System is actually really simple and pretty much everything makes sense intuitively. Tags: Physical, Throwing Attack, Strength, Dexterity. So it makes perfect sense to me and anyone whos touched the game for a few minutes.

Bro you need to upgrade the affixes on your items / weapon. Use the shattering rune on your old weapon and use the void runes to upgrade the void affix on the new weapon.
You not upgrading and dealing with the affixes hurts my brain. The forging mechanic is straightforward, easy to learn and one of the most important mechanics of the game. Of course you're struggling beyond level 50, you have poorly upgraded equipment. Even if you don't follow a build guide you can zoom past the campaign with just decent enough upgrades. Getting Void damage on your gear is vital for late-game scaling if you're going Void damage, and mana regen is important for that sustain.

Asmon seems to like trying to get to end-game doing the bare minimum. Loot filter seems pointless to him until he knows what he's doing end-game. Upgrading gear is pointless for him until he's on the last piece of gear he will ever need. He's still getting through it, let him play the way he wants guys. IDK if you will read this comment, probably not, but you can highlight items with stats you like using lootfilter. You can keep your item plan open while making sure you don't miss anything that has immediate value, like void dmg, hammer level, or whatever. You can select highlight color and create your own tiers, like items that have 2 or 3 stats that you like, or a stat with a certain tier. Nobody should have to browse through bad stuff all day long like we did in D4, that's why you feel like you only loot trash. YOu can also target items with high base level in order to have the best implicit stats. Weapons have higher base dmg at higher level, etc. Take control of the loot, building your loot filter is a part of building your character. Have fun

The damage is okay, but the downside of this build is that he has to stay in place mostly and cast it, while later on this would prove problematic in terms of survivability.
Loot filter needs to be setup... even just a basic hammer filter you can import.. it just makes things so much easier in the long run for a bit of messing around initially.
Me and Asmon are playing the same class. My build is a stand there and spam buttons build. If I ever have to move when fighting a boss/elite, then my build is off.
to who ever said "no need for crafting this earlier" isnt really playing id bet. im level 40 (just hit) on a spell ward mage build, and my damage is 3x what his lvl 50 character is. (my resistances are weak af a the same time however) but still, the forge shit is well worth the hassle. especially when you have an ass load of affix/prefix shit to use. "his builds SHIT" and in desperate need of respec!
@@midnight51 yea probably, anything is better than what he's using, he hadn't done much crafting at all and using both melee skills and throwing based ones makes it even harder to get the most of gear
yeah, that's why there's so many different defensive options. you can't just rely on resistance stacking so you do have to build into armor, dodge, block, endurance or ward in end game.
Ward is not great outside of specific builds. Health, armor, crit avoidance and endurance are all more important than ward. Dodge/block/glancing blow are also good
@@joshholmes1372 im not very far as im pretty casual in LE atm, but I have a couple pieces that give me ward on hit along with health on hit and kill so i can wade thru jsut about anything and my ward hardly drops as a void knight. I also have rive specc'd instead of hammers like asmon did which gives me health+mana on rive hits. everything counts as they say.
@@venchergaming When you're leveling, life leach and ward can get you a long way. Endgame need you to build your defense differently, but that's something to worry about once you're there. Beside, I think Amon just proved you can bruteforce the campaign with anything😅
Honestly, these login and network issues with the game are frustrating. But you can try switching between offline and online modes. If online isn't working, simply switch to offline. Once the network stabilizes, you can switch back. It's really quite simple. I don't understand why people are trying to force their way into the game. The current ladder system for arenas isn't very competitive yet, and there's no need to rush to catch up with players from the last epoch. Just take your time, relax, and enjoy the game.
I was waiting for 1 hour before I could even log into the game today. Another 25 minutes to teleport from The End of Time to monoliths. Works fine once you are there, but holy crap are the server ass. Forget about playing the campaign, just stay with monos if you are there.
Hey so im looking for some recommendations. I‘ve never really played one of these diablo types of rpgs, besides maybe hades if that is comparable. I play on Playstation and Switch, so if someone knows a gem or two that are on these platforms, please let me know.
His refusal to use base game mechanics is kind of painful. A loot filter just to reduce items to those that have at least one affix that I want takes 10 seconds to setup, literally only requires two lines and he complains that he can't find loot. He doesn't experiment with the skill trees if something isn't working out, it's like he is scared to respec. He hasn't taken more then a cursory look at crafting, to notice the different tiers on stats or the fact that it consumes a finite resource to improve an affix.
I think he would have a lot more fun with a basic loot filter and a shred of crafting knowledge, I didn't engage with the crafting until I reached monoliths and it was a mistake. You get a lot more stronger with a little basic crafting and playing feels much better.

I have 5.5 hours logged on steam, with 30 minutes of actual playtime. Anytime i got to a new area it disconnects. My case is extreme but im sure its not just me.

Offline characters can play cycles. All cycle content added in the future will also be available to offline, confirmed by the devs themselves on stream.
No offence to the Americans, but here in EUW I was playing fine until the Americans woke up and then it all went to hell. I got kicked out of the game and couldn't log back in to the zone I wanted to go in. I won't pretend I wasn't a bit pissed off at the yanks. I just decided to play offline. It runs so much smoother offline and its honestly not really the type of game where I play with friends that much.

A lot of my resistances come from waiting for bases with implicit resistances & then trying to craft some decent mods onto those

At 2:08:08 you vendored a 2h sword that was really good. You could have re-rolled lightning dmg for chance at void/physical %
t4 melee void damage and no shred/shared void pen/or increased area suffix, on a mediocre base , not really that good tbh
I think the 2H axe he also sold was better. He could've rerolled the Melee Cold Damage for attack speed.

My rule of thumb. Wait 3 months to a year after a release to play. By then they worked out the kinks and its probably on sale
Resists in this game only make a difference of 75% more damage taken for being at 0 versus 300% in other ARPG's

I have 5.5 hours logged on steam, with 30 minutes of actual playtime. Anytime i got to a new area it disconnects. My case is extreme but im sure its not just me.

@SlumbrTracksTime based. If you play at high pop times you are going to have a much worse experience.
I have 50 hours of in game time and the game is absolute trash.

loot is pointless in last epoch. your power comes from upgrading skills.

Offline characters can play cycles. All cycle content added in the future will also be available to offline, confirmed by the devs themselves on stream.

No offence to the Americans, but here in EUW I was playing fine until the Americans woke up and then it all went to hell. I got kicked out of the game and couldn't log back in to the zone I wanted to go in. I won't pretend I wasn't a bit pissed off at the yanks. But I get it, we all want to play because it's so damn fun and it's not the Yank's fault they're timezones behind.
Ironic, because when the "yanks" wake up in the morning the servers are fried because all the EU people are on.

It's like calling someone from Birmingham a "brummy", though that reference might not make sense to you. Suffice to say, it's not an insult in any way so please don't take as such.
I don't like the issues, but as an IT person I completely relate. Also, it won't ruin years of gameplay development if i can't play for a week. Game's great
2:03 bad build, bad gear, low dps as for your level - resists will do shit if you struggle with mobs that should die instantly...
