The other day I was talking with a friend who has a 2013 Focus 1.0 Ecoboost with 320.000 kms with no breakdowns. For all the people who think these small engines are weak. Good test Joe!!!!
I used to be skeptical of these small cc engines but ever since I got a motorbike I realized that a well designed 1.0 with 125 hp is more than enough for a car this size. And it looks stunning in this blue.
I had the bad opinion about 3cl engines, but then i rent a C Max with the same engine. Even heavier, and what a surprise. Engine is nippy, loves to rev, and uphil going realy fast and all that will family of as 4. Only downside is how bad it sounds and vibrations when you turn the engine after cold night. But after 5-10 min it is ok. When i got back from holliday. My 1.4 tsi 150 FR Seat Leon did not felt so faster after all. To many speed cameras in my country and i think that this power is just fine.
Great video! I have just bought this car (in black). Can I ask, did you find the engine quite loud? As in almost sounding like a diesel engine? First time driving the 1ltr so am unsure if its supposed to be that way. It sounded loud in your video too! Many thanks.
I was dissappointed when i test drove this car. The engine is a little gem but the suspension and overall cabin noise on rough roads are a bit harsh, typical Ford Europe.
It’s actually a lot faster than you think. It’s not exactly an M4 fast for example but it’s quick enough if you live in the city to get you out of trouble. I had the same thought then did a test drive and was surprised it was only a 1.0L.
I like your videos and the car, but I just think you push to much from them and then the fuel consumption that you show at the end is a little bit fake. You call it "casual driving" but I think the entire video was in "spirited drive" as you also call it in other videos. I have that same car with that engine and I manage to make 6.2 l/100 km and I actoually don't drive slow.... I like spirited drives but you could've split the video in two parts, one more calm and the other half driving faster. You can have more people watching your videos with theese two types of driving "modes". Keep safe!

@@JoeBlack9 To są opcjonalne LEDy statyczne, wielosoczewkowe. Focus rocznik 2021 (jak z dzisiejszego filmu), zamiast halogenowych reflektorów ma bazowe reflektorowe LEDy (i halogenowe drogowe).
For someone who’s never had a car with sport mode before. When would you say the best driving situations are to use it. And will it run down the engine quicker if you used it a lot ?

my daily focus 1.0 have 150.000 with no problems
my uncle was unlucky enough to have about 17 breakdowns in the 5 years he owned his 2012 focus before he had to give it up because of narcolepsy

So basically, if you drive "sporty" with some gas and rpms, these engines consume much more fuel than old engines. Thanks for the video!

This might be nicer if they put the 1.0 with the automatic 8 speed box
Not rally - Ford's 8-speed auto isn't very smooth and it increases fuel consumption by 1-1,5l/100km.
You don’t have this with an 8 speed box? We do here...

I have 1.8 diesel 2001 engine is still nippy but body is nearly gone
After watching this video I want new one 1.0 st.....
It actually looks like quite a nice car but I would rather get something with a bigger engine. I'm not keen on a car of that size depending on a 1.0L

Good car overall, but the Ford engine still sucks for me. The only Ford car with a powerful engine Is the Mustang, which Is really good of course.
