I'm pretty sure he had moved on from the role and i think some people are reading too much into his movements. The whole lip licking thing the Joker did actual came from Heath having the habit of doing that. It was just exaggerated for that character. Obviously, you can find similarities in movement because it's still the same actor and in a way he was in another high energy/clownish role like the Joker and even The Brother's Grimm before that.
His family said they laughed many times during The Dark Knight because they saw many of his own mannerisms and humor in the Joker. Therefore, what many people see as the Joker staying with Heath is really just Heath applying himself more.
He achieved a level of mastery that so few every truly acquire in their lifetime and careers. He tapped into something special. This video is haunting like a 1920s pantomime. Especially when he is covered in gold make up. His precise control of his facial expressions is eerie. Rest in peace young prince
Damn he seemed like such a nice guy like a man you could stop in the street and ask for directions and he would help God bless you Mr Ledger R.I.P. and thank you for for truly giving us entertainment to watch time and time again!!!
Heath i love you,you were the first actor i've ever admired you were beautiful, incredible actor, good guy why did you have to go soo soon???i miss you heath and i hope you're fine wherever you are.rest in peace my sweet blonde angel3
Most reports and biographies say that it was just a month in the hotel room. I'm pretty sure he got a very good grasp on the character and that was it. Everyone who worked with him has already said that he was very much present on the set. I think he knew who he was at what he was doing.
It is wonderful this, I have the IODP dvd and this xtra is on, the best part is when he is in the white suite with bluescreen behind, throwing his wonderful long hair aound, he looks so relaxed....RIP HEATH
I guessing that you're suggesting people stop saying he was stuck in the Joker role. If that's the case, I agree. He had moved on. Even when he was filming that role, the actors he worked with have stated that Heath the person was very much available when he wasn't acting in front of a camera.
You guys even notice how he still does Joker's physical movement and everything, when he wiggles his hair and everything, it's like that scene when he's in the cop car sticking out the window.
To tell you the truth, from watching his physical behaviour in that video, I never would have suspected he was devastated by his split with Michelle, or the fact that he was exhausted and sleep deprived from his role in the dark knight - it was really amazing that terry and everyone working on set of parnassus noticed that he wasn't his usual self and that something was bothering him.
@@Luca-VA fucking thank you. Everyone tries to paint this picture like he was completely fine and then all of a sudden he played Joker and all of a sudden developed problems.
It's so strange how there is still this kinda joker thing in here. This was filmed like 2 weeks after filming The Dark Knight. And you clearly see a change in his way he does things. Look at him how he wiggles his hair and this move at 0:35 is exactly like the Joker. Someone said that the role of the Joker destroyed him inside. I can understand that because sometimes its hard to get out of a role. Jack Nickolson warned him before playing the Joker. He said that the role would "eat your mind from the inside". But that is not the reason why he died.
Wtaf? of course, it's the same actor. As if he was a completely different person for every role. Of course it's Heath. Every character he makes has every of his being Heath. People overthink too much and it's just dumb.
MasterSquish I know right! I think people need to understand that although the joker was a character that was completely different from heath ledger, heath still used his own normal movements and that’s why you can see that that’s how he moves in real life because it is literally him.
Nobody has ever said Joker “destroyed him.” His family, friends and people who actually knew him said he loved the part and how much creativity it allowed him. It in no way destroyed him, killed him, or gave him the problems he self medicated.
People tend to overlook his obvious drug use. I don't know why. He was my favorite actor and I know that could have factored into his death, along with sleeping pills, smoking a lot of cigarettes. I saw interviews of him and he was always high on something.
@robslifting4life exactly thats what i was gonna say.. even at the start where he's putting the wigs on... the movement and the lip licking and stuf.. it was such a big character it was hard to shake off
Well, it would make sense if all of his "Joker twitches" were more exaggerated, the guy had spent six months holed up in a hotel room reading Joker comics to prepare for the role. That probably caused some sort of split-identity thing.
I respected and loved Heath as The Joker, But to all the people refusing to see him as normal person after the film instead opting to make him the character he played because their belief in the intensity of the character is shaken by the actor's other behaviors : "Why So Serious?" . Tom Sizemore played the respected Sgt. Horvath in Saving Private Ryan . Then released a fucked up sex tape. Ruined his image. Didn't ruin the character
+Harley Quinn This is Heath and yes he had blue contact lenses for this film. I don't know why they wanted him to have blue eyes but i guess he looks cool.
Xentaa The plan was that one of the lenses would fall out at some point and reveal his real eye, to send a message to the audience that the character is not what he seems
Ledger is so hilarious to watch
See how precious life is. One bad moment and you are gone.
I love his dorkyness. It's so cute to me. It might not mean much to others but everything to me. I understand him. I love him. He knows. It's so hard.
i relate to this so much. i understand.
How about stop writing shite!
How can you not fall in love with this guy?

No he done that wit his mouth to stick up the plastic wit the joker film
@@fatcarti it was both reasons actually.

I can't stop smiling! He's sooo beautiful! :3 x x x
seriously. all his looks toward the camera. omfg.
Because your shallow
he was a pretty man wow
God please bring us back Heath ledger 😢
I will ask God for that 💔😿
Gosh, I really miss him.

So beautifully said.
I love to watch this .. it feels so free
@@sundance9042 Totally agree! Can't believe it's been about 14 and a half years!
I miss him 🥺
Damn he seemed like such a nice guy like a man you could stop in the street and ask for directions and he would help God bless you Mr Ledger R.I.P. and thank you for for truly giving us entertainment to watch time and time again!!!
Sad he struggled with substance abuse. It was sort if obvious and sad. He's always been my favorite actor.

heath is angel, is love.
Despite him suffering from insomnia he still has energy. Wish you were still with us Heath. ❤
This is where I recognized his beautiful eyes. It was all in his eyes. I could see exactly who he was before I even knew.
explain to me
Who would dislike this! I love Heath!
Nobody hates this
My love♡

he was very innocent soul without any snnobery

I agree
Him getting mental problems from TDK is total bs
@@Luca-VA fucking thank you. Everyone tries to paint this picture like he was completely fine and then all of a sudden he played Joker and all of a sudden developed problems.
heath had mental health issues long before he played the joker. the role didn’t ruin him.
He's perfect ..
Thank you for this. I love Heath in this movie.
yeah, and at 0:35.. just like when he says "..simply makes you stranger." as Joker :D
Fanboy boring comment!

+The Joker he did lock himself up in a hotel room for a month to prepare for the joker role. it wasn't likely to leave him that easily. :)
Well, watch out Joaquin Phoenix he normally puts his all into his roles and it's easy to see how jared Leto wasn't affected in anyway;-)
Wtaf? of course, it's the same actor. As if he was a completely different person for every role. Of course it's Heath. Every character he makes has every of his being Heath. People overthink too much and it's just dumb.

Dude was drugged out of his eyeballs on Oxy during this time.

aww heath ledger, he was so hot, it a shame that he had pass away, i miss not seeing his face in any more movies he was one of great actor
@0:52 is when he hangs out of the police car in the dark knight.
Omg yesssss!!! Hahaha
@robslifting4life exactly thats what i was gonna say..

HEATH JUST FINGERED US LOL
Umm okay that don't sound right but okay?

You can see a little bit of the joker is still in him here
Am I the only one who still sees the Joker??
I love to watch this .. it is like mesmerising a silent film 🎥
1:05 jesus his cheeks are defined
10 years Gone?!
South Brooklyn misses you still
I wonder how Andrew and the rest of the crew felt the day after finding out...
I saw somewhere that Terry (the director) broke down on that day. I wish I could find out where I read that though. So sad, either way. :(
Looks like nice
This is probably the last video with him... :-/
Anjo 😍
OH MY GOD!!!
Here we see joker trying to figure out what he should wear
Какой актёр.....Изумительный...Был..

1:25 The cutest finger anyone have ever given to me!!! :'D
😍
@TheOneWithTheHair1 Goddamn, I really miss him. Too beautiful in every way.
Btw what is the name of this music?
Well, it would make sense if all of his "Joker twitches" were more exaggerated, the guy had spent six months holed up in a hotel room reading Joker comics to prepare for the role. That probably caused some sort of split-identity thing.
Heath had brown eyes. Either those are damn good contacts, or something bizarre is going on.
MercilessV the director wanted his character to have blue eyes, there are contact lenses
Your number 17 means something whether you realize it or not. We all have a number. It connects you to your mate. We all have someone we belong too.
anyone who claims that the joker role consumed him and was the cause of his death play them this video.
i noticed the he was doing the same gestures with his mouth. guess he couldnt get rid of that role because he never did that before in his movies
why does he have blue eyes?
Thank you for saying this. Jesus, some of these mannerisms are just things people do everyday.
The hangman - deeper meaning??
@robslifting4life
That's what I was thinking!
Excuse that last comment. I found it right after I left here.
He looks weird in here. So nervous and seems thinking about something intensely and can't seem to hide it well...
Someone posted he was a drug addict. My uncle and sibling used to be also , had same nervous energy
Aww, he was such a handsome and great actor! But, what happened to his eyes? He has blue eyes here. Did he use lenses?
yes, there's is another video on this channel with commentary from the director, he mentions lenses.
The idea was that one lens would pop out at some point to show his real eye colour, to signal to the audience that the character isn’t what he seems
he was just break on trough to the other side to becoming a supreme actor...
I died at 01:20 and 01:47 haha I really miss him
THE MAN

Non aveva gli occhi azzurri, li aveva nocciola. 😥
William Dafoe needs a role as the joker man
1:24 😳 👌🏻 👈🏻 lol
Well, he did become so engrossed in the role that he essentially became the Joker...
that cant be Heath because of the obvious blue eyes unless there contacts but it looks like there are none?
+Harley Quinn This is Heath and yes he had blue contact lenses for this film. I don't know why they wanted him to have blue eyes but i guess he looks cool.
hey puddin! lol cause ur profile name;) wow i had no idea it was i wasnt getting that ''oh thats heath ledger vibe haha The Joker
Harley Quinn Well hello beautiful. Nice to meet you :D
