Such a cool watch. I've got a spb051 and a sla043. The 043 is a beauty too, especially with the ever bright steel. The blue seconds hand adds a touch of visual interest too. I think all the sla models are nice, but agree that the 017 is the truest form to the original. It's a shame that seiko didn't do it as a general release to compete with say tudor and omega etc ..
Congratulations! It's a beautiful watch. Just as an FYI, the watch came out in 1965. The "62" in 62 MAS is the first 2 numbers in the original reference number, which was 6217-8000/1
Hey there , i had a question/ request for you. Could you please measure and let me know the size of the sapphire crystal, just to get an idea of the dial size and dimensions so i can envision it on my wrist. I would be very grateful to you if you could help me out with this, thanks!
The legendary 8L35. Most underrated movement in the diving community. Very robust and reliable needing very little maintenance. Not made very beautifully like Swiss movements but made strictly for accuracy and overall function.
They make the SPB143 for the "common folk" who couldn't pick up the LE, which in my opinion is a very solid piece and very attractive especially for the price.

It is one of the most beautiful divers available. Thanks for the review. I own the 043 which is more affordable to me.
An amazing watch as well!
Nice job on the vid. Definitely one I would want👍🏻
Thanks 👍

6.5" always
Bezel is not ceramic and it's not an exact copy of the 6217
the original had an applied logo not printed so it is not an exact copy
Yeah and the original did not say 200m either
and the movement??

Seiko should not have stopped this one. None of the successors look as good

why the gloves? it's just a watch
Makes it easier for the viewer to focus on the watch and not my hands haha I am not this delicate with my watches during the day :)
Fucking creepy gloves wtf
They're Jeweler gloves
