Ryan so confused why he couldn't turn, when his front wings were gone. Rear spoiler gives downforce for speed traction. Front wings give downforce for turning traction.

OK so for future videos... Losing the rear wing will make the rear unstable and spin out loads at high speed and braking... Losing the front wing will make the car not want to turn in, or even have the front lift up completely, as Ryan experienced..
So, if losing the back excessively increases your turning angle, and losing the front decreases it a lot, then losing both would make you turn normal-ish? Just with some extra lifting up issues?
@@lxik2677 Well, sort of, losing both will mean your car will just be really unstable at speed, so it'll still slide wide on entry (as there's no downforce on the front tyres), and then spin up the rear wheels on power and slide around a lot (no downforce on rear tyres). And both axles, though particularly the rear, will be much more likely to lose grip due to bumps and kerbs as there's nothing more than the weight of the car pushing the tyres into the road

I love that the damage to the vehicles actually affecting how the vehicles handle makes them actually try to avoid sprunking each other.

I think the reason people would inexplicably fall of the ceiling on the last race was that they were being drafted on and I think drafting makes you faster and the person your drafting slower and in this case lose speed and it's downward force. Meaning you can sprunk without touching them and introduced the offensive drafting
It's desync nothing else
Imagine how catastrophic an F1 race would be if all the racers had the bloodlust of the AH boys

the front spoiler leave the car on the ground if it was not there the F1 cars would go flying off the track, because there no weight in the front except for the front wheels and axel
@@KingofClubsMCDLXXXVIII Yes, the front of a race car his very light, there a famous cars name the 405 t16 that when it started it would do vertical wheelies, F1 would do that without it front and back spoiler. The car i name kind a force car conceptor to make functional spoiler, and most of F1 cars crash that involved a car going flying his because it lose it front stability or his lifted up a bit, some of the most insane accident involve such a situation.
@@hatsunevmiku7331 Your claim of no weight over the front wheels is false, as F1 cars have around 45% of their weight in the front. That's important for keeping weight on the tires, pushing them into the track when the wings aren't being effective.
I also have my doubts that running without a front wing would cause F1 cars to flip over at speed, especially now as the rest of the car is also designed to generate downforce.
Most F1 car flights I can find were the result of ramping, hitting something that caused a jump, like tire to tire contact or a curb. Tire contact is quite energetic, actually. To date I have yet to see an F1 car flip over due to loss or reduction of downforce without contact.

16:47 the stickers on an F1 car are actually incredibly important to how fast the car goes. The more stickers and big names you have, the more money you have to make your car go faster. So ironically enough one sticker can actually give you +15hp as many like to joke
The performance of the open wheel cars rely on the different panels on them (wing, front splitter, etc.) and when they fall off the performance of the cars are greatly decreased so having them stay on is the best case senario

Matt really is a good sport. I know it's jokes but they've really been laying into him lately for his "mistakes" while everyone else gets a pass when they mess up. I'm not a huge fan of that type of humor but as long as it's not effecting Matt negatively it's fine. Matt always tries to be upbeat and helpful in videos and on his twitch streams that it makes me want to see them lay off on him.
Jeremy actually does let up a good bit when Matt mentions he's not in the mood for it. He chuckles about it, but he also leans off. Then again, they're like. Super best buds, so I'm not surprised. I thought it was sweet, though.

It doesn't even take knowing about front and rear wings, it just takes the basic understanding of "smashing your fucking car into things damages it and when a car is damaged it doesn't drive as well". I don't know how none of them have figured this out.
@@THENAMEISQUICKMAN GTA doesn't usually take any of that logic into account when dealing with vehicle physics. So it probably never occured to them because of this fact.

Soft tires give more traction but blowup sooner, harder tires is less traction but last longer. Rear wing also known as a spoiler gives down-force, helps prevent over steering (like a drift, or 180/360), front spoiler also known as the splitter also gives down-force and helps prevent take off (which Ryan was experiencing) and prevents under steer, so example you steer left but it doesn't turn as sharp left as you want, it goes straighter. The boost is called Kinetic energy recovery system or KERS. It charges when you let off the gas, but it really charges faster when hitting the brakes, just like a hybrid. LS is to turn on the boost, left stick again turn it off, but can sometimes take a second it seems... or it's cosmetic.
Every time Gavin insults someone, Jeremy makes a weird noise/voice, Matt laughs, or Ryan has something inexplicable either happen to him or come out of his mouth, I fucking lost it. I've missed the race videos so much, they're my favorite
