Its ironic that I can find more full disassembly videos on my crappy old HP laptop than I can on my newer Dell inspiron 5577. Great video by the way.

The battery on my laptop went out and I wanted to replace it. I was afraid to open the case because it was difficult. This video gave me the confidence to get it open and proceed with replacing the battery. Very helpful, thanks so much.

Nice clear teardown.
Only addition I'd have liked would've been a better documentation of the components.
Onboard eMMC & ram BGA's, WLAN port type, any unpopulated ports? etc etc.
I lost one of the tiny screws for the mother board. Had a look in my shed and found a 6 inch fencing screw, pretty fat too
Screwed that baby in and viola, it sticks out a bit and the screen wont close any more, sort of sticks out the bottom too so it cant sit flat anymore, but I can live with that because it wont turn on any more.
i use soldiering iron sir when we replace a keyboard the same as that keyboard and it is a nice end firm just like the original one
Good to know!!

I was looking for this video 6 months ago.
It turned out that a "technician" that my auntie gave the laptop to fix it. (It was not turning on )
Stole the memory from it.
When I went to open it I found an empty space where the memory was he, my auntie had a lot of photos she wanted to get back. It's sad to scam an older person like that.
I had to tell her the photos are gone. And when I asked her where she brought it she said that she doesn't remember the store.
I can't believe that person got away like that.
But still a helpful vid hopefully it will help someone else.
Very sorry for your experience :( If your model is this exact same model however, the RAM is integrated into the motherboard. There are no slots in this motherboard for additional RAM.
@@PC_Monkey pretty sure by memory they meant storage. Most people who aren't as experienced with this kind of tend to call the HDD or SSD the memory instead of the RAM.
I have a friends HP Stream 11 Notebook (r002) and it will power on okay with a newly purchased Power Adapter. Though when I left it to charge up for 4+ hours, as soon as I unplugged the jack, the Notebook shout down. Therefore, I need to get either a new battery or the trickle charge circuit on the battery or motherboard is faulty. How do I test the battery with say a multi metre before going and purchasing a new battery unit?
You cant really check the battery with a multimeter unfortunately. If the battery is not charging, try these fixes first; ruclips.net/video/arZpfqcVoUs/видео.html. If those dont work then I would replace the battery
Same model. I was actually watching this tear down to check HDD OR SSD install location, which I couldn't find. Anything related to that😂😂😂

Can you please list everything that's upgradeable in this model? I saw you decline several parts of this model in the comment so I wonder what's left that's upgradable....
Not much can be upgraded. The HDD and RAM are integrated into the motherboard and those are two things that people usually upgrade in their computers :(
You can potentially upgrade the wireless, to something with 5ghz, and add a couple more antennas inside the case.

Hp stream, when I turn it on, gets hot on bottom of the laptop ? Running Windows 11, would it be software or hardware problems. Thanks like your video,
1. Is that the only sign of life, that it gets hot? Lights? Fan, Motherboard, or Hard Drive sounds? Anything seen on the screen?
2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
Just overheating, once it's gets overheating lost the Wi-Fi connection unit it gets cooler, no van, or motor in stream. Thanks
@@kervindow2444 An overheating computer can be damaging multiple different components if not resolved. First, make sure that the fan and vents are clean and clear. I would have to find out why its swollen before offering a solution. I would open it up and see what is the issue.

Not in this model. The storage is integrated into the motherboard. You would have to add an external storage device.
Hi Sir if the display of LCD not working, but power is turn on,what is the possible cause? Thank you.

If multiple keys on your keyboard do not work then you should make sure all your updates are processed as seen here; ruclips.net/video/eY_Yww2-Kyw/видео.html. If that does not work, then most likely your keyboard is faulty and needs to be replaced.

@@parthl yes mine does this too, I believe it's because it has no RTC battery and so when the battery runs out, the BIOS system time gets reset, and that can prevent it from booting.
