Stephen Dorff was amazing as Deacon Frost and he is still the best Bladevillain in my opinion . There was talk about a Deacon Frost prequeltrilogy with Stephen Norrington directing it and Stephen Dorff would reprise his role . That would be awesome :)
Can't Mossad The Assad Nomak was more of an anti hero. He actually didn’t hate humans his only enemy was his father. Eli damaskinos was the villain of blade 2 he made his own son an abomination.
1:36, very accurate. I love the way he explains everything. I still have a crush on this man still to this day, haha. I love his films and the work he does. I'd love to see him play this role again one day, if possible. :D
I never knew Stephen did an interview while on set in full Frost look. By looking at his gestures and movement , you can tell , he put a great deal of himself into Frost . Love 💓💓💋
Nowadays Stephen Dorff likes taking shots at Marvel movies and the actors in them. But, I'd still like to thank him for playing Deacon Frost in Blade. Without his contribution and the success of Blade back in 1998, I don't think we would have gotten X-men just 2 short years later in 2000, and then an explosion of comic book related movies shortly there after. Here's just a list of the Marvel related movies as a result of the success of Stephen Dorff and Blade. Blade II (2002), Spider-Man (2002), Daredevil (2003), X2: X-men United (2003), Hulk (2003), The Punisher (2004), Spider-Man 2 (2004), Blade Trinity (2004), Elektra (2005), Fantastic Four (2005), X-men: The Last Stand (2006), Ghost Rider (2007), Spider-man 3 (2007), and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). If not for Stephen Dorff and the success of Blade and the comic book movie explosion that proceeded, it's highly unlikely that we would have gotten the beginning of the MCU with Iron Man in 2008, which of course directly leads to Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow in Iron Man 2 (2010) and eventually the self titled Black Widow (2021). I should point out that I saw all but one of the movies mentioned above in the theaters (Blade) and purchased all but one of the movies above on DVD or Blu-ray (The Punisher). Within that same time frame of 1998 - 2021, I have not seen a single movie with Stephen Dorff in the theaters, nor do I plan to unless he's in an MCU movie. There are several I have seen and enjoyed either on DVD or streaming services; Zoolander, Deuces Wild and Word Trade Center, plus the TV shows True Detective and The Deputy. Anyways, I'd like to thank Stephen Dorff again for helping light the match that lead to the explosion of comic book (not just superhero) related movies. And I'd like to thank the folks in all of those comic book related movies for making movies I actually want to see and will spend money to do so and not just making your own little vanity projects that perhaps only "true artist" could appreciate.
Think about before his portrayal of Deacon Frost, vampires were depicted as the Bela Lugosi stereotype and after Blade all vampires are based on Deacon Frost archetype.
Your forgetting about Fright Night, Lost Boys, Near Dark and The Addiction changing that stereotype into more realistic, grounded vampires that are metaphorically drug addicts and junkies.
I agree I feel like blade should have killed off everyone except frost and his right hand man. And then the second one they could have had frost breeding a new type of vampire with his blood God powers, because technically in blade trinity La magra was the Dracula they uncovered from Egypt. It would have tied in great with his story line
Frost in the comics was an ancient vampire from Britain, if I recall correctly. The writers of the film made him a fairly new convert, and also wrote him to be the catalyst for Blade even being a vampire himself, which sets them up as opposite sides of the same coin.
One of the other comments here makes a good point. Deacon Frost may have been the first successful version of what we now see as the standard younger, cooler. heart throb vampire. So, not only is Stephen Dorff responsible for that we he appears to disdain (the MCU), but also things like Edward of the Twilight Sage and the kids in the Vampire Diaries. Now Buffy the Vampire Slayer the TV show with Angel did come out first in 1997, but I'd be curios to know which one went into production first.

He will always be Blade's best adversary in my opinion. Nobody else could've played Deacon Frost the way Stephen did.
He was a perfect choice for that role. He's actually a good actor. It is sad that he never truly made it in Hollywood.
He is awesome in the new season of True Detective. Hopefully he will get bigger roles from now on, because he is very talented.
Are you kidding me? He's been working consistently for 30years. He does TV and Blockbuster movies
Never made it big? He's worked with Jack Nicholson, Harvey Kietel, bunch of other tremendous actors too.
@@nathanjackson1042 I think he means as a leading role. His films where he's the main star are all much smaller films.

I iove Deacon 😍😍😍
Man he is a beautiful man wow. I was actually supporting frost in the film.
Stephen Dorff was so sexy as Deacon Frost in Blade. He made the own Deacon be the sexiest vampire villain ever with the own Count Dracula aswell.❤
Dorff is a legend. He was the king of swag in Blade. Had all the guys hating on him 😎💯
Great black leather style for an evil vampire. I liked him for his black leathers. Wished he would reprise Frost's role in future vampire flicks.
Underrated and underused actor
God that man was gorgeous 😍
Deacon Frost best villain of Marvel movie univers
With the fangs in...I like it, LOL! At 1:09 it seems like he is actually speaking as Deacon Frost, talking about the blood tide.
So handsome, I love the movie
Deacon Frost has very cute eyes
He looks like a real life anime
All his movies are gruesome with a dark twist
I love it
He didn't need an imposing physique to exude that evilness
Why this guy never blew up is mind boggling.
That man knew he was gorgeous, as he should 😻 is it odd that I wish he had that vampire lisp in real life. 🤤

The first blade was the only good one...they really shouldn’t have killed frost off because he was a great villain

Deacon Frost in films was more extravagant than his comic counterpart.
