time spent trying to catch Kyogre.

Also big note: I checked the catchrate many times during the Quetzal 100 days thing I'm doing, and it turns out Mew's catchrate is not impossible, it's 45 (5.9%) instead of the usual 3 (0.4%) some other legendaries have
