@3xodus Lulu at least had a reason: Nomura was explicitly giving the team a character whose movement (especially running) would be a challenge to animate. They responded by only showing Lulu above the waist is most scenes.

What sets Sora apart from the others and Riku is that despite the circumstances he has been subjected to his power isn’t derived solely from his own abilities but from the hearts he’s touched and bonded with throughout his travels, without them to back him up he’s not as strong as Riku himself under the same conditions. Sora is still a capable Keyblade warrior on his own merits but it’s only around the events of KH3 where you can make the argument that he is finally around the same level as Riku by his own merit. As the famous KH motto goes for Sora: “My friends are my power!”

Because, if that WERE the case, Sora would have never won any 1v1 fight in the series ever. Sora has beaten individuals like Roxas, Luxord, Hercules, Genie Jafar, and several others by himself. Hell, in fucking KH1 Sora beat Riku by himself WHEN RIKU HAD ANSEMS POWERS. Or did you forget the part where Donald and Goofy were literally ejected from the battlefield? Sora has literally been stronger than Riku in 1, 2, and 3. Only time he was weaker was KH3D and that's only due to Riku's gimmicky immunity to having his darkness manipulated compared to others. But in pretty much every kther way he is inferior to Sora and the vast canonical evidence backs that up.

Hell you can’t even use the Riku-Ansen fight as a proper example for gauging the power between Sora and Riku because it’s technically not actually Riku fighting Sora but rather Ansen using Riku’s body and abilities to fight Sora along with using a technically incomplete Keyblade. Roxas is one adversary that you mentioned as an example that can’t be reliably used to gauge the power difference between Sora and Riku either because both of em have technically beaten him before, even if you try to use the instance where Roxas beat Riku before it would only mean that Riku lost because he was holding back (Riku was trying to subdue Roxas in order to bring him back to DiZ in and help awaken Sora again), as soon as Riku used his darker powers he easily knocked out Roxas at his peak in seconds. Also in KH3D Riku’s dream powers in that game originated from Sora, he quite literally became Sora’s guardian angel in the dream realm without knowing it and is technically Sora’s strongest dream eater (no coincidence that the dream eater sigil is branded on Riku’s back which kinda looks like “wings”). Using KH3D to gauge the power levels between Sora and Riku is mostly redundant given the nature of dream worlds and the dream realm itself in general, unless it’s strictly for within the context of the dream realm. On a side note: let’s not forget that Sora has had multiple hearts resting within his own that have helped him indirectly throughout the KH games; like Roxas giving him access to dual-wielding Keyblades and Sora gaining seamless access to 3 separate Keyblades though it’s one at a time which may be a nod to the 3 hearts that are either resting or tightly linked to Sora’s heart during KH3 (Roxas, Xion and Ventus).
I cant handle how Riku is jusst repeatedly trying to save Sora in the Xemnas battle. Like he was already down and still ran to save Sora and got hit again😂😭
Fun fact: When Sora cries the first he leaves Twilight Town... it isn't Sora that's actually crying... it's Roxas crying through Sora. (Edit: I have seen many first time playthroughs of the kingdom hearts games. I have seen this fly over the heads of some of the people that play. Just because it's obvious to most of us doesn't mean it is for everyone.)
This found its way into my recommended and It's so heartwarming to see first time reactions again. Especially after playing all the games yourself, seeing a newcomer is just so salty, yet sweet. I know whats in store, but i love that you're still pushing on. Overall, great video
Christopher Lee’s inclusion is a perfect example of how to get a celebrity actor to appear in a disney product. He’s not too annoying, his inclusion is brief, he’s badass and also he actually contributes to the plot. I miss when Disney actually was thoughtful about celebrity actors instead of just making them for easy marketing.
This was the case with Billy Zane, the actor of Ansem SoD in KH1. His performance is very memorable, and for some reason SE thought Richard Epcar did better. Subsequently, Hayden Panettiere (KH1 and 2) did not reprise her role in later entries. Explain this to me, those who can...

Roxas's line "maybe you forgot, but we're broke" is my first staple of Roxas' personality being so relatably realistic I'm talking about what comes in the next game

“I believe Kingdom Hearts is about childhood trauma.” Honestly after the ending of the mobile game I have to agree... when the mobile game revealed what Dream Eaters *actually* were in the ending I cannot look at Dream Drop Distance the same.

Kingdom hearts has been my favourite saga since I was a kid, seeing people play it and enjoy it is awesome for me and damn you make my cry for half an hour. Glad you enjoy it and thank you for reminding me why I love the saga. I'll definetly check your other content on twitch ^^
We have the benefit of time with these kingdom hearts collections now because we can play them in an intended chronological order (BBS aside) because the Roxas and Axel stuff hits so much harder now. We didn't find that out for like 4 years after Kingdom Hearts 2. Watching this makes me need to get get back to my series playthrough.
Please don't go straight to kh3, play/see the other kh by the time you get to kh3 the scenes will be much more meaningful. PS: It is highly recommended that you buy the DLC of KH3 as it brings certain surprises that might come to please you.
I have to say changing Utada's song with rikus theme somehow made me cry even more. This is like the Kingdom Heart time, everybody's playing the games, I just beat Ventus and Aqua story and going through Terra and can't wait to be in KH3, that was some good reaction but there is a game that everybody's missing, if you play it I guess you had a lot of emotional moments if you don't I truly recommend to you to beat KH 356/2 days, is not the same playing the game than watching the movie, Roxas story is one of the best I experienced so far.
Agreed. 358/2 was my first game in the series back when I was in Jr. High, and Roxas has always been my favourite protag. Shame he really got the short end of the stick for most of his life.
Please keep in the emotional moments as much as you can. It really shows that this series is worth a lot to us as fans and isnt a joke like a lot of people think it is.
Now this is a real reaction when someone is in tears. I never cried for this ending but it really is a good ending over all. I will say I almost cried to your reaction when you almost cried.
Roxas is such a beautiful character. A hollow boy made from the body of somebody else who returned to Sora once more to end his somber summer vacation. The final lyric of “What’s left of me now?” during Sanctuary feels as if it’s Roxas speaking. He’s given me so many tears and smiles.
Roxas's whole story is so tragic, and him telling Sora he's lucky always gets the waterworks going. That, and the good-bye at the train station. Such a great series. ;w; And the whole tragedy that is Sora fighting against Roxas. A boy who the World rejects, robbed of everything good in his short life, had to watch through the eyes of his prison as his only friend died for the person who held him prisoner. It makes sense that all of that desperate anger would explode like that, that he'd try to find any way to get any semblance of control back for himself...
Played every game multiple times and I still think KH2 is the best of them all. Also loved these reaction clips. Always dope to see someone enjoying this masterpiece 👏🏾

Had started crying while watching you play the intro. Since my best friend had committed suicide a few years back, those Roxas and Axel scenes hit pretty hard.
I highly recommend actually playing 358/2 Days on DS as it acts as a companion story to KH1 and CoM as well as filling in the gaps between CoM and KH2. It even introduces a new character that is undoubtedly one of the most influential characters to the tragic backstory of Roxas. Xion, the fourteenth member of the Organization.

Kingdom Hearts 2 was the first game I played in the series and I have to say the restoration scenes perfectly captures most of everything that happened in the first Kingdom Hearts and Chain of Memories for new players Even though I didn't know what was going on and I was getting annoyed because I wanted to play as Sora I kidd you not that scene where Roxas says his summer vacation is over it spoke to me I felt so sad and couldn't stop thinking about what happened that the scene imprinted on me till this day I was 10 years old. In my opinion playing Kingdom Hearts 2 first made playing Kingdom hearts 1 and Chain of Memories that much better once I got the full context.
I love to see people who play games like this just get into it and have an emotional reaction to the story....I'm basically the same way in itself and it just makes me feel so connected in a way to the characters......I can't wait to see the other games you play!

Ohhhhhh mannnnnnn Kingdom hearts 2 has such a special place in my heart. This is one of the very few games that I actually beat. Most games I'd get to the end and stop playing. And the story. Watching this is memory lane. Thankyou.
I keep coming back to watching videos of people's first experiences with this series because it's honestly just so fucking magical man. Also highly appreciate the love for Oathkeeper and Oblivion. I got my girlfriend into the series and we eventually got those two keyblades as promise necklaces because even though she loves Kairi and hers, those are the only two keyblades that come in a pair.

You're lucky you're playing the final mix. Dying as Riku in the original release would've started the entire sequence over. Right back at the door to Kingdom Hearts
What an experience kh2 is. No worries about crying a lot, i cried ENDLESSLY beating roxas. I fought him after NEVER owning final mix. I just got a cutscene in the og ps2 version. So fighting him when being leveled enough, fought and beat him on my first try with a limit form sonic wave. Yeah. Such a closure.

I just came across your videos, I don't know in what order you are playing them but from what I see in the reactions there are games involved that you did not play. The story is very complex and even the cell phone game is relevant to it. Roxas's whole story is so tragic, and him telling Sora he's lucky always gets the waterworks going. That, and the good-bye at the train station. Such a great series. ;w;
And the whole tragedy that is Sora fighting against Roxas. A boy who the World rejects, robbed of everything good in his short life, had to watch through the eyes of his prison as his only friend died for the person who held him prisoner. It makes sense that all of that desperate anger would explode like that, that he'd try to find any way to get any semblance of control back for himself...
Played every game multiple times and I still think KH2 is the best of them all. Also loved these reaction clips. Always dope to see someone enjoying this masterpiece 👏🏾

Had started crying while watching you play the intro. Since my best friend had committed suicide a few years back, those Roxas and Axel scenes hit pretty hard.
I highly recommend actually playing 358/2 Days on DS as it acts as a companion story to KH1 and CoM as well as filling in the gaps between CoM and KH2. It even introduces a new character that is undoubtedly one of the most influential characters to the tragic backstory of Roxas. Xion, the fourteenth member of the Organization.
Got recommended this video today, I'm just happy it's not just me that balls over Roxas' theme.

Kingdom Hearts 2 was the first game I played in the series and I have to say the restoration scenes perfectly captures most of everything that happened in the first Kingdom Hearts and Chain of Memories for new players Even though I didn't know what was going on and I was getting annoyed because I wanted to play as Sora I kidd you not that scene where Roxas says his summer vacation is over it spoke to me I felt so sad and couldn't stop thinking about what happened that the scene imprinted on me till this day I was 10 years old.
In my opinion playing Kingdom Hearts 2 first made playing Kingdom hearts 1 and Chain of Memories that much better once I got the full context.

I love to see people who play games like this just get into it and have an emotional reaction to the story....I'm basically the same way in itself and it just makes me feel so connected in a way to the characters......I can't wait to see the other games you play!

I keep coming back to watching videos of people's first experiences with this series because it's honestly just so fucking magical man. Also highly appreciate the love for Oathkeeper and Oblivion. I got my girlfriend into the series and we eventually got those two keyblades as promise necklaces because even though she loves Kairi and hers, those are the only two keyblades that come in a pair.

I played on ps2 and if you died there it gave you the option to retry to battle or reload
What an experience kh2 is. No worries about crying a lot, i cried ENDLESSLY beating roxas. I fought him after NEVER owning final mix. I just got a cutscene in the og ps2 version. So fighting him when being leveled enough, fought and beat him on my first try with a limit form sonic wave. Yeah. Such a closure.

I just came across your videos, I don't know in what order you are playing them but from what I see in the reactions there are games involved that you did not play. The story is very complex and even the cell phone game is relevant to it. I love kingdom hearst it is a beautiful game and I am glad that it reaches more people and generates all these feelings (sorry for google english)
